:There are varying accounts of Osama bin Laden's time at Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. The best-sourced account I've seen is from Lawrence Wright who interviewed one of bin Laden's contemporaries from the period. He studied economics but began working for the family firm while at university. Unable to balance the two, dropped out a year before graduating.
