00:39:19, 5 June 2019 review of submission by Chatzos

Chatzos (talk) 00:39, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

trying to post an article about the formation, mission and locations of an existing Jewish organization. The name is Chatzos, or Kollel Chatzos

We are not familiar with how to post on Wikipedia and how to place sources in the article, and it's rejecting us for that reason. It's quite confusing the process.

Any help would be appreciated.

Chatzos Greetings. Your article - User:Chatzos/sandbox - was rejected there are no sources to supported the content claimed. Pls note for a page to be merit a page in Wikipedia main space (1) the subject needs to be notable. (2) the content need to have multiple coverage by (3) independent, (4) reliable sources, whereby the sources (6) talk about the subject in length and in dept. (7) the content needs to be free of copyright infringement (write in your own words and (8) free of WP:PROMOTION. Lastly, the article needs to write in neutral point of view. Pls read the comment on made by the review of proper attribution on the article and also the comment on the grey panel. Pls read WP:Your First Article and WP:GOLDENRULE to understand what are needed to write an article besides what comment given above and referencing for inline citation. I could suggest you to change you username as it is the same as the subject (an organisation) which conflict with Wikipedia WP:Username policy. Thank you. Hello, I want to understand the reason behind deleting my article on Priyadarshi Ranjan JunoSanghera (talk) 08:14, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

JunoSanghera Good day. You draft article content violated copyright infringement - see HERE. You need to write the article in your own words and not copy and paste the content from other articles. Wikipedia takes copyright infringement violation very seriously as it entails legal implication. Pls also read WP:Your First Article and WP:GOLDENRULE to understand how to write an article in Wikipedia. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:43, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

15:44:40, 5 June 2019 review of submission by E-Stylus

Is it within WP:COI guidelines for an editor with a COI to move a draft into main space after addressing the decline reason submitted by the reviewing editor? I worked on improving the tone of the above draft, however the content refers to independent, reliable, published sources to meet verifiability guidelines and establish notability. I asked for a re-review from the reviewing editor and the AfC help desk, but received no response. Thanks. E-Stylus (talk) 15:44, 5 June 2019 (UTC) E-Stylus (talk) 15:44, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi E-Stylus. No. A paid editor is very strongly discouraged from moving their drafts to article space. It should be left up to a reviewer who does not have a conflict of interest to evaluate whether previously identified problems have been adequately addressed, and assess whether there are other problems. Drafts are often reviewed by a different reviewer each time they are submitted. Resubmitting the draft for review is the correct way to get it examined. Neither reviewers of earlier versions nor this help desk are shortcuts around the AfC reviewing process, which currently has a 15-week backlog. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:48, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info Worldbruce. E-Stylus (talk) 16:54, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Worldbruce - I was unaware that the "very strongly discouraged" verbiage meant "prohibited". If this is the guideline, I will comply going forward. The draft's declining editor, Theroadislong has moved the article back to draft space. The draft was submitted 3/14/19, declined 5/29/19 and re-submitted from 5/30/19 to 6/7/19. If an additional period of up to 15 weeks is the only option for a re-review, I will wait. Thanks. E-Stylus (talk) 18:36, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

17:36:42, 5 June 2019 review of draft by Nateperreault

Hello, I would just like to know if there is anything else (excluding the addition of references) that I could add to help get the page published. There are 3 other pages for teams (Essa Stallions, Grey Highlans Hawks, and Seaforth Generals) in the CPJHL and I believe the Muskoka Anglers pages is not drastically different.

Nateperreault (talk) 17:36, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nateperreault. References are key to demonstrating notability (suitability for inclusion). The existence of an article does not mean it meets Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or that it is welcome. It may only mean that no one has gotten around to deleting it yet. It is not a good excuse to create similar articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. If you wish to learn from example articles, be sure to use only Wikipedia's best. --Worldbruce (talk) 01:03, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

23:11:41, 5 June 2019 review of draft by Mandii.c

Hi, I created a draft at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Cremation_in_Japan, but I decided to work on the article in my sandbox. The article in my sandbox was declined because the draft page of the same name exists. Kevinbade (talk) 04:19, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I need help! I am working on a page for Ken Davis Music the company (and artist's music). It is not finished yet. I have been engaged by Ken Davis to do this for him. I have known Ken since his early live performances in Sydney in the 1980s. 1) I am wondering how to remove the Conflict Message and 2) why Ken Davis Music is considered not notable enough for WikiPedia. Ken Davis Music has been with us for over thirty years and Kev Davis compositions have been sold on tapes and CDs around the world and now Ken Davis Music can be streamed on Spotify and Google Music. Ken is an Australian pioneer electronic music. Thanks.

06:55:55, 6 June 2019 review of draft by Meneer

This draft has been reviewed a few times, long ago and since I revised it quite a lot, restructuring, comparing with pages of competing companies, adding references, removing potentially commercial text. What's needed to get it reviewed again?

Meneer (talk) 06:55, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Meneer. Patience is needed. The draft has been in the pool to be reviewed again since 14 March. The current backlog is 15 weeks, so it is likely to be examined around the end of the month. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:35, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

09:44:50, 6 June 2019 review of submission by Geoff Hill 123

Draft:Global Knowledge MfD for deletion of draft

This has now been rejected several times, but I see little difference between it and entries such as this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Horizons_Computer_Learning_Centers Geoff Hill 123 (talk) 09:44, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Geoff Hill 123: - that draft was deleted for extensive advertorial puffery. The presence (or absence) of another article on Wikipedia can't be used to support (or reject) any draft or prospect. It might be that the New Horizons article should be deleted. For a good explanation on why this is the case, have a read of WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Nosebagbear (talk) 12:10, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

13:39:28, 6 June 2019 review of draft by Leelaamayi

I have created a page on Dr Hema sane, which is already published in Marathi language (please refer to https://mr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/हेमा_साने). It's about a great personality who is an academician, Nature lover, Author of various international papers in botany. Most special part about her is she has been living without using electricity for the last 60 years(Please refer to the news articles in draft page). With huge respect, I tried to create a page on such a wonder woman. Wikipedia has many pages about celebrities, but having a page about a silent revolution like her can change many hearts. I submitted the draft page for review three weeks ago. I request assistance for speeding up this review process and suggest any changes if required. World have to learn a lot from her. !!

15:22:03, 6 June 2019 review of submission by Jrpmd1221

Thank you for your assistance! I have been trying to get a page published on a Maryland County Executive, the rules of notability have been explained to me which I believe I have an understanding of. He has not held state office so he does not qualify for automatically having a page, so someone who creates a page for him must prove he is notable outside of Anne Arundel County and Maryland. My confusion comes with the fact that other Maryland County Executives who have also not held state office have pages. Marc Elrich and Angela Alsobrooks hold the equivalent level of office as Steuart Pittman, and the sources provided in their pages are sources from their respective counties and the State of Maryland, which I have been told would not qualify to meet the notability standards. I understand if he does not meet the standards, but I don't understand how people of similar notability and qualification have pages unless the standards are not being applied universally. If there is any clarification you can provide or advice to enhance the page I've created in order for it to meet the requirements I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Jrpmd1221 (talk) 15:22, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jrpmd1221. Marc Elrich has been nominated for deletion twice. The first time, it was deleted. The second time, it was kept largely because of considerable coverage in The Washington Post and on WTOP. Another factor for some participants in the discussion was the population of Montgomery County, about a million (roughly twice that of Anne Arundel County).
Angela Alsobrooks has not gone through any formal assessment. If it did, it might be kept because she is the first woman elected to the office, or for reasons similar to those that arose in the case of Elrich. Or it might be deleted. Don't confuse existence with "should exist", or use existence as an excuse to create similar articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:36, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your response Worldbruce! That information is helpful. Do you know if there is a definition of "considerable coverage" for Wikipedia? The Anne Arundel County Executive has had a lot of his policies covered in The Washington Post and WTOP as well, but my understanding was that I should show a variety of sources, not cite consistent coverage from these sources. Any advice there? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jrpmd1221 (talkcontribs) 15:49, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

17:28:00, 6 June 2019 review of draft by Earth0001

Hello! Please tell me what I need to add to the article? Thank you.

Earth0001 (talk) 17:28, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Earth0001[reply]

Hi Earth0001. The draft is in the pool to be reviewed. With the current backlog, you can expect that to happen within the next four months or so. It's likely to be declined for the same reason that an earlier draft on the subject was declined. Novices are commonly advised to cite at least three independent, reliable, secondary sources containing significant coverage of the subject.
Časoměr is a start, but holocaust.cz does not help demonstrate notability because it is indiscriminate. It aims to document every victim within certain geographic and temporal bounds, including "the stories of quite normal people and families". Inclusion criteria vary among different language versions of Wikipedia. Not everyone meets the English Wikipedia's notability criteria (is a suitable subject for an encyclopedia article). If you want to write about the subject in English, you may wish to consider alternative outlets with different inclusion criteria. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:02, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Manstondrive1818. The short answer is that you haven't asked for it to be published. The draft you submitted in 2018 was declined. This year you started a new version, but have not submitted it for review. The draft doesn't look much like a normal Wikipedia article, so before you do anything else, you may want to revise it in accordance with Your first article and the Manual of Style. When you're ready, you can submit it by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft and saving it. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:48, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

18:49:25, 6 June 2019 review of draft by Lajmmoore

Hi! I'm trying to build a page for Leeds Discovery Centre because it is a fantastic museum storage facility in Yorkshire, is nationally well-known and is an important part of Leeds' cultural landscape. My first attempt was deleted and I think I've now made the declarations I need to? But I'm not sure. I wondered if someone could have a look at the start of this page and give some positive feedback. Is this the kind of suitable referencing and content that editors would be happy for me to build on? I guess, I'd just like a bit of guidance as I am very new to the whole wiki world. Thanks in advance!

Thank you @Nosebagbear - yes I was trying to edit my own (Draft) article and because I'm relatively new to Wiki, the reviewing script sounded like it might help me but perhap it's not what I thought I needed. Do I need to be granted some sort of permission or perhaps I should just not be using it? Gedgmoss (talk) 17:31, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gedgmoss. To get the attention of a specific editor, you need to use a notification template, as described in Help:Talk. Unlike some other systems, it doesn't work to simply preface their name with an @ sign.
The script is a tool that mechanizes some reviewing tasks, but it doesn't generate any feedback for you, all of that comes from the experienced Wikipedians using the script. Because it's easy for inexperienced users to make a big mess with the tool, access to it is restricted to editors with more than 500 edits in article space (you have 15).
At Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Reviewing instructions you can see the flowchart that reviewers follow when examining drafts. You can use it as a checklist to self-evaluate, thereby making sure the draft is as good as it can be before it reaches a reviewer.
You've made only sporadic edits over the years. If you would be interested in fixing problems in more articles if you knew where the problems were and what tools were available to help, I can point you in the right direction. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:10, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

23:44:58, 6 June 2019 review of submission by DanishAmericanClub

Hi,

I am a representative of a club for Danish expats based in Southern California. We try to make information available about Danes who have achieved a certain level of accomplishment in the U.S. or have been the object of attention here in other ways. We do not charge for this service and the work happens entirely on a volunteer basis (which also explains its irregularity). We uploaded the first draft of the page on Dr. Morten Bay last year under a different account, which now appears to be defunct. We understand that it was rejected because it was too much like a profile and not an encyclopedia entry. We did request a detailed bio from Dr. Bay as we do with all members we try to provide information about. The first draft reflected that and the information we found on Dr. Bay's Danish Wikipedia page.

We have now edited the draft to only focus on factual information about Dr. Bay's scholarly work. Please advise if there are any further steps we can take to make the entry compliant with Wikipedia's rules.

Thank you,

Peter Juul

16:12:54, 7 June 2019 review of draft by ElizabethPBallou

Hi! I wrote a first draft of this article, and it got rejected for not having enough notable sources/linking to the NYVGCC's website as a source. Since then, I've reworked the page to have higher-quality sources. I've also deleted any facts that couldn't be independently verified in a source other than the nonprofit's website.

My question now is: should I do anything else before I resubmit? Am I making other big mistakes that I don't know about?

Thanks so much for any help you can give!

22:43:04, 7 June 2019 review of submission by Littleeasy

Why is this topic not notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia when the publication has been studied by news research entities, such as the Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University and Nieman Lab, for academic purposes as well as covered by other media outlets such as WGNO-TV, Biz Orleans, and The Advocate New Orleans. Its inspiration, The Levee, is included in Wikipedia, and since it became defunct and many of its former writers and staff began contributing to Neutral Ground News, it has picked up the mantle and continues in its spirit. Littleeasy (talk) 22:43, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Littleeasy. The draft cites a story in which the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University makes passing mention of Neutral Ground News, but cites nothing that says they or the Nieman Foundation for Journalism has "studied" the publication. The cited coverage by WGNO and the Sun Herald is not significant coverage either. The only independent and reliable piece of substance is Biz New Orleans. The existence of The New Orleans Levee does not mean that it meets Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. It may only mean that no one has gotten around to deleting it yet. It is not a good excuse to create similar articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. If you wish to learn from example articles, be sure to use only Wikipedia's best, such as Seara (newspaper), The American Israelite, Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, Golos Truda, Nouvelles Extraordinaires de Divers Endroits, or Washington Blade. If you're interested in The Levee, you might do more good by improving that article before trying to start a new one. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:42, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I would like this page reviewed again as I think I've made the correct changes in line with Wikipedia's remit. The page refers to an international school of health research, and it comparable to other schools that are published on Wikipedia. The University of Sheffield has a page on the iSchool and The Management School, The School of Health and Related Research is also a university school, with international esteem and high impact in the field of health research. It started at the same time as the York Centre of Reviews and Dissemination - both inform NHS policy and deliver high impact research and teaching. ScHARR is a bigger department and publishes more high impact research. ScHARR also has notable ex staff and alumni.

15:00:45, 8 June 2019 review of submission by TroyMPGA

The reason given was contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia...I am a 20year PGA teaching pro that was trying to publish an informative article to educate people on the importance and vital part of golf instruction which is GOLF TRAINING AIDS. There is little no information on this on wiki. Golf training aids are as important to Golf as a golf club or any other piece of equipment because clubs, balls, putters are useless unless someone knows how to use them which brings me back to my first point which is golf instruction. I tried to write it as general as possible and wasn't selling any particular training aid but presenting facts that golf training aids can accelerate the golf learning process and the should be employed by all golfers...so please elaborate on why this article is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Thank you TroyMPGA (talk) 15:00, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi TroyMPGA. Wikipedia may not be used to advocate for, or "get the word out" about, anything. The draft is not an encyclopedia article summarizing what reliable secondary sources have written on the subject, but an opinion piece encouraging the use of golf training aids. So it is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. If you want to help build an encyclopedia, see Wikipedia:Community portal for ways to participate. --Worldbruce (talk) 02:03, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I humbly ask a re-review on this because I would like you to consider the hard work this 3 year old genius is doing. She’s very famous in Nigeria, the post popular Nigerian kid. I did provide an article to read. You can also google her name to see more. I also provided her Instagram page just so you see how huge her following / interaction is.

If there’s further information you need me to provide, please advise. I’m trying to give my daughter the recognition she deserves. Safaree started generating her own income from age 2. She’s loved by her fans.

Hi, I would just like advice on how this article should be improved. Also, do you think it's reasonable for Michael Jackson to have a "Cultural impact of Michael Jackson" article considering how popular he was and how much impact he had worldwide on music, music videos and dance? 8eatle (talk) 09:35, 9 June 2019 (UTC) 8eatle (talk) 09:35, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@8eatle: - unfortunately, as you can see at this top-level discussion, there have been various discussions on whether this exact topic was a legitimate page to have. After an initial no-consensus judgement, the RfC (our top-level discussion) opted for a weak consensus against having such a page. While this may change in the future, this discussion was held less than 3 months ago, so I don't think you'd succeed with it (even though my personal beliefs would be such a page would be beneficial). Nosebagbear (talk) 10:20, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Wouldn't you think it would be fair, considering Madonna has one eventhough statistically Michael Jackson is the biggest pop icon. 8eatle (talk) 11:31, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@8eatle: - "Fairness" isn't applicable here - it's whether the participants felt it benefited the encyclopedia. However whether it was a similar case to Madonna was actually considered, and most people felt that while there obviously was significant cultural impact, it could be included in his article. It's currently part of this section. If you have additional content it can be added there - it may eventually grow enough that a separate article is split off. It's a featured article under Extended protection, so suggested changes should be put on its talk page. Nosebagbear (talk) 19:43, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

LuckyhollywoodMahler (talk) 16:44, 9 June 2019 (UTC) why was this article turned down. 2 national awards were included verifing the info.[reply]

Hi LuckyhollywoodMahler. The sources cited are nominations; they don't prove he won. Anybody can nominate anyone, so the nominations don't help establish notability. I doubt if they would even be considered reliable sources for facts, only for the opinions of the nominators. You can probably find a reliable source, such as an issue of the magazine, to show that he won. But that won't advance the draft much. Neither the awards nor the awarding body (Wrestling USA Magazine) are well-known. Well-known would be something like a Nobel Prize, a Pulitzer Prize, or a Tony Award. Nor is it clear that the awards are significant. Does anyone report on them other than the magazine that gives them (and is also Mahler's employer)? Novice editors are commonly advised to cite at least three independent, reliable, secondary sources containing significant coverage of the topic. The draft has zero, and little chance of adding any. Finally, your choice of username suggests this may be an autobiography. They are strongly discouraged. Wikipedia is not a place to write about yourself. Doing so never ends well. --Worldbruce (talk) 02:31, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I want to cite a specific page (p. 41) in a downloadable (Japanese-language) PDF from a Japanese corporation (Moriya Corp.). The PDF is their notice to shareholders at their 57Th annual meeting in Heisei 23 (2011). The notice (PDF) on page 41 lists the biography of their external auditor - Tasuku Tsukada - the person whom this wikipedia article is about.

The press release can be found on this page: http://www.moriya-s.co.jp/publics/index/98/ It is the third from the bottom, dated 9 June 2011 (2011-06-09):「第57期定時株主総会召集ご通知」 ( 2011-06-09 ・ 522KB ). As noted above, the specific page I wish to cite is p.41.

How do I do that? In the article, I have cited it as:

|title=2011(平成23)年度プレスリリース [第57期定時株主総会召集ご通知 ( 2011-06-09) PDF] |url=http://www.moriya-s.co.jp/publics/index/98/ |website=Moriya 株式会社 守谷商会 |accessdate=8 June 2019

I wrote an article for a popular Seattle author who reps our queer community well, but you guy's keep rejecting it because you said it's her... but it's me. So, Why?

Hi Jeff Goodwin2. If you think it was declined becuase it's an autobiography, you are mistaken. It keeps getting declined because it's awful. It makes many of the mistakes commonly made with autobiographies, so whether it literally is one or not, I strongly recommend studying that guideline.
It's identical to User:Tiffany Desiree/sandbox, which raises all sorts of troubling questions about whether you are in compliance with Wikipedia's account policies, conflict of interst policies, and terms of use regarding paid editing. I've left more information about these issues on your talk page. Once you've dealt with them, you can return to the question of whether anything can be done to salvage the draft. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:46, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please explain to me how we need to restructure the verbiage, or how we can successfully create a page for this Cleveland Chef?

ClevelandDante (talk) 17:04, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ClevelandDante. Rejection of the draft is meant to be final, to convey that the subject is not notable (not suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia), so no amount of editing will make the topic acceptable.
Please clarify what you mean by "we". The policy on Wikipedia is "one user—one account". Usernames should not be shared by multiple individuals.
Skimming the draft, I see that it cites The Washington Post and The New York Times. That would usually be a good sign, but neither article verifies the statements where cited, or mentions Boccuzzi. This suggests that you may not understand the point of citing sources. The WPO piece is an independent, reliable, secondary source containing significant coverage of Troy Dupuy. Try to find three similarly high quality sources about Boccuzzi. If you can't, then the reviewer was correct, and the topic is hopeless. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:50, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 17:08:34, 10 June 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Sayeyabandeh2019

Hello, I am trying to create a Wiki page for someone who has asked me to set it up for them. The name of the page/person is "Saye Yabandeh" she is a reputable award-winning actress, global humanitarian and the Global Ambassador to the Global Citizens Foundation. I am trying to figure out the best way to have her biographical information and lists of awards/film/tv projects presented in a Wikipedia page.

I started by creating an account and submitting an article for creation. It was quickly denied saying that it was advertising materials or something of that sort, but the only information that was initially submitted was Saye Yabandeh's biography with listed resources.

If there is a different way that I need to go about having the page set up, please advise. Her requests have continued to be rejected and we can't seem to figure out how to get a page set up properly.

Sayeyabandeh2019 (talk) 17:08, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sayeyabandeh2019. Draft:Saye Yabandeh was created by ZA Saye, submitted by an IP editor in February 2015, and declined for failing to show notability. It was resurrected by Rose2gonow1 in 2018, when it was declined for failing to show notability and later for reading like an advertisement. Most recently, your version was speedily deleted for being unambiguous promotion. Even the existence of a page about her, if she doesn't qualify for inclusion, could be seen as promotional.
The reviewers and deleting admins have been different each time. Consensus seems to be that she is not a suitable topic for an encyclopedia article at this time. Searching Google books returns nothing relevant, and Google news return no independent, reliable, secondary sources deeper than a passing mention, so I'm inclined to agree. The best thing to do is not to try to write an encyclopedia article about someone who has asked you to do so. If her achievements are genuinely notable, or become so in the future, a neutral volunteer will undoubtedly create an article about her. --Worldbruce (talk) 00:25, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Pumpkinhead11 (talk) 19:05, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article that I submitted for review was declined because it doesn't seem like the subject is worthy of an encyclopedia entry, but the reason I'm trying to publish it is because he's about to announce his candidacy for Governor of New Hampshire. As he hasn't technically announced officially yet, there is no coverage on this, but we wanted to have the start of the article up so that through the soft announcements people can still find info on him.

Thank you.

@Pumpkinshead11: - politicians have very strict notability requirements. High levels of coverage aren't/wouldn't be sufficient - to demonstrate political notability he'd have to actually win the election. He may warrant an article through his book, if it's received multiple reliable reviews. Take a look at WP:NAUTHOR for details. Nosebagbear (talk) 19:45, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
An additional key note, is that as a biography of a living person, the references need to be inline, not general - that is, they need to support specific details (the little blue numbers) rather than just being a list of URLs at the end. referencing for beginners explains how. Please remember that you'll need multiple, reliable, in-depth & (critically) independent) review sources for the book. Nosebagbear (talk) 19:48, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dadamanda. The cited references are all from those organizing/coordinating/supporting the event. They are not independent of it; they have a vested interest in promoting it. Independent sources are required in order to demonstrate notability (suitability for inclusion in an encyclopedia), and the bulk of any article should come from independent sources. If you can add three independent, reliable, second sources that contain significant coverage of the event, you may resubmit the draft. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:31, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This is the first time I've created an article by myself. Although I have edited many articles before, including Russian article on crowdshipping Краудшиппинг I have trouble finalizing the English version for crowdshipping. Please help me with edits and source edits. Thanks. you.

Request on 13:49:28, 11 June 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Bunnies959

Hi, I have created a draft article for Serato DJ and was not accepted as it appears to "be a test edit", is there any way that I can change and improve this.

Bunnies959 (talk) 13:49, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bunnies959. User:Bunnies959/sandbox was declined as a test edit because it contains only a link. Draft:Serato DJ has not been declined, you have not submitted it for review. Add {{subst:submit}} to the top of it in order to ask for it to be considered for publication. When you save it, a large mustard yellow "Review waiting, please be patient" box will appear, probably at the bottom. The current backlog is approaching 16 weeks. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:19, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you I have done that now — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bunnies959 (talkcontribs) 00:06, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am creating a biography page on someone who is in the DWAA hall of fame and is on live television. I have provided many sources about him and the work he has done, yet it is not published. I need help with what specific kinds of sources I need to get it published.

I have revised the rejected page (Draft:Distillerie_Neisson) to address the objections of the reviewer and on the advice of other editors. First, the article was originally categorized as a product entry — this was an error, as it was written as a company entry. In addition, I have included additional significant coverage (with justification in Talk) and removed links to retailers (except for one, included because it's the only available reference for a particular fact; this is also addressed in Talk). On these grounds, I believe the article now meets Wikipedia standards.

Template:No pass - Swordswfriends - Advertisement for a non-notable product line. This won't go anywhere right now. Please review the red box at the top of your draft. Snowycats (talk) 20:32, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Been trying to create a page for a former football player and current coach named Ricardo Raúl Montoya from Costa Rica. He works in USL League Two for Daytona SC as an assistant coach (https://goaliesoccer.com/us-soccer/pro-soccer-has-moved-to-town-daytona-soccer-club/), have worked for Atlanta Silverbacks as assistant coach in USL Championship (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_Atlanta_Silverbacks_season), as scout for Atlanta United in Major League Soccer and as performance analyst of El Salvador national team (https://www.dirtysouthsoccer.com/2017/1/10/14205500/local-atlanta-coach-joins-el-salvador-national-team-staff).

Here are links of matches he played: http://wvw.nacion.com/ln_ee/1997/abril/07/carmelita.html http://wvw.nacion.com/ln_ee/1997/marzo/06/carmelita.html http://wvw.nacion.com/ln_ee/1997/abril/10/liga.html http://wvw.nacion.com/ln_ee/1998/febrero/19/deportes3.html

He's referred as Raúl Montoya on these links above. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andremartinsc (talkcontribs) 18:27, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Andremartinsc. Being assistant coach, scout, and performance analyst doesn't make him notable. If you can add a source that supports his having played in a competitive game between two teams from fully-professional leagues, that would demonstrate notability according to WP:NFOOTY. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:11, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You say my Porygon article needs to have "Independent notability" to be spun off? What does that mean? Porygon-Z (talk) 22:35, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
