Thank you for improving articles in May! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:40, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Gerda Arendt, thank you for sharing kindness and flowers; and for bringing so much music into the lives of others. Netherzone (talk) 14:41, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
See my talk today, - it's rare that a person is pictured when a dream comes true, and that the picture is shown on the Main page on a meaningful day. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:34, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt, what an amazing human being Harnoncourt was - that he and his siblings saw the historical and architectural value in this unusual (and neglected, abandoned) chapel to transform it back into a jewel; leaving the original inscriptions, and restoring (not removing) the ornamental plaster work. And three sided, that is amazing, and of course symbolic I've never heard of that! 1+1+1=1 genius!
Like an alchemical transformation through Art-architeture-music.
It's a miracle the structure was not torn down when the highway beside it was built. The haunting trombone performance inside by Bertl Mütter. When I was listening, I kept thinking acoustics must be amazing because we are so used to interior sounds resonating in square or rectangular (and on occasion round) spaces. But in a triangular space the sound must bounce in a truly unique way. Thanks for sharing this with me and of course Wikipedia readers around the world. Netherzone (talk) 14:50, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for the Review Of Modern Mètis Woman

Netherzone,

Thank you again for all of your support and comments for improvement of the Draft Modern Mètis Woman. I used every bit of your expert advise. I appreciate your kindness, dedication and help. [[1]] Noapplause (talk) 15:13, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

From Genetic History of Indigenous Americans

Hey, I tried to talkpage these people but they ignored me. (To be fair, one told me about it and I used it after that. I did not even know it existed prior.) Anyways, just giving my two cents. If you need further citations please drop me a message. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:5CA:C302:43D0:7031:CDC9:2028:2669 (talkcontribs)

Please sign your messages using four tildes ~~~~ and maybe you will get a response. You have been edit warring with other editors rather than talking things out on talk pages (and not just on the Genetic History of NA article.) You have also been making personal attacks on other editors (not me thankfully) which is not permitted. See WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. If you become more familiar with our policies and behavioral guidelines you may have a more productive time here; you might also sign up for a registered account with a user name. If you have trouble figuring out how or where to find policies & guidelines, drop me a line and I can guide you to links. Netherzone (talk) 19:18, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
Oh I see you just were blocked. You may want to take the advise to be civil to heart. Netherzone (talk) 19:22, 26 May 2021 (UTC)

Suggestion

You once asked if I could turn this Interplay between UPE , Sockpuppetry & Advanced User Rights on my userpage into an essay, I’m willing to, but I’m not sure what the shortcourt/Redirect name should be, care to give any ideas? Celestina007 (talk) 22:07, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

Celestina007, I'm glad to hear you are considering the possibility of turning it into a formal essay. The first thing that came to mind was WP:CHEAT, but that is already taken, as is WP:PHONY. I find the shortcuts that are words not just letters are easier to remember.
These are not taken: WP:PAIDSOX, WP:PAIDSOCK, WP:FAKER, WP:PRETEND, WP:BALONEY, WP:CONNECTTHEDOTS, WP:IMPOSTER
I'll keep thinking on this. I really think the essay will be useful to alot of folks here. Will get back to you if I have other thoughts on the matter. Be well, Celestina! - Netherzone (talk) 23:03, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
Celestina007, I though of a couple other possible shortcuts: WP:PEST, WP:RASCAL. Also there is WP:PESAR (Paid editor sockpuppet [with] advanced rights), in Spanish one of the definitions of pesar is "regret", it sometimes also means "to influence".[2] - Netherzone (talk) 14:17, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
AHA! ”Pesar” “Connectthedots” I love the sound of those, I’m going with those. Thanks mate. Celestina007 (talk) 14:41, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

revert

Please tell me why you removed this. The unreliable tag mentioned was referring to MR Wue.

Gavin Munro

− Gavin Munro is a designer who grows chairs, lamps and sculpture with trees in his chair orchard located at Wirksworth, in Derbyshire, England. Mr Munro co-founded Full_Grown in 2005. Slowart (talk) 18:27, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Slowart, hi and thank you for reaching out with your your message. Could you please add a citation in a reliable source? If he's notable as an artist (not just his company) it should not be too hard for you to find. I did notice that he himself does not have a wikipedia article so the piped link gave me pause. I've been trying to keep several of our various lists of artists (by genre) tidy and try to remove anything that might be promo. Not that you have added that, but these lists tend to be magnets for that sort of thing. Netherzone (talk) 18:36, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Netherzone Thank you, I added one from CBS news, but my formatting looks wonky.. I'm think I'm rusty. Slowart (talk) 20:16, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Slowart, the CBS news source is good. I have fixed the citation formatting error. All is well. Thank you for your quick response. Netherzone (talk) 20:56, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Could you take look at this citation #30 in Tree Shaping. Appears to be hot link to a book advertisement.

Peter Cook & Becky Northey (2012). <a href="http://www.shapedtrees.com/">Knowledge to Grow Shaped Trees</a>. 1 (first ed.). Australia: SharBrin Publishing Ptd Ltd. ISBN 978-1-921571-54-1. Archived from the original on 11 November 2020. Retrieved 23 November 2020.

Slowart (talk) 22:34, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Slowart, You are right, it's advertorial spam. Feel free to remove it or if you rather I did, just let me know. Netherzone (talk) 23:29, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
I changed the formation of ref to plain book cite ref and remove archived url. That should correct the "advertisement/buy link" issue of the ref. Blackash (talk) 10:06, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
Blackash, thanks for doing that. It's a wonderful article. I will do a complete read-through later today for typos, imbedded external links, etc. Netherzone (talk) 14:19, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Slowart and Blackash I've started to do aome clean up, and removed two citations that went to a holiday resort hotel booking site. I also added a few maintenance tags for "citation needed". Question: do either of you know what this reference is: "chaika, Chaika (2013), Growing... furniture, Bulgarian" -- it is used several times. (currently ref #22). It needs to be filled out, but because the title and publication is not there, I'm at a loss as to how to improve it, beause I think it may be in Bulgarian, there is no URL and is not verifiable. Netherzone (talk) 14:56, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

I'm unable to find anything regarding "chaika, Chaika (2013), Growing... furniture, Bulgarian". Slowart (talk) 16:36, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
Slowart, nor could I. Even tried going to the Bulgarian Wikipedia to see if I could find the citation but it was not there at all. I am going to remove it, this may cause some temporary error messages, but will clean these up in subsequent edits. It can always be added back if another editor is able to find a verifiable citation. Netherzone (talk) 18:54, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Blackash I just noticed that you are one of the owners of the company, Pooktre. Therefore it seems you have a conflict of interest WP:COI with the article Tree shaping. In looking over the article I noticed that Pooktre is mentioned 10 times, Peter Cook of Pooktre is mentioned 8 times, and Becky of Pooktre is mentioned 12 times. That seems quite excessive to me, if not promotional. I will be sending a message to your talk page regarding our COI policy, please read it, it's especially important to abide by its recommendations since you may also have a financial stake in this. I'll be doing some trimming in the article to remove the promotional nature of some of the edits.

Slowart do you also have a COI to declare? Netherzone (talk) 19:35, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Yes I do. And I promise I won't be making any controversial edits. I'd like to point out that neutral point of view is missing in the methods section. The references appear to be circular. I believe that editor Blackash has been working with journalist to have stories written and then uses those articles as references to backup what they want the page to say. for example, these references have similar paragraphs in content and are designed apparently to support contentious text and are therefore unreliable IMO.

Slowart (talk) 00:54, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
Netherzone Pooktre is not a company but a name of mine and Peter Cook's artform. To date it would be classed as a hobby as we haven't bothered with selling any of our trees yet.
I do have some concerns with a few of your edits. A couple I'll change but the others we should discuss on the Tree Shaping talk page. I'll start a new section/s over there.
Thanks for message about COI on my talk page and I will address a comment to you there about it. Blackash (talk) 22:33, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
Blackash, since you have a COI you probably should not be editing the article but rather using the "edit request" feature. Netherzone (talk) 23:34, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
Slowart, Thanks I will have a look at those tomorrow. A heads up that I'm going to correct the indent in your message in my next edit. Netherzone (talk) 01:17, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

I will be moving this and the previous discussion to the article talk page. Please respond at that location. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 00:43, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

((u|Slowart}} Could you please move your most recent message to the Tree shaping article talk page? I don't think this discussion belongs on my user talk. I've moved everything else there except your June 10 message. I'd do it for you but I think it's better for the talk page history if you do it. I'll be archiving this discussion here shortly. Thanks in advance, Netherzone (talk) 01:24, 10 June 2021 (UTC) Pinging Slowart since my ping above had errors. Netherzone (talk) 01:25, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

I created two new sections over at Tree Shaping Talk. Blackash (talk) 01:35, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
Blackash, please refrain from posting on my talk page. The discussion has been moved to the article talk. Please copy your message there. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 01:36, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
I only posted my last comment here to give you a heads up. Thought you would appreciate it. Blackash (talk) 02:04, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello Phfilm08, and thank you for your message. I'm sorry you are disappointed, but please understand that the encyclopedia can't include every bit of trivia on every subject. The text you keep adding is unsourced, and has been unsourced for ten years. Our policy states: "All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a verifiable reliable source that directly supports the contribution." The policy goes on to state: "Any material lacking an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the material may be removed and should not be restored without an inline citation to a reliable source." The content you keep adding is for a non-notable student film by a non-notable filmmaker (by WP criteria for notability). There is no indication that the film, nor the filmmaker, is in the permanent collection of MoMA:[3],[4]. Please understand that it's inappropriate to use the encyclopedia for promotion or advertising. I hope that helps explain the reasons for the revert. Best regards, Netherzone (talk) 20:34, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
Phfilm08 I did a little more research, and the first insertion was in May 2015, not "10 years ago", made by an anonymous IP editor from a range in Rhode Island. That edit was promotional, unsourced, and broke the article formatting. Interestingly, the more recent IP that added back your edits were from the same RI range. It seems that you (the logged in account) is not here to build an encyclopedia because all of your edits indicate that you are only here to promote Paul Hornstein and his films. Please note that I will moving this discussion to your user page. If you respond, please respond there rather than on my talk page. Please disclose if you have a connection to the film or to the filmmaker Paul Hornstein. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 22:17, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Get your eyes checked! look at other facts online other then yours !!!

Your not being fair. It’s been published since your website started. You are mocking what your website is trying to do. I hope you reconsider and

    • stop with all the insults. **

Muslim roma in Greece

Hello, so as I understand you claim the Muslim roma in greece didnt speak turkish ?

But why they speak than turkish? and many of them declaered themself as Turks?

And oh yes, they are many reliable sources in I-net. But i thought ALL People who have a little bit knlowledge of roma people know that...but i see they didnt.

see the artilce Horahane Roma, than you know it.

Nalanidil (talk) 14:51, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Nalanidil, hello, and thank you for reaching out, I'm going to move this message to the article talk page. You are incorrect about what I "claim", as my edit summary clearly stated, This may be true, but it is not what the citations say. If added back citations need to be added that support this content. Because wikipedia is an encyclopedia, the content needs to be cited with a reference in a verifiable reliable source. You added the content before the sources that already were existent in the article, but those existent sources did not back up what you added. As I wrote in the edit summary, you can add it back if you also need to add citations to back up the changes. I will now move this discussion to article talk. Netherzone (talk) 15:52, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Muslim Roma at the Balkans

Everything I've written is factual. You have reversed everything that i have corrected. I don't need any sources from Gadjo (Not Roma). So you claim that there are no Muslim Roma in Albania, Kosovo, Bulgaria, etc? So you claim that no Balkan Romani language is spoken there? So i may ask you which religion they have or which language they spoken ?

You claim that Crimean male Muslim Tatars are not circumcised? Do you need to source this? this is a general education.

We Roma know our differences between groups and religions, we don't need sources written by Gadjos, who explain us who we are, we know who we are and also we know the difference about us.

--Nalanidil (talk) 18:07, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

Nalanidil, You are misunderstanding the issues that several editors have warned you about. I am not saying that you are wrong, it is that you are not following the guidelines for how to edit the encyclopedia. You keep adding or removing content that you disagree with without providing a reliable source WP:RS for those changes. Please learn how to add citations WP:CITE WP:CS. Also, please do not change statistics or important content in the lead sections without first obtaining consenus on the talk page. WP:CONSENSUS. If what you added is factual as you state in your message, add an inline citation to back it up, otherwise it is simply an opinion. There are tutorials you can take to learn how to edit properly, and you can also reach out to the Tea House WP:TEAHOUSE for help with sourcing content. Hope this helps you to understand why you keep receiving warnings; there is a lot to learn about editing WP, perhaps you should slow down a bit? Netherzone (talk) 18:19, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

Balkan Egyptians and the term “jevg”

The term Jevg is a derogatory one referring to Balkan Egyptians not romani people, therefore I see it as correct to delete those phrases mentioning them as Roma. Both communities differentiate between each other. Moreover there are historical data referring to B.Egyptian arrival and history in the Balkans. Thank you Udhakjx (talk) 02:36, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

Udhakjx, No worries, I understand why you removed it. Netherzone (talk) 02:38, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

Muslim Romani people

YOU HAVE NO KNLOWLEGE ABOUT MUSLIM ROMA PEOPLE SO WHY YOU CHANGEND WITHOUT KNLOWLEDGE THE PAGE???

What you think to know is only from one group, the romanian vlax roma. But what xoraxane roma are, and their culture and way of life, does not seem to interest you, you throw all different groups of roma, no matter which religion and from which country in one pot. if you have no general knowledge do you need to source, which sources? written by some self-proclaimed historian?

Nalanidil (talk) 00:12, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

Nalanidil, I see you have been partially blocked. I, as well as the other editors who have warned you can see that you can bring a useful perspective to the project; we appreciate your efforts. However you must follow the wikipedia guidelines and policies when adding material to the encyclopedia. That is just the way Wikipedia works; these are guidelines and policies that have been developed over a period of years through consensus. I hope that you find the time to read the links that I added to the first ANI, as I really think they will make your time here less frustrating for you. Please follow the advise of the editors and blocking administrator and add citations to reliable sources to your contributions about Romani. That is all I ever said to you - to source the content you add - so kindly please refrain from making accusations and assumptions. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 13:28, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

What a mess?

Why are you deleting the article about Mubarak Al Kabir Tower? There is a project for this tower, construction will begin in 2023, what are the problems? Your actions can simply be regarded as VANDALISM. Immediately removed the nomination for deletion and the template from the page. Moreover, this tower was on the page of values, which means this page can be created. Redaktor me (talk) 20:37, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

Hello Redaktor me, you can read the rationalle for the nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mubarak al-Kabir Tower. You are also at liberty to participate in the discussion there rather than posting here. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 20:54, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

Hidden

Per conversion with the creator of the NPR perm @Kudpung, I have archived this for BEANS reasons whilst I figure out what I’d do with it. In hindsight I can see how this which is supposed to show UPE editors how useless the act & easy to catch it is cab still be circumnavigated and be used for nefarious reasons for UPE editors with very high IQ. I believe WP:CONNECTTHEDOTS is sufficient at the moment. Celestina007 (talk) 20:29, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Got it. I agree that some could circumnavigate. You are wise, Celestina. Netherzone (talk) 20:35, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
