Recently you tagged this school symbol as a "Photo of a copyright protected work." I have found a more appropriate tag for the image, since it is a photo of a School symbol. I have placed this tags *Non-free symbol and a Non-free media use rationale on the page for the School Symbol in question. -- Avazina, (Talk to me) 23:50, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, and good job finding the source of the images. Eeekster (talk) 04:10, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You tagged File:Puerto de A Coruña.jpg as it was a copyvio, but it is protected under CC~2.0 which clearly allows this. Please explain. DreamFieldArtsTalk 02:01, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I tagged it because I actually went and looked at the license and your claim of CC is in error. Eeekster (talk) 02:25, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
no it is not. DreamFieldArtsTalk 02:29, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just looked again and it still shows the license to not be compatible with Wikipedia. Eeekster (talk) 02:50, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it should be on commons. DreamFieldArtsTalk 02:53, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, it cannot be on commons. Read the license at the source. Eeekster (talk) 02:53, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

8-stage_single-acting_air_cylinder,_Ergo-Help.jpg‎

Eeekster, I uploaded a CC licensed version of the file, as Wiki was battling with me about the original file having non-commons file status. And...my newly uploaded file is now up for speedy deletion??? What's the deal, I thought uploading a free-use file is what Wiki does want? George Vasell (talk) 19:08, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's the company's file and previously published. Eeekster (talk) 19:10, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Eekster, I'm confused by what you want, exactly. This is my pic, I took it, and posted it on my own website. Being that it was there first, I initially uploaded it to Wiki under copyright. That raised red flags here. So, here I am, re-uploading it under free licensing. Isn't that what you were asking for all along? George Vasell (talk) 19:24, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your website? Looks like a corporation's website to me. If it is yours, then I see a conflict of interest problem. Eeekster (talk) 19:26, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What conflict of interest? The page is about telescoping cylinders, and only had a discussion about hydraulic ones until I came along, adding content about pneumatic telescoping cylinders. Isn't that what Wikipedia is all about, the sharing of information? Again, you asked for a free-share pic of the cylinder, and here I am with a free-share pic.
