Nomination of Roman Feral for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Roman Feral is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Roman Feral until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Chris Troutman (talk) 20:26, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Just to explain

Hi. I'm one of the many volunteers reviewing draft articles. The sculptor you wrote about looked like an edge case, for me. Although I personally don't think he passes our notability criteria I know other editors who would disagree. For that reason, I accepted your draft article so it's in Wikipedia now and I nominated it for deletion so that, rather than have your draft continue to wait because of my opinion, the article is live now and several other editors will be able to weigh-in and discuss the matter so the subject gets a fair shake. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:29, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi @Chris troutman:, thank you for reviewing the article and explaining the case to me. I appreciate and respect the feedback provided by the reviewing editors who participated in the deletion discussion. As a paid editor, I come across way too many people and companies who believe they are notable for a Wikipedia page and wouldn't listen to us when we tell them otherwise. I have found that if we decline their project from the get-go, then they end up with one of the UPE's anyhow. This way, by means of deletion discussions or draft rejections, we can show them that it is not only us, but the actual Wikipedia policies that they do not satisfy. BettytheBeth (talk) 18:52, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
This is why I had to quit editing for pay. There's too much demand on behalf of non-notable parties and I found it hard to say "no." For every Gabe Zichermann article I was able to write I ended up with a Len Forkas article that got deleted through no fault of mine. Thank you for being honest about your work here. Chris Troutman (talk) 00:02, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
