Joram Jaron van Klaveren (born January 23, 1979 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch politician and former educator. As a member of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid) he has been an MP from June 17, 2010 until March 21, 2014. He currently holds this position on is own account after leaving the Party for Freedom. He focuses on matters of desegregation, employment-to-population ratio, egalitarianism and emancipation. Since March 24, 2011 he has also been a member of the States-Provincial of Flevoland. On March 21, 2014 Van Klaveren announced that he will no longer be part of the Party for Freedom, as he did no longer agree with the party's course. The controversial comments on the Moroccan minority in The Netherlands by party leader Geert Wilders after the 2014 council elections also played part in his decision. Van Klaveren will continue as MP on his own account. [1]

From March 2006 to June 2009 he was a member of the municipal council of Almere on behalf of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie).

Van Klaveren studied religious studies at VU University Amsterdam.
