The citations refers to a dead link which seems to be about 12 rounds put in some time around 2009, but i've noticed this top of the pops reference has been here since 2007. I have also checked this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_performances_on_Top_of_the_Pops and cannot find anything. I remember his music video being feautured on the show once in 2006 but do not ever remember anything about a performance, so should this be removed or am i missing something, also the first page of my best friend google didnt get me anywhere. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.218.69.152 (talk) 20:12, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Protection

I think this article should be protected so that only auto-confirmed users can edit it again. I've had to revert a lot of things because IP addresses have been vandalizing and putting things in unsourced. --☯The Dark Lord of Wiki(talk) 15:37, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am sure you mean semi-protection for protection is only when administrators can edit it. My suggestion is go request page protection here but before that you might want to read WP:PP just to know it a little better. Good Luck ;) Jhenderson 777 19:37, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, it has been semi-protected for one year. --☯The Dark Lord of Wiki(talk) 13:43, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Filmography box

I've added a filmography box. I felt it was needed. Feel free to expand, move, or delete it. CollisionCourse (talk) 04:30, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Legendary

Can someone with an account change the info about Legendary to past tense? It shouldn't be "he will co-star" and "it will be released" now that the film has been released —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.45.28.247 (talk) 16:45, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. -- ThinkBlue (Hit BLUE) 16:56, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

John's Debut

Under his "Debut" you put 2001. Are you talking about his debut in WWE? He just had his 8th anniversary in being in the WWE, so that would be in 2002. (He Tweeted about it) Mkcduck (talk) 05:07, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He was in the WWE before that. I saw him (and Rey Mysterio) wrestle dark matches at a taping of Smackdown I attended prior to their official TV debuts. Spartan198 (talk) 21:05, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Then it should state that he began wrestling in 2001, but he debuted on television in 2002. --☯The Dark Lord of Wiki(talk) 02:33, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New Persona

He has recently been working house shows under a mask, being billed as "Juan Cena", John Cena's latin american cousin, could someone add this in? 74.129.253.192 (talk) 20:48, 25 November 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.129.253.192 (talk) 20:44, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should wait till he debuts it on TV. I have read this, but if I add it someone will remove it. Some people on Wiki are stubborn, KCDavis (talk) 20:51, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure? I know there has been information posted in the past regarding what wrestlers do at house shows, like when Tyler Reks first turned heel, it was during his work in house shows, and it was posted on his page. But whatever you think is best, you know way more about what to put on wiki pages than I do, lol. 74.129.253.192 (talk) 21:11, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Until there is a source, and attending a house show is not a source, then it stays out. Darrenhusted (talk) 23:48, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
no Declined Like Darrenhusted has stated above, unless there is a source - and some rumors floating around from house shows do not count, basically meaning unless it appears on TV, it's a no. It's not about being "stubborn". This is a encyclopedia with a level of quality control. Not a rumor mill where half the articles are copied and pasted amongst different "news" sites. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 00:31, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I won't fight you for whether or not it should be posted, but for the record, it isn't just a rumor, he has been working under the mask and is being advertised for future events as the "Juan Cena" persona. 74.129.253.192 (talk) 02:24, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Source 1 Source 2Source 3 Source 4 Just some proof on this topic, to state it's not a rumor. Devil (talk) 17:27, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But the problem is none of those confirm that he has appeared as such, and that it has been him. Plus, it's only one source, and a dubious one at that. They even admit themselves to be a rumor site. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 21:14, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just as a further example, I'll cite this article from the same site: "Part of the reason CM Punk was added to the RAW announce team is because Vince McMahon is high on a three-man team.". Are you serious? You know this how? Source? Come on, what sense of proper journalism is occurring here? ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 21:18, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, those "Sources" above are only rumors, but fans who appeared at house shows have confirmed that John Cena is working under the new gimmick of "Juan Cena". Not only that, but the booking sheets for next week's KOTR episode include the name as well, and I doubt it's a coincidence. So I'm assuming he will make an appearance on that night. I guess the best thing to do, which would work out well for all, is to wait and see if he uses the gimmick on TV, and if he does, then add it. But like I said, it's up to you guys, if house show activity is something you see as needing to be added, then I suggest add it, but if it seems unimportant, then leave it be. 74.129.253.192 (talk) 04:25, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just on a separate note, with regards to the ongoing Nexus storyline, it should be mentioned that WWE.com is NOT a valid source in this situation. WWE.com is used to push storyline and thus is as much a part of the ongoing work as any WWE RAW, Smackdown, or any PPV. Remember, this is the same website that reported Jeff Hardy to be found unconscious in a hotel stairwell in order to push a scenario at Survivor Series, a tactic which was found to be utterly tasteless by many media outlets who took the story literally (1, 2, 3, 4) and earned a most disgusting tactic of the year award from The Wrestling Observer. For anyone is interested in this specific news posting, it remains available on WWE.com. Just a little something to keep in mind. Sometimes, the lines are blurred. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 18:02, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, but if you look at Jeff Hardy's page, it's there! 68.204.47.18 (talk) 22:01, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, in a small notation with a very specific mention of it being part of the storyline and not one but two verifiable sources. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 03:59, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We should include it, the WWE Roster page state he's appearing under the name. Devil (talk) 17:26, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Where on WWE.com does it state this? ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 18:28, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
WWE ROSTER page, here on Wiki. You must have misread. 82.21.196.236 (talk) 18:59, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
True, on the page for WWE Employees, it states that he has been working house shows under the name. So I say either use that as a reason to add it, or delete it from that page. I vote for the former. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.129.253.192 (talk) 20:49, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To the user posting from 74.129.253.192, I suggest reading this. Also, Wikipedia articles citing each other has always been looked down upon for the better part of the existence of this encyclopedia, and is, for all intents and purposes, outright forbidden. I suggest looking at WP:CS, WP:RS, WP:V, Irregardless, that article has itself been a battleground as I've seen it go from John Cena entirely removed, to John Cena on Smackdown, to John Cena on NXT, to John Cena as Juan Cena and everything in between. It's probably not the best place to look for validation of a point. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 22:41, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, I didn't literally mean "Vote" in that sense, I meant I think it's the best thing to do. Like I said before, I think all activity, regardless of whether it be on TV or not, deserves to be put on the page. If someone is working as a heel at house shows, do you not think it should be right to post that said wrestler is currently working as a heel at house shows? Or do non-televised events not matter? P.S, if anyone still has doubts about Cena performing as this gimmick, here is your proof. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.129.253.192 (talk) 00:58, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No doubts at all. The only question is notability. That's why I just suggested waiting till it hit TV as typically, house show events do not carry over. Hence, they are usually disregarded (see other wrestler related articles for examples of such). Especially with regard to if a wrestler is working as a heel at house shows but as a face during televised shows. Such is generally seen as not notable and not mentioned. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ② talk 02:11, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, it defiantly shouldn't be included, the WWE are officially nixing the "Juan Cena" persona, as it wasn't getting over with the fans, guess old school type storylines aren't very popular these days. 74.129.253.192 (talk) 22:00, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

THIS NEVER HAPPENED

In the music section, something on the last line says Promotion for the album lead to Cena being the only professional wrestler to ever perform on BBC Two's long running Top of the Pops.[181]

—Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.218.69.152 (talk) 20:12, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
