Dota: Dragon's Blood is an American animated epic fantasy streaming television series created by Ashley Miller serving as executive producer.[1] It is based on Dota 2, a 2013 MOBA video game developed and published by Valve.[2] The production was co-produced by Studio Mir, Netflix Animation and Valve.[3] The series premiered on Netflix on March 25, 2021.[4] The show is presented in a style that combines anime with American cartoons.
Production
The series was announced by Netflix in February 2021.[1] It is a joint collaboration between Studio Mir, Netflix Animation, and Valve, the developers of Dota 2.[1]

Release
Dota: Dragon's Blood debuted on March 25, 2021 on Netflix.[1] A teaser trailer was released on February 19,[8] followed by a full trailer on March 1.[9] A promotional video, titled "Basshunter Dota Revival", was released on YouTube alongside the show's debut.[10] In it, Swedish musician Basshunter is singing "Vi sitter i Ventrilo och spelar DotA" while playing Dota 2, with scenes from Dragon's Blood shown in between.[11]
Reception
The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported an 63% approval rating, based on 8 reviews, with an average rating of 6.3/10[12]
