Protection request for this article about Japanese company with emphasis on Japanese references rather than Wall St.

There are glaring misrepresentations in several leading foreign "news" media which have tainted the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 126.3.11.147 (talk) 10:22, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

IPA

Can we make it clear to the reader that the /ˈniːsɑːn/ pronunciation is a regional one specific to North America? Currently it misleadingly suggests that it's the default/standard global pronunciation, since it's not marked as a regional variation, while the UK pronunciation /ˈnɪsæn/ has "UK" marked next to it. People outside of North America don't call it "knee saan"; for example, official 2019 Australian television advertisement for the Nissan Leaf, official 2002 Australian television advertisement for the Nissan X-Trail where /ˈnɪsən/ ("NI-ssuhn") is used. --benlisquareTCE 02:30, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Since this issue has been left unopposed for 3 months, I've WP:BOLDly modified the IPA within the lead paragraph as per above. --benlisquareTCE 10:03, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Picture should be made smaller

A picture under the 'Relationships with other car companies' sub-heading should be made smaller in my opinion due to the alignment of the text being affected by the current size of the image. In my opinion, this makes the article look unprofessional. Xboxsponge15 (talk) 14:44, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean the image of Nissan headquarters? I tried resizing the browser to many different sizes and I didn't see a problem with its placement.  Stepho  talk  11:46, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I do and I see. Thank you for trying. Xboxsponge15 (talk) 09:03, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kicks - plug-in hybrid

ALL-NEW NISSAN KICKS e-POWER DRIVING PERFORMANCE

It looks like Nissan is leveraging their "E-power" technology to offer a new plug-in hybrid as promised. Available in Thailand, not sure about other countries.

Hari Nada

I was reading an article in today's New York Times about a "high-ranking Nissan executive", Hari Nada, and came to Wikipedia to learn more about him. But there is no Wikipedia article named Hari Nada, nor any mention of him in this article on Nissan. Would it be appropriate to write something on this topic here, and do we know enough about Nada for an article about him?

Nissan's Hari Nada is not news, there has been information online about his role in getting Carlos Ghosn not only fired but jailed for two years now, for example here, making it surprising there is nothing about him in Wikipedia!

The difference between that two-year-old IndiaTimes article and today's New York Times article seems to be the count of the number of heads that had to roll at Nissan during those intervening two years.

It makes for fascinating reading! Vaughan Pratt (talk) 06:54, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As a top executive of one of the biggest car companies in the world and a principle player in a corruption investigation of that company, he is very notable.  Stepho  talk  00:03, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Source and year are wrong

Source for Production Output is from 2016, but year in wikipedia article says 2020 Thooury (talk) 09:39, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Correct production numbers for calendar year ending Dec 2020 are 3,629,672. See https://global.nissannews.com/en/releases/release-18e8181d3a7c563be5e62225a7050ce9-nissan-production-sales-exports-dec-2020  Stepho  talk  15:04, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
