You deleted a page i created on the new sport of Sprawling back in 2006. I was gutted to hear about the planking accident/death in OZ (May 2011)- annoyed wikipedia deleted our sprawling reference as it is a safer version of the sport that probably predates planking! Can you advise on whati need to do to get the page reinstated if it still exists in the archive and repeat the checking process?
Some time ago you deleted the page One Christmas, a short story by Truman Capote. As a courtesy, I am letting you know that I intend to recreate the page so it meets, at a minimum, Start Class standards. As such it will have in-line citations from multiple, non-trivial published works. As such I think it would meet the guidelines for Wikipedia:Notability (books). In particular it would meet the "threshold standards", as well as criteria #1.
On a completely different note, I think A Diamond Guitar needs to go as it will never meet the guidelines above. I think I have marked it for deletion properly, but you seem to be an expert, so if you are inclined look it over, tag it, etc. per Wikipedia guidelines - that would be great. I put my rationale for deletion on the talk page.--Npd2983 (talk) 20:00, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am a parent of a child who has been harassed in Wikipedia. Upon investigation, I see that this person has harrassed other people for several years.
I wrote to Jimbo Wales, but uncivilised administrators removed the comment and promptly banned me. When I put my comments back, they used the convenient excuse of removing the comments because User:Parentsp was banned a day earlier. This is akin to corrupt police. What the arbitration committee should do is to carefully read what I wrote. There is not only harrassment but the offender is guilty of conflicts of interest (writing about his own company).
You may email me, if desire. I left my email address at User:Parentsp. I am Parentsp, Parentsp2, and Parentsp3. This would not have been necessary if people would just act like a civil person and not a corrupt police trying to destroy evidence. Just review my complaint.
All editors' behavior should be looked and going by Elen of the Roads comment that due to family trouble she has been unable study this properly. Elen quote "I have the sense that there have been other people who have been problematic, but not the time to look at it deeper. It's unfortunate" Will you please come and comment here about this. Dear Mailer diablo, A quick question...
Dear Mailer diablo,
A question from a Wikipedia complete novice. I just stumbled across the fact that someone apparently created a page on Wikipedia about me, which I never saw, and was then deleted (in 2007). From what I can understand about how the site works (very little), and forgive me if I have misunderstood this which is very probable, it looks like it might have been something to do with you. Firstly, I'm curious to know what was on the page in the first place, and wondered if there is anyway that I can still view it. Secondly, having stumbled upon what I gather were the comments exchanged in the process, they made my eyebrows raise a bit. I was a little bewildered by the tone and apparent hostility from people who didnt appear to know me or anything about me. Anything else I leave to your judgement, and wouldn't really know what to do anyway (I was quite please to have found your page here), but just for the record, I thought I should at least correct a couple of the comments from others...
1. [Unsourced (and has been so tagged for some time) article about totally non-notable author of non-notable book and handful of white papers Bigdaddy1981 05:09, 6 August 2007 (UTC)] MY COMMENT: HAD I KNOWN THE PAGE EXISTED I'D HAPPILY PROVIDE SOURCES, AT LEAST ONCE I KNEW HOW TO ON THE PAGE. OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE ARE ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINIONS, BUT I'VE AUTHORED FIVE BOOKS, ALL HAVE HAD NATIONAL / INTERNATIONAL MEDIA COVERAGE, ONE OF WHICH WAS CONSIDERED AT LEAST A MODEST BESTSELLER IN THE NON-FICTION WORLD, AND HAVE AN ENTRY IN 'WHO'S WHO'
2. Delete A quick google search shows up no reliable hits for this subject. It is also impossible to verify the contents of this subject from third-party reliable sources as well. --Siva1979Talk to me 06:41, 6 August 2007 (UTC) MY COMMENT: THIS PERSON CANNOT HAVE LOOKED VERY HARD, THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF HITS THAT RANGE FROM BBC, TO FINANCIAL TIMES, NEW SCIENTIST MAGAZINE AND VARIOUS OTHER SOURCES (THE FINANCIAL TIMES POSITIVELY REVIEWED THE LAST BOOK, ALTHOUGH THAT WAS SINCE THIS COMMENT WAS MADE)
Delete Vanispam that didn't get caught by the doorkeepers. -Drdisque 07:57, 6 August 2007 (UTC) MY COMMENT: I'M GUESSING THAT THE TERM VANISPAM IS AN ALLEGATION OF SELF-GENERATED (VANITY) SPAM - ON THAT, AS I MENTIONED, I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE PAGE EXISTED SO THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE
Delete unless reliable sources are provided which show how he meets WP:BIO. Stifle (talk) 21:24, 7 August 2007 (UTC) MY COMMENT: HAD I KNOWN THE PAGE WAS THERE, OR EVER SEEN IT, AND IF I KNEW HOW TO, I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY TO PROVIDE ANY APPROPRIATE SOURCES.
Anway, thanks for you time, and sorry if this is from out-of-the-blue. It was an odd experience to stumble across this so long after the event.
Thanks for your note about the previously deleted page, of which I was unaware. I don't know what the deleted page content was but the current article is completely based on verifable facts.Shaibalahmar (talk) 12:23, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How are you, Mailer diablo? Hope arbitration is not eating up all your spare time. I believe you are aware of the extensive history of vandalism and BLP violations affecting the article Xiaxue, which continues even after I rewrote the article. Perhaps you could help monitor the article and, if appropriate, semi-protect it? I also rewrote Money No Enough and both articles are on peer review in preparation for GA nominations. A review of Money No Enough or review of Xiaxue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 谢谢. Terima kasih. Arigato. If I am still actively editing when you are trying to get to Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 to GA status, I would be more than happy to comment at its peer review. All the best to you, both in real life and Wikipedia! --J.L.W.S. The Special One (talk) 10:36, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Signpost Interview
"WikiProject Report" would like to focus on WikiProject London Transport for an upcoming edition of The Signpost. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, you can find the interview questions here. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. If you have any questions, you can leave a note on my talk page. Have a great day. – SMasters (talk) 02:38, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I see that your an active reviewer of DYKs, would you mind taking a look at the two below. It would be much appreciated, not to worry if you can't. Thank you.
Thanks for all your contributions to Wikipedia, especially Singapore-related articles! I have written an article about Pathlight School, a Singaporean special school for autistic children, and am aiming to make it Wikipedia's first GA pertaining to special education. You are invited to comment at its ongoing peer review; any and all constructive feedback would be most appreciated. All the best in all your endeavours! --J.L.W.S. Okay, I give it 24 hours first, a symbolic gesture to get everyone on the talkpage. If it still occurs after that I'll extend it to a week. - Mailer Diablo17:26, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The time of the edits from the IPs and two accounts don't overlap, from behaviour alone without running CU looks obvious he's the same person. I'll AGF so long he sticks to his one current account and sits down to discuss on the article talkpage instead of edit warring. - Mailer Diablo05:54, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
One of the article Celoxis I wrote in wiki was deleted and I understand the reason of the deletion. I intended to put this article for the information and not for the advertisement. I am here to provide all the required information on Celoxis as a company and need your help in submitting the article again as it is my first article on wikipedia. Below are some references for Celoxis
You need to include not just references, but reliable 3rd party sources. Only the PC World one seem to stand up to the test. You'll need to look for more such sources and address the concerns in the AfD if you want your recreated article to take hold. - Mailer Diablo06:05, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Mailer for your response. The references I listed are reliable. Business.com is one of the well know business search engine. They reviewed Online Project Management softwares and has listed Celoxis as one of the online project management software. TopTen Reviews is also a very well known website which ranks the product on their capabilities and Celoxis is one of the ranked product on TopTen reviews. Also, these Business.com and TopTen Reviews are listed on Wikipedia, so they would have been already authenticated. However, if you still think these are not reliable resources, can you please let me know the reasons. 61.8.140.170 (talk) 10:03, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
These are my recommendations based on past experience, I'm just saying how you can better your chances; Wikipedians prefer sources that are easily recognizable by everyone. - Mailer Diablo10:21, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I believe the sources provided will be easily recognized as they are well known sources. To take this further, can you please let me know the next step to restore the Celoxis page, so that I can modify it to enter all appropriate information as per Wikipedia policies. 61.8.140.170 (talk) 12:26, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I will register and try to re-create the article with revised text. But it will allow me create the article with same name Celoxis? If not please guide me how to create the article with same name. 61.8.140.170 (talk) 10:31, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"I believe that Tenmei was trying to create an appropriate backdrop for later helpful and meaningful discussions ...."
The Senkaku issues were not simple; but there you have it.
Even this diff does not alter your judgment in this instance, I hope it will influence your thinking in other cases which arise in the future? --Tenmei (talk) 03:56, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
