(We already have an article about another Norwegian doctor with and identical name, professor Eirik Solheim.) |

In which article does this reference belong? |
|||
(The administrative proceedings against him, might be more notable than the doctor himself. And if none of these are notable enough to warrant an article, then I think that the references might be notable enough to warrant inclusion in some other of our articles. Suggestions? |

The reference indicates that he was a member of Vigrid (Norway). But I have no references that show that he was a notable member of Vigrid.--Hirzflag (talk) 09:03, 24 August 2011 (UTC) |

I cannot see that "Nordic Feminist University" is a legit English translation of the institution in question. Geschichte (talk) 18:05, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
- Kvinneuniversitetet is using Women’s University as an English translation of the name of the institution. Se the In English section of http://www.kvinneuniversitetet.no/.Carpalim (talk) 20:19, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
The owners of the domain http://www.kvinneuniversitetet.no are not affiliated with this institution (see [1] for an overview of various institutions with similar names). Feminist university is the common English translation of kvinneuniversitet. The translation "women's university" is rather misleading, it's not a women's college or a university for women as that term would generally imply in the English-speaking world, but rather an institution focusing on feminist studies ("kvinneforskning" in Norwegian). One of the other feminist universities, Kvinneuniversitetet Nord, used the translation "Northern Feminist University"[2]. Feminist university is the term used by the founder of the first such institution and co-founder of this one, Berit Ås (B. Ås, "The Feminist University." Women's studies international quarterly no. 4 1985). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toriland (talk • contribs) 18:38, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Bjugn trial
"Bjugn-saken" — what should be our name for an article?
- The Bjugn trial? (Nobody by the name of Bjugn, was on trial.)
- Trial in Bjugn?
This is a link to the Norwegian article, http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bjugn-saken.
--Putersmens (talk) 07:48, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- Perhaps Bjugn affair. It is about more than the trial(s). --Hordaland (talk) 09:20, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

birthday.no
Could someone who speaks the language please comment on whether or not this is a reliable source?
It has been used here.
Thanks in advance, Chzz ► 23:59, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know what sources it uses, but it looks rather sketchy on the first view. I'd say no. Eisfbnore • talk 09:14, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. I think the article has moved on now, anyway. Chzz ► 07:34, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

English name of "Statens autorisasjonskontor for helsepersonell"
What should the Enlish name of the article be? Statens autorisasjonskontor for helsepersonell?--BustingInflatedEgos (talk) 19:37, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
Notability of recipient of
Is Svein Eidsvik notable? He has an article on Norwegian wiki.
The 2 references of that article are
- http://www.dagbladet.no/2009/11/13/nyheter/forsvaret/dykkere/9023881/
- http://tidsskriftet.no/article/1087171
He is a recipient of King's Medal of Merit — in gold. --Ønography (talk) 13:04, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
- He has authored/co-authored the books at this reference, [3]--Ønography (talk) 13:15, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
- Maybe, but the Norwegian bokmål wikipedia doesn't do a good job at telling why this person is important enough to have an article. Ters (talk) 14:05, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
- Does anyone see anything notable in the references (apart from the discussed medal)? Does anyone have any other references with notable info?--Ønography (talk) 15:56, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
- The Dagbladet reference doesn't look that notable. As for the medal I'd say that Order of St. Olav recipients are notable, but Merit Medal recipients not automatically so. Geschichte (talk) 20:35, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Notability of Utøya mass murder-victims
Are there any of the victims of the Utøya mass murder (that do not have articles) that are notable? At least one of them has an article on Norwegian wiki.
