Sherlock storyline?

"Most of it is about Holmes' attempts to gain membership of a high-class brothel. Watson is disinterested having become sexually impotent in the opening scenes of the show."

Is there any basis for this statement? No such information is given in the press release to which there is a link. Gildir (talk) 19:41, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Posters or DVD covers for films need to be removed

These images normally exist on Wikipedia under a fair use rationale, any use of such images in this article require a specific fair use rationale to be created, which in my opinion would not be valid for this BLP as the images are not central to the article and Freeman already has suitable illustrative photographs. See Non-free content criteria for the policy that applies. (talk) 14:04, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kittens

Martin Freeman is probably not made out of Kittens, and unless you can find reliable sources to state that he is, stop adding it to the article! --Τασουλα (Shalom!) (talk) 13:00, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Personal Life

Is all that information required? No one really needs to know that he is 'left handed', nor the details of what battles his grandfather fought in. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.67.127.233 (talk) 16:07, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the bit about him being left-handed. About his grandfather, well, it's relevant to a TV show he appeared in so maybe it's OK? *Shrugs* Also, added standard Fact tags. --Τασουλα (Shalom!) (talk) 03:31, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

Martin Freeman won the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama series for his role in Sherlock on the 22/05/2011. Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.40.40.129 (talk) 20:17, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Martin Freeman went to the Salesian College in Farnborough NOT in Chertsey — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.24.214.165 (talk) 01:35, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Outdated "Career" section

I think this section is outdated. It mentions some roles that are of interest but that Martin is hardly well known for (e.g. his role in Hardware, his cameo in Hot Fuzz). I think more recent, popular films should be included in lieu of these, such as Nightwatching and Wild Target. --Northerlywind (talk) 00:15, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Name

Please, what is his third name?i really want to know that — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.176.159.95 (talk) 14:22, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's probably just "C." on its own. The "S" in president Harry S Truman's name was just...S...--Nutthida (talk) 17:24, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request

Can somebody please add The World's End to Mr. Freeman's filmography please? Link for citation: http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=35334

Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samuelrichardscott (talkcontribs) 16:33, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request

It says in the table near the bottom that he's appeared in 7 episodes of Sherlock. There are currently only 6 episodes of Sherlock. Can someone verify this? Did the person who wrote "7" take the unaired, rough draft of the pilot into count as well? 117.227.8.34 (talk) 13:02, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Height??

Can someone who can edit this page please check his height. I'm fairly certain that "short" is not an encyclapedic entry (i probably spelt enctclapedic wrong, sorry) Meeeeeeee39 (talk) 13:48, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request: Personal Life

To the list of shows that Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington have acted in together, I was going to add series 3 of Sherlock - apparently I can't as it's 'semi-protected' but could I suggest that someone does? Beckalina (talk) 12:18, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that the Filmography doesn't contain both movies : Sherlock Holmes I and Sherlock Holmes II I think people in charge of this should reconcider this. 41.143.22.10 (talk) 15:05, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sherlock Holmes (2009 film) & Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows? Nope, wasn't in em. no Declined --Somchai Sun (talk) 15:24, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image in infobox

An image of a character is being used instead of the actor himself? Not allowed? Benedict Cumberbatch article does not use a picture of Sherlock to represent him. A hobbit next!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.125.27.14 (talk) 21:01, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done These are the only pictures of Freeman we currently have. If you own the copyright to a better picture, please upload it to Wikimedia Commons and we would be pleased to use it. Although there are hundreds of pictures of Freeman on the internet, these are all copyright, so we cannot use them. Arjayay (talk) 18:11, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

can we Change the picture please? http://www.promicabana.de/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Martin-Freeman-Der-Hobbit-Europapremiere-London.jpg

Not necessarily. We need some more information on who took the picture and what kind of license it is under. —C.Fred (talk) 21:58, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can we replace the image with this one http://www.imdb.com/oscars/galleries/2013-baftas-pressroom-photos-rm3686834944 All information about the picture is underneath it if you visit the link — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlottecrane (talkcontribs) 22:14, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article mentions Martin Freeman has appeared in 20 episodes of the TV series Fargo. The correct number is actually 10 and thus, this should be edited accordingly.

Jsalins (talk) 05:23, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Done Yup, only 10 episodes aired so far. Thanks. -- Sam Sing! 10:42, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
