A tag has been placed on The Genie Company requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. June 2010

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from The Genie Company, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. I noticed you placed a similar speedy deletion notice on the article's talk page. It may not have been your intent to disrupt the administrative process, but all that is required for a hangon is to place that tag beneath the deletion tag. However, without addressing the copyright violation, the article still warrants deletion. I encourage you to write a new article using your own words, referenced with reliable sources. Again, I ask you to read WP:Accessibility#Color and stop changing the navigation box header. Thank you. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 05:22, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you doing this? What part WP:Accessibility#Color were you unable to understand? Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 20:08, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination for deletion of Template:Skal vi danse?

Template:Skal vi danse? has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Thank you. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 05:24, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Kyron Horman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Herostratus (talk) 05:54, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What an unspeakable tragedy. Still, I don't think we will keep this article, due to our particular standards for notability. Thank you contributing the article, and I look forward to more contributuins from you. Message me if you have any questions about this matter. Herostratus (talk) 05:58, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an administrator on the Wikipedia. I am just another editor like you. I don't know if Kyron Horman is notable or not, that remains to be determined. I made the suggestion that he is not notable. I am just doing my best to improve the encyclopedia to the best of my ability. There's no need to be snarky. Herostratus (talk) 13:47, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TFD template

I have readded the {{tfd}} template to Template:Skal vi danse?‎ that you removed. The discussion is still going on so the template should remain until the discussion is over. The removal of the notice will not stop the deletion discussion from happening. Thanks. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 06:48, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Kyron Horman, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kyron Horman. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Herostratus (talk) 18:15, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Admin

The proper channel for nominating yourself for adminship is WP:RFA. However, I don't think it would go well due to your lack of understanding of wikipedia policy, e.g. (this, and this). However, I could be wrong. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 20:08, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Photos earthquake 7.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Photos earthquake 7.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — ξxplicit 06:33, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free files in your user space

Hey there Dungcamed2010, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User talk:Dungcamed2010. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.
