La Salle College Preparatory is a private, Roman Catholic college preparatory high school in Pasadena, California. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

La Salle College Preparatory, founded in 1956, is a Lasallian school accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Western Catholic Education Association.[2]

It was established as an all boys' school but became coeducational in 1990.[3]

Academics

Approximately 200 students take the AP exams each year, with a 78% pass rate on average.

Other academic highlights include the Academic Decathlon, Leadership for Student Life, Independent Study, Scholar's Thesis and the Teacher Assistant Program.

Beyond the academic school year, students are expected to complete summer reading in the four areas of English, science, social studies, and visual & performing arts.

Athletics

La Salle offers 57 athletic teams. Within each sport, there are at least two levels of competition: junior varsity and varsity. The junior varsity team focuses on skill development, motivation, teamwork, and positive attitude. Lancer athletics have won 19 CIF Championships. More than 15 graduates have returned to coach athletic teams at La Salle. Sports include:
