Aussie V8s

Quite ambiguous. This term can be used to refer to any Australian-built V8 powered car eg [1], not particularly (or even at all) to the V8 Supercars (as it used to be known). I don't think a retarget to any particular car, or to Automotive industry in Australia would be suitable either so I think best to delete. A7V2 (talk) 07:46, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No contest from me. I just always thought "Aussie V8s" meant V8 Supercars (Supercars Championship#V8 Supercars). Mac Dreamstate (talk) 21:41, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

British invasion

Ambiguous when uncapitalised, can just as commonly refer to British military invasions. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 18:00, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Myall Creek

Suggest to disambiguate or move Myall Creek, New South Wales here or redirect to Myall Creek, New South Wales. The 2014 RFD seemed correct to target the massacre but since then an article about the town has been created. The town article can probbaly serve as a WP:DABCONCEPT in respect to the massacre as its linked prominently. Given Dalby, Queensland and the streams in Queensland it may be better to disambiguate, see ceb:Myall Creek if the streams are notable. There are links at Quinalow, Barnard River and Queensland Women's Historical Association for the stream(s). Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:47, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yugoslavia-redirects

All this redirects target different articles, I think that they should lead into one page. Heanor (talk) 17:06, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • SFRY is the common meaning, it's just a question of where to describe Yugosphere. Honestly I'm not sure if it should even exist, because all we really have about it is that it's a novelty neologism, that part is barely referenced (tagged as problematic since 2012!), and everything else is OR editorializing and conflation of Yugonostalgia and a description of Serbo-Croatian (which leaves unanswered the question of how Slovenia and Macedonia fit in going forward). All the incoming links to it seem to be pipe links or duplication or in one case an error (that I just removed). --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:28, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Marquesote

Not mentioned at the target, esWiki has separate articles for Marquesote and Sponge cake. Deletion to encourage article creation seems the way to go here. signed, Rosguill talk 16:33, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ugandan Canadians

No mention of Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya or Rwanda at the target, delete unless duly sourced content can be added. signed, Rosguill talk 16:19, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Civil court

Civil courts do much more than hear lawsuits. I recall that when I changed my name there were something like 30 options on the form, and only 2 or 3 involved lawsuits. An article that explains that fairly well, if too briefly, is Civil law (common law). I think it would be better to retarget there. The other concern with this redirect is that it could be ambiguous with a court operating under Civil law (legal system), but the proposed target links to the DAB Civil law, so I think that handles that. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 11:16, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think someone would type this in to get to the redirect target. – AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 13:35, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I’m pretty sure the joke is routine coverage is the opposite of the unusual events covered in Man bites dog articles therefore it would be like the more common occurrence of dogs biting people.--65.93.195.118 (talk) 01:28, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Australian Domestic Market

I see three main issues with this redirect. Firstly, the term (in reference to cars) appears to be totally made up, trying to be some equivalent to Japanese domestic market. I can find no useage in reliable sources but this [2] seems to suggest it is not really a term that is used. Secondly, even if the term is used by reliable sources, it would be about the automobiles specifically made in and for the local market, whereas the target is about automobile manufacturing in Australia both for domestic sale and export. Finally, the term is clearly quite ambigous, and could refer to just about anything. I do note that it is linked to in two articles, Chrysler Hemi-6 Engine and Volvo Redblock Engine, both piped, and in my opinion both should be removed (and I will shortly do so). General Motors 50th Anniversary Show

This was originally an article, redirected in Feb 2013 by Chriq with an edit summary implying a merge took place with General Motors though looking in the edit history from around then I can's see any sign of this. Not mentioned at target now in any case and I think it very unlikely that any is justified. Delete unless others feel it is worth restoring the article and presumably sending to AFD. Theta angle

Use of theta to refer to an angle occurs in so many contexts, the current target seems far too specific. I suggest this be retargeted, but am unsure what would be the best target. Note that this is the result of a very old move from 2005. Mdewman6 (talk) 01:41, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Scuderia Sant'Ambroeus

Appears to only serve the purpose of being a misleading bluelink, eg it's the only bluelink on List of Formula One constructors#Privateer teams to redirect back to the same article, and also appears in Scuderia and a hatnote at Scuderia Ambrosiana amongst other places. Readers aren't served by being taken to the list article which contains next to no information about the team, and if notable a redlink would encourage article creation, so I think delete. Cornis

Not mentioned at target (this is primarily since while such a manufacturer probably existed (possibly just as a rebranded Kurtis Kraft), it was not a Formula One car as the Indy 500 was not a Formula One race while it counted to the championship from 1950-60). The only mentions I can find are at List of Formula One fatalities and Bob Cortner though I would struggle to call these even mentions, so I don't think either would be a suitable target unless Bob Cortner could be expanded to include some information about the cars. I also see online that this may be a plausible misspelling of "cornice" but I think deletion would be best. A7V2 (talk) 06:38, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rhyolite Park

While there is some evidence this was once a name for an area in what is now the national monument (see 1), it does not seem to be a name in current use. The only mention on WP is in a reference in the article, which is currently a dead link. The NPS site does not use this term to refer to anything, and a google search primarily comes up with Rhyolite Regional Park in Colorado (not on WP either). More broadly, as a search term, there are lots of parks that feature Rhyolite. I recommend deletion to avoid confusion. Mdewman6 (talk) 19:37, 1 February 2022 (UTC).[reply]

  • Comment I searched up Rhyolite Park, and the only thing that it mentions is a children's playground and a park called Rhyolite Regional Park in Castle Rock, Colorado. I am saying comment because I am not sure if it should be deleted. Wait, should it be? StaleGuy22 (talk) 20:45, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Theta vacuum

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was procedural close. Wrong venue. Nom has filed at WP:RM/TR. (non-admin closure) -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 08:17, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm proposing deleting this redirect so as to be able to then rename the article as "Theta vacuum" since that is the main relevant topic. "Vacuum angle" is a much less common name for what is being described as it is merely the parameter that indexes the various theta vacua. Most common textbooks and papers usually refer to the theta vacuum rather than vacuum angle as well. OpenScience709 (talk) 00:47, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like vaccuum angle was boldly moved by the nom to theta vaccuum over the redirect, then immediately moved back by the same user for some reason. It can't be moved again due to the extra history at the redirect now that it has been listed here. Again, I think bringing to RM is appropriate at this point if a move is the objective.
