Regarding Charlie Zelenoff
Hello sir. Aren't the links/sources i posted on the Charlie Z page enough? Charlie Zelenoff is famous in the boxing community. He's even famous in the mixed martial arts community. I'm not sure if youtube links are acceptable, but his youtube video fight against Mayweather has almost 300k views. Isn't that enough for him to have a wiki page? Cheers.

Finding Highly Composite Numbers
Hi Cerebellum. Thanks for your supportive comments about my (first) article. When I wrote it, I did not realise just how strict Wikipedia is. I have looked up the various links to Wikipedia rules which were included in the deletion discussion and it is quite clear that the article infringes on the rules about original research. And while some of this work (possibly all of it) has been done independently elsewhere, I have also done it independently. I have had an interest in highly composite numbers for two decades and first implemented the successive prime factors algorithm for finding them about nine years ago. At that time I was not even aware of the term "highly composite numbers" let alone the research of other people into those numbers. I am a professional computer programmer, not an academic, so I don't see myself being able to comply with all the requirements for references and citations. Therefore my first Wikipedia article will probably also be my last.
Thanks for your suggestion about Wikibooks. Once the discussion about my article has run its course, I'll probably explore this further.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Gilbert Cory, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.coryfamsoc.com/john1/john1/b619.htm.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Removing Speedy at Gilbert Cory
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Gilbert Cory, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:05, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:StormShadow 07.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:StormShadow 07.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Heya
Thanks for your review of Clement of Alexandria. I'm ultimately looking at getting these articles on Eastern church fathers to FA standard, but it'll be some time (wanna GA them all first!) - your suggestions will help ! --23.20.130.229 (talk) 21:31, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- PS - Clement's thought on theological issues can be hard to define (although on moral/societal issues he normally has a clear viewpoint), especially as his "secret" theology is markedly different from that found in the trilogy. I therefore found it much easier to write about the contents of his works, and thus give the reader a sense of his theology. You're right that a summary could be useful - perhaps before the works section ? --23.20.130.229 (talk) 21:58, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- I enjoyed reviewing the article, I don't know much about Eastern church history and it's always a pleasure to learn more. :) Right now I'm working to improve articles related to the works of John the Evangelist, but when I get through with that I'll see what I can do to help you out. I agree that the "Theological works" section gives a pretty comprehensive view of his theology, but since it's so detailed a summary section would help place the commentary on the works in context. I think a "Theology" section could include info on his moral and societal views, plus separate descriptions of his secret and traditional theology. If I understand things correctly, people sometimes attribute ideas to Clement which are not his own, i.e. the Mar Saba letter, so I guess you have to be careful about what you say. Whatever you end up doing, the article is a great addition to Wikipedia and I wish you all the best as you continue working :). Thanks, --Cerebellum (talk) 22:59, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Re Article for Creation about Bernadette Davis
Hi Cerebellum, thanks for re-reviewing my article for Creation on Bernadette Davis. I wasn't quite sure what the new comments you had added to the article - was it just reiterating Nolelover's comments that I need to prove the notability and significance of Bernadette Davis? The problem I have is that most of her work was in the 'pre-internet reviews' era: I have trawled the net looking for articles, quotes, reviews etc. from sources considered valid, but she was most actively writing in the mid- to late-90s when there wasn't the same amount of information available on the internet - I guess most of the articles and reviews back then would have been paper based. She then retired for a while to have a family but is now back with a new upcoming comedy series on BBC 3 (see my links!) The sitcom 'Game On' was a huge hit at the end of the 90s (described as part of the zeitgeist that came to define a generation" and as a "sitcom that was so of its time, that it took its name from a catchphrase of the decade" (Yorkshire Post, Interview with Matthew Cottle, one of the 3 main stars, along with Sam Janus, now on Eastenders, and Ben Chaplin, now in Hollywood) - and it rightly has its own page on Wikipedia. However, all the acclaim and attention seems to have gone to Andrew Davies, and hardly any to Bernadette Davis (no relation) - the most heinous example of which is on the BBC Comedy website itself (http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/gameon/) which says Andrew Davies co-wrote it - but doesn't say who the other co-writer is!! So I thought it was only right to reset the balance, so to speak, by at least giving her her due on Wikipedia. I have tried to post as many links and references as I can to her output, but because of the times (just before the internet really took off info-wise) there just isn't that much available. And actually the article's references are now longer than the article! My main arguments for her deserving of a page of her own are that, as "Game On" is very famous, and has a place on Wikipedia, she deserves to be on it too, as the co-writer (and the sole writer for the 3rd series!) After all, you couldn't have just a page on Jagger without one about Richards, or Ant without Dec, or Mitchell without Webb, or, er, Rod Hull without Emu! :-) So, she is significant as being responsible for something significant! Please let me know what you think. Yours, PaukiPKK (talk) 10:46, 19 March 2012 (UTC)PaukiPKK Hi Cerebellum, thanks for your response to my last response - I will go to my local library and see if they have anything paper-based that could become the missing link that I am after (the source that will tie it all together) - and after that - win or lose - I'll move it to 'live' and see if it gets marked for deletion, or, as sometimes happens, someone else adds some stuff to it that solidifies the argument! Thanks for your time and consideration. I may come back to you in the future about your offer of the editing (tho I'm feeling a little jaded at the moment, I must admit!), though not quite at the moment. 212.95.227.74 (talk) 13:10, 20 March 2012 (UTC)PaukiPKK
Review of Article
Hi Cerebellum, Thank you for your review of the proposed Adam Joinson article and thank you for your comments. It appears that the notability is an issue. I'm new to wikipedia and i'm unsure as to what this actually means. I've read the notability guidelines wikipedia have produced however, i'm still uncertain as to the types of sources that are needed. If you could suggest any types of sources that would help with this issue, they would be very appriciated. Thanks SarahAStewart (talk) 12:47, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi! It's Lerysik. You didn't accept my article and suggested:
- "Please cite your sources using footnotes. For instructions on how to do this, please see Referencing for beginners. Thank you."
But my resources look like that because the other user advised me doing this:
- "Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Eckstein, Karl
My article hasn't been accepted again((( I've got the answer that only one of the resources (#2) is independent. But I can't understand why the other sources don't meet the requirements..Please, could you explain it? To my mind they are all independent (of course, I can't think the other way)) There is nothing written by the subject, paid for by the subject. Not his website, and not a press release. And another question: If I leave only one resource (#2), will it be enough? Please, help me.. I'm so exhausted... Maybe you could show me the right example concerning Karl Eckstein?)))) Thanks in advance)) Lerysik (talk) 06:11, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
- I can see what happened. The reviewing editor had a quick look at the list of sources, saw most of them seemed to be from the Consulate website and declined your article on that basis. However, the links are actually to reproductions of news coverage in various independent publications. I've expanded one of them to explain the source (article title, publication, date, page). Maybe if you could do the same for the other similar sources it may convince a reviewer that the sources are independent (and in-depth?). Sionk (talk) 13:07, 12 March 2012 (UTC)"
So what should I do? I'm very tired of so different opinions((( Please, HELP!Lerysik (talk) 06:51, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Once upon a time, we didn't have the article wizard to handle submissions, so we just threw down some directions on the main AFC page to help the submitters. And those directions were of course removed when the wizard was created, but apparently not the request to follow them. I guess we were so used to having that sentence there it didn't occur to us how out of place it was, and reviewers rarely if ever visited that page anyway. But still, I mean, wow. It's been years since that sentence made any sense. Thanks for noticing and removing it. Someguy1221 (talk) 07:56, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- Ha, I actually think that page is very well done and much less confusing for new users than a lot of our other pages. Glad I could help streamline it though ;) --Cerebellum (talk) 12:30, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
