Totternhoe
Hi, I lived in Totternhoe from the age of three until I was 21 and my family was ther for another 5 years.
My first change to include reference to the Dukes Head is largely borne out by an entry on Bedfordshire CC's website although the pub closed much earlier than they cited. My other proposed changes were to improve general information which can be found on other pages but could be better expanded in the village's overview.
- Hi, Garrywbsol - Welcome to Wikipedia! The reason I reverted this edit was because violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view guidelines. I highly recommend that you read and understand the policy, as it will provide you with useful information and help make your future edits comply with the policy. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the neutral point of view policy. I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks, and happy editing! ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 13:22, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Removing talk page
Hi Oshwah,
I recently completely revamped the co-regulation wiki page, so the content on the talk page was no longer relevant to any of the content in the wiki page. I would definitely like to remove it, so should I just include this reason in the comments?
Thanks, Amanda
- Hi, Amanda.norona. You would just add the reason to the edit summary before saving your changes. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 20:52, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
Robert Glennen
I would like to inform you that I am Robert Glennen's granddaughter and I was told that he died earlier today. I would like this change to be made to his page. Thank you.
- Hi, Aglennen. Welcome to Wikipedia! Sorry, but your edit must be supported with a reliable source and cited in the article. Wikipedia has a policy against adding original research to articles. So, having "first hand knowledge" yourself or "knowing the person" yourself would be original research and is not allowed. This is especially true to biographies of living persons - any potentially controversial content about a living person that is unsourced is to be removed immediately and on-sight. If you locate a reliable source and cite it with your edit, then you'll be good to go. Otherwise, it cannot be added. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 23:47, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
You
Hi. I have posted an edit to The harry potter character "Hagrid"s page, and was dismayed to find the edit, which contain information perfectly relevant to the page, had been removed. Whats up? Im positive everything written was true, and had no reason to be deleted. If you could inform me as to why this happened, i would be delighted. Thanks! Have a nice evening.Sofionuschec (talk) 00:07, 2 December 2015 (UTC)sofionuschec
Islamophobia
It is standard practice to define "by whom" when you make claims like "The use of the term Islamophobia has been criticized"
Instead, you decided to give me a warning for merely stating the facts.

Hi,

User talk:50.204.10.131: (Level 2 warning re. Democracy Index (HG) (3.1.18))
Hi Oshwah, I had a message regarding a change to a page called Democracy Index, but I haven't made any edits to anything for quite some time, and I have a log-in. It looks like the warnings are escalating, and I don't want to get in any trouble. I'm a very low level and rarely make changes to anything. So, I'm also actually a little confused about what has happened. Is there anything I need to do?50.204.10.131 (talk) 02:50, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

Wards in Zimbabwe
I am sorry for wrongful editions on Wards in Zimbabwe.
- Chitepo ward in the Kwekwe wards in Zimbabwe links to Herbert Chitepo a person, than to the ward; how can this be corrected?
- How can []Empress Mine]] on this same page be linked to Empress Mine Ward 8 on the Zhombe page?
(jaisondlovu)
- Hi, Jaisondlovu! Welcome to Wikipedia! There's no need to apologize - you're encouraged to edit first and ask questions later; mistakes are certainly inevitable, and I'll be more than happy to answer your questions. Fixing these issues is very easy. I also notice that Chitepo redirects to Herbert Chitepo, rather than the ward you were looking to link in the article. I did a quick search on Wikipedia and found this list, but that's about it. I don't think that an article exists on that ward, although I could be wrong. If the article does not exist, you have an opportunity to create it! Afterwards, you'd simply link other articles to your new article (or the Chitepo Ward article that may already exist) by simply replacing [[Chitepo]] with [[FULL NAME OF ARTICLE]] in any article that has it linked incorrectly. Looking at the Zhombe article, it looks like a section about Express Mine Ward 8 already exists within the article here. This typically means that Express Mine Ward 8 does not have its own article (unless the author accidentally forgot to link that section to the main article page - it does happen sometimes). Nonetheless, you'd simply do the exact same thing above - just add [[FULL NAME OF ARTICLE]] to the article. The two brackets tell the MediaWiki software that this is an internal link, and the software will render it as so. Just make sure that you add a good description to the edit summary when you edit articles so that other editors and reviewers will know what you're doing if they take a look at your modifications. That's pretty much it. If you want to read more about linking and style, check out Wikipedia's Manual of style and Manual of style/Linking. If you're interested in becoming a long-term contributor here (which I really really hope that you are - we need people like you), you should start at Wikipedia's Five Pillars page - it will teach you all things Wikipedia from the very beginning, and you'll learn a lot of very useful information that will make your experience learning everything about the project an easy and smooth one. Again, I offer you my most sincere welcome to Wikipedia, and please do not hesitate to message me again if you have any more questions or if you need any help. I'll be more than happy to help you with anything that you need :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 11:25, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Above your talk page, you claim, you are busy in real life, but you happen to be present everywhere fighting vandalism. The Avengers 15:33, 1 December 2015 (UTC) |
- Hi, The Avengers! Thanks for the barnstar! I really appreciate the wikilove. Yeah, I put the "busy in real life" template on my talk page quite some time ago when I was busy with college. I definitely have more free time nowadays than I did back then (thank God), but there are times where I can get just as busy with my job as I did when I was in school (just not nearly as often - again, thank you God... lol). So I decided to just leave the template on there instead of constantly adding it and taking it off repeatedly. That way, worst case scenario, people aren't surprised if my response takes a few days :-)
- Again, thanks a lot for taking the time to leave a fist bump and some wikilove. It's really great to meet you, and I hope you're enjoying your time on Wikipedia (I see that you created an account just a few months ago). Please don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions. I'll be happy to help you out! Happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 18:09, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
A gentle survey for research purpose
Hello Oshwah,
I am Bowen Yu, a computer science PhD student at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Currently, we are working on a project studying the main article and sub article relationship in a purpose of better serving the Wikipedia article structure. It would be appreciated if you could take 4-5 minutes to finish the survey questions. Thanks in advance! We will not collect any of your personally information.
Thank you for your time to participate this survey. Your response is important for us!

Hi Oshwah
Hi Oshwah,
I'm trying to create a page on my new project/band The Undecided.
How do I go about doing this without my page being removed? Do I need to justify on the page why it should exist?
The criteria you cited didn't make a lot of sense to me, can youe explain?
Thanks,
Gary — Preceding unsigned comment added by Garylovesguitar (talk • contribs) 20:24, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, Garylovesguitar - welcome to Wikipedia! Your article was tagged for speedy deletion because of this criterion. Articles that are created must meet notability and verifiability guidelines, or they can be tagged for speedy deletion (if it meets any criterion), or proposed for deletion, or nominated for a deletion discussion. On a side note, you mentioned that you are trying to create an article about your project or band. Creating or editing articles, as well as even discussing articles and content where you have personal ties or relationships with is highly discouraged, as it represents a conflict of interest and detracts your ability to contribute to the content in a neutral point of view. The best thing that you can do regarding the article about your project or band is to have someone else create it that is completely uninvolved, or don't cross the bridge at all and contribute to other projects. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Again, welcome to Wikipedia! ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 20:37, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, thanks. You know, women. It is a fatal condition. It kills either or men or us, but it is always fatal in the end. During the condition many other symptoms, many less than pleasant, develop. So, there you go. But I still think that no one post menopausal should be in a position of power, other than with her grandchildren. Automatic reversion
It seems like there's an automatic (non human) reversion to an earlier version of the Talk page, when 1) I remove a large paragraph and 2) I don't put anything in the "Edit Summary". The reversion goes back to something very old, however. I'd made a backup of my own beforehand, so everything worked out ok. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lschweitz (talk • contribs) 03:24, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
Stevens Model 520/620 Edits
Oshwah, I'll be the first to admit that I've conducted a very large amount of original research concerning this particular family of shotguns and have written a very in depth identification guide in a blog on the Gun Values Board. I know I cannot source anything that I've written so I tried to present just the absolutely verifiable information located in the only professionally written record (the actual catalogs where this shotgun was presented and described for sale). There is nothing else out there in print or on the web that details the development of this John Browning design or even accurately describes it. Bruce Canfield does a great job describing the military versions in his book on US military combat shotguns but that's only 3 out of almost 50 years of production. What should I do to keep the page from being deleted for lack of references?Keydet92 (talk) 04:03, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Sir, As you told me to prove the fact that meenas are not a tribe and they belongs to kshatriya varna ,i am providing you a link which prove that meenas are 'high-caste kshatriya' url=https://books.google.co.in/books?id=fOQkpcVcd9AC&pg=PT253&dq=matsya+kingdom+history+and+meenas&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CBgQ6AEwAmoVChMIu-GQ24KJyQIVwi6mCh3QqwF0#v=onepage&q=mina%20(meenas)kingdom%20history%20and%20high%20caste%20kshatriyas%20communities&f=false In this link meenas are regarded as caste, tribe and community. In reality meenas of different region of india fall into different category whic are as follows:-scheduled tribe, other backward classes(e.g. like jaat, ahir and gurjars) and general category.I hope now it is clear to you that meena is a community and they are not a caste or tribe. So i request you to please let me edit meena page and refrain user mahensingha to suppress well known fact about meenas.
I would also like to mention that in my earlier edit on meenas page,i had provided citation for the facts regarding meena community but it was reverted by mahensingha and this make me little bit angry,so because of that i started editing the page without providing their citation and now i am sorry for that. Roger Mortimer, Earl of March
You really don't think it's relevant that the Mortimer family was descended from Welsh royalty? I think it's not only historically important and accurate, but places much of their history in perspective. I have the citations, I only need to finish unpacking my library to access them.
When you examine Mortimer's grandfather, Gwyladus' son, and his rabid anti-Welsh hatred of his cousin Llywelyn, as well as his descendants, the Yorkist Plantagenets and their role in the Wars of the Roses, I think the family's descent from Welsh royalty is as important as their Plantagenet legacy. In fact, in my opinion, an examination of Richard III's character (NOT the Shakespearean version) can be attributed as much to his genes from Llywelyn Fawr as from any of his English forbears.
Actually, as I write this I realize this is probably not the right venue. Perhaps you might suggest a better one?WriteinEnglish (talk) 05:58, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

Information in UNC Mens Basketball article is Not Neutral Point of View
To say that the concept of the Carolina Way is "marred" is highly subjective especially considering that the assumption is based on an investigation that has not concluded. The University of North Carolina Men's Basketball team has not been found guilty of any violations. The information that was deleted presented information as fact based on an article that was opinion and not neutral or widely accepted point of view. - Hi, Tony Abigail! Welcome to Wikipedia! I wanted to respond and thank you for the barnstar! I very much appreciate you for taking the time to leave this for me! I see that you're new to Wikipedia; if you have any questions or need any help, please do not hesitate to leave me a message and ask. I'll be more than happy to assist you and point you in the right direction. Happy editing! ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 23:59, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
Please do not use rollback to revert any edit which is not blatant vandalism. In the future, use the edit summary to explain your reasoning. Thanks! Tony Abigail (talk) 00:06, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- You are correct in saying that your revert did contain an edit summary. However you had incorrectly used standard rollback because the edit you reverted was not blatant vandalism. Tony Abigail (talk) 00:12, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- I think I meant to revert that as possible vandalism, but accidentally didn't explain. Either way, I appreciate the diligence :-D ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 00:14, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to St Lucy's Day: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Tony Abigail (talk) 00:22, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- In relation to my above message I apologise for the misunderstanding, having looked through your contributions it was quite obvious you were already aware of these templates! I have therefore struck it out. Tony Abigail (talk) 00:25, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- Tony Abigail - It's okay! You're new and that's quite alright. When it comes to fighting vandalism, you'll soon realize just how common mistakes are. Demographics of Karnataka
Hi Oshwah, There was an edit summary and further the reason was concise, clear and to the point. You may have somehow missed that. I am reverting the reverted changes. FYI, the section i deleted quoted some references which does not support the stats. In fact they are some random links, unrelated to the stats in that section. (Edit summary after I made the changes in Demographics of Karnataka- "Data supported by wrong citations. Citations provided were not referring to caste demographics")

Re: Maps
Re: Maps (Yeah Yeah Yeahs song)
Hmm, ok.
It really can't have a "reliable" source as it is a (widespread) fan theory. Citing a source on a theory or "rumour" seemed wrong to me. I still find it a very interesting piece of trivia about the song and think it should be in Wikipedia. (I actually just went onto that page to remind myself of the alleged meaning and found that it was lacking the info, but instead had to Google it, which was a shame IMHO.)
Should I really state a source on this sort of thing?
Should it not really be part of Wikipedia as it can't be proved as fact? As I said, it seems like a quite interesting piece of trivia to me, albeit "only" just a fan theory.

Hello
Hello. Thank you for closing my post on the Administrator Help Desk. May I request that you change your closing comment. Your closing comment is absolutely wrong. There was no dispute resolution process that was involved. There was and are no discussions on the article's talk pages.

Instead of "Thread has been resolved. User has been reminded of proper dispute resolution process and the discussion is being held on the article's talk page"
your comment should maybe be
"Thread has been resolved. User Jhona has been reminded of proper review handling process and the discussion on User Jhona's talk page have been satisfactory."
I am not sure of the processes on WIkipedia but I would request you to change your wrong closing comment. Thank you. Xender Lourdes (talk) 01:31, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

I removed the redirect because he is not a radio host. That is inaccurate information.
Sobluinc (talk) 01:46, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- Sobluinc, you keep saying in your edit summary (such as here and here) that you "know this person" and "work for him", etc. This does not constitute as proof or a reliable source - it is original research, which is not allowed in articles. I highly recommend that you review Wikipedia's guidelines on original research, as it will be helpful for you to know and understand. Please let me know if you have any questions. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:53, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- In addition to saying that "I work for him" and "I know this person" I also included links to articles (which you deleted) validating this information. For example:
- Meanwhile you are reverting back to inaccurate information (like calling him a radio host). And if people are required to read all of the guidelines before posting, and the rules for posting are so stringent, then how did these fake pages with false information get put up and why isn't the inaccurate information being deleted? Please advise because this page being incorrect is a huge issue for him and is harmful to his business and he needs this information to be accurately updated.

Prick Up Your Ears Episode

As you can plainly see, Lois rapes Peter in this scene. There is no point trying to add a euphemism like 'forcefully convinces him' to change his mind about abstinence. If the roles were reveresed, there would be no question that it would be considered rape, therefore it should not set a double standard by using double-speak to soften the meaning of the reality of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.171.79.104 (talk) 02:02, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

- Hi, Haiderrajpoot756 - Welcome to Wikipedia! Creating an article or biography about yourself is highly discouraged as doing so introduces a conflict of interest between yourself and... well... yourself (meaning the article about yourself). Creating articles also require that certain criteria be met regarding the subject first; I cannot just "create an article" - it requires many hours of careful research, planning, and writing. Again, I welcome you to Wikipedia and I encourage you to contribute to a subject area that interests you instead. I wouldn't dive anywhere near the realm of publishing an autobiography here; it's highly problematic and will most likely not be successful (no offense). ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs)

Ignition timing edit
Why did you revert my edit?? Who wrote that sentence to begin with?? That person has No knowledge of engine combustion. There are Plenty of references to document combustion rate vs speed, load, timing, everything. That statement is False. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Perigalacticon (talk • contribs) 08:54, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, Perigalacticon - Your edit here should instead be made on the article's talk page (here), not in the article itself. So long as you express your concerns there, you'll be good to go :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:58, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- You addition wasn't incorrect, but it wasn't an improvement to the text.
- As a style note, avoid using bracketed phrases in an encyclopedia. They're a strong indication that the addition is a disconnected aside, out of context from the main article. Which isn't something that reads easily.
- This is an article on ignition timing. Not on turbulence or fuel mixing in combustion chambers, important as they are. The point of this section is that there are two time-critical processes going on: piston movement (rpm dependent) and flame front propagation (rpm independent). As speed increases, ignition timing (as an angular measure) needs to advance. Whilst it is true that flow improvements increase flame propagation velocity, this is more of a general improvement for some head designs, not a linear relation to engine speed. So it doesn't remove the need to advance timing with speed.
- The point for an encyclopedia though is that accuracy is only the second goal: the primary goal has to be communication. Very often a simplified version has to be communicated to readers, or communicated first. It is not useful for an encyclopedia to present a convoluted statement, full of exception cases, which obscure the key point.
- This does of course belong on the article talk: page, not here. Feel free to copy it over. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:58, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Red Desk talk page trolling
Oshwah,
This is the real Wickwack. I am permanently banned from Ref Desk (though not from Wikipedia itself, which I find a little bizzare). Yesterday a troll pretended to be me on teh Ref Desk talk page, and by chance I was looking to see "what the chooks are up to". Such trolls, accepted by Jayron, is quite horifying, so I posted a response so that those who were misled by the troll could tell for sure the troll was not me. I left several clues in the post that would definitively identify me to ref desk regulars.
I never regarded the ban against me as legitimate, as it was put in place malicously by certain people who concocted their own plot. However, I never wished harm to Wikipedia, stopped posting when teh ban was enacted, and find the ongoing belief that all sorts of other pests are me quite horifying.
Since it is a very bad idea to feed trolls, I deleted the entire thread just now, as the people misled don't need it now.
You restored it, giving teh troll continued enjoyment. Please delete the entire thread again.
Wickwack60.228.206.185 (talk) 00:55, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
- 60.228.206.185 - If you're banned from editing the reference desk, then you absolutely cannot edit that page at all, what-so-ever. You're violating your ban by doing so, which will get your block extended and add more sanctions onto your ban. I am not properly equipped to properly deal with your claims. If you have issues regarding impersonation, then you need to contact the Wikipedia volunteer response team with your issue so that they can assist you and sort it out. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:02, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
- Use some common sense. Obviuously I know I'm banned. However, this is - what should be an obvious - genuine good faith attempt to nip something quite horrifying in the bud - trolls pretending to be me. Deleting the whole thread is the obvious thing to do. Wouldl a real troll want threads he started deleted? I think not. Citing an edit ban as justification for leaving a troll initiated thread in place seems weird.
- Don't worry about extending the block. It matters not a whit whether you do or don't. I understand the ban is permanent (ie forever) and have absolutely no intention to contribute to Wikipedia.

Oshwah - I am updating the Yellow House page. I am an archivist at the University of Wollongong and we have a major Yellow House project underway. It commenced last year and I hope to refine the Wikipedia entry in line with the research project we are undertaking. The Yellow House is a significant event in the artistic history of New South Wales and I will add to the Wikipedia entry to highlight this aspect. Thank you. Speedy deletion
Hello! I haven't got the time to study the entire UIMC article in detail. Perhaps something is very wrong, but as of today - can I only disagree with you. Forker 2244 has indeed expanded the article, and I want more TIME. And it's not just that the article is far much larger than when I wrote a stub about it. I must also be given time to study the wiki-paragraphs that you mention. And I'm very busy for the moment, as Christmas is coming up. And there ought be a page about the speedy deletion suggestment , could You please direct me to that one ? Likewise - what button should I press ? I can't find anything on the top of the article, that deals with a speedy deletion. So if you could tell me what label this button has, then this would be much appriciated. Your reply would be best (for me atleast) if you give it on my talk-page. But I have marked Your talk-page for watching, just in case. Again - You may be correct, but I fail to see why to hurry things on now. I'm from Sweden and here the Christmas begins already on the afternoon of the 24th. And I'm behind schedule already. I hope you will understand. I will though deal with the matter before Christmas, I promise. Just please help me with the speedy deletion page and the label of the button You talk about. And You can disregard from my comment at the talk-page, it was hastly written. I have also mentioned this to Forker 2244. So now all my cards are on the table, so to speak. Cheers ! Boeing720 (talk) 14:40, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, Boeing720! Thanks for leaving me a message regarding United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation. To answer your general question: the speedy deletion process is meant to circumvent/bypass deletion discussion by having users nominate articles to be deleted that are clear-cut cases where a discussion would be a waste of time - since the article clearly meets the given criterion and (to put it in basic terms) is an "Oh, yeah... definitely" scenario. I took another look at the article at the time that I tagged it for CSD, and I realize now that this article is not one of these cases. While I had concerns (all of which have been subsequently fixed), the article wasn't an unambiguous case. I later put the CSD tag back into the article because it was removed without explanation; typically, CSD tags should be removed by administrators or other editors given that the situation warrants it - it should not be removed by editors who either created the page, or are directly involved with its expansion. Please see my dummy edit - I've noted that the CSD tag removal is OK; you should be good to go! I want to apologize for any frustration or confusion that I caused with tagging the article for CSD. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to help you! Happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 15:10, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

Re: lack of reference for recent change.
Hi Oshwah, please note that there is a reference to this fact in the introduction section of this page. I didn't want to refer to it twice, but it is currently footnote #1 on the page that verifies the new ED via outside source. I am not expert enough to know how to refer to a citation twice.

- Hi, Samtar! Thank you for leaving feedback and for your kind words - I appreciate it very much. Honestly, even just creating that Optional RfA candidate poll made me think that others might interpret my motives as "being desperate" for the bit or "oh, that's all that he thinks about!" - but in the end, I just have to be myself and let my history and my actions speak for me. I think September 2016 (perhaps maybe a bit earlier - I'll think about it) is a good time to consider applying again. If you're okay with it, I may come knocking on your door for an endorsement down the line :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:11, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi Oshwah
Hi Oshwah, I had removed some text from the page [Pandorum Technologies], and was deliberately done. I am a cofounder of the Bangalore based biotech startup. Also, please can you guide me as how to remove the page from deletion list. Thanks 59.93.104.206 (talk) 08:53, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- 59.93.104.206 - The article you created has been speedily deleted due to two sections of that policy: G11 (advertising/promotion), as well as A7 (articles about companies that lack significance). Creating articles about yourself, a company you work for, or any other subject where you are personally involved represents a conflict of interest, which is highly discouraged behavior on Wikipedia and should be avoided at all times. This is because of the fact that it introduces a factor that prevents the article from being written in a neutral point of view, which is the viewpoint that is required for all Wikipedia articles. I highly recommend that you avoid this topic area entirely, and contribute to a project or subject that you are not personally involved. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 18:43, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

The Big Short Edit
Hello,
I removed the "Book Summary" write-up under the "Summary" section on The Big Short (film) page due to it being unnecessary in my opinion. There is already page titled The Big Short, detailing the novel summary. The Big Short (film) page should only detail the plot summary of the film. I had completely forgot to leave an edit summary in which I apologize.
Thank you :)

Department of the army civilian police
You changed my edits. I apologize for not giving an explanation but all of my edits were correct. I deleted the hollow point section because the author seem to be majoring on the minors. While it was factual, the adoption of hollow point ammunition was more of an army wide policy than a dacp policy. Furthermore, it was not significant enough to justify inclusion anymore than any other minor regulatory proscription.

I'm not experienced with Wikipedia though I have in the past installed experimental Mediawiki sites. I am trying to create an article about Hector Garcia. i actually have two articles out there with identical content. One was linked from Emilio Pujol, but now neither of them link from anywhere. I need two kinds of help. First, how can I have only one article that properly links and redirects? Second, I goofed the reference citation syntax.Jimboluke (talk) 15:32, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

~Hector Garcia edits, redirection problem?
First, thanks for your help. Second, I tried to go into Wikipedia main page through seach, typed in "Hector Garcia" and it took me to the disambiguation page. I notice you put a Musician category with Hector in it. However, when I click, I just go right back to the disambiguation page again? Is there a way to fix the endless loop? Or is it just that I need to be patient and wait for system cache updates, etc.Jimboluke (talk) 15:58, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Emporia State University Presidents and Jacqueline Vietti - Important!
Oshwah, I do not know who you are, but I am responding to the revert on the Emporia State President's page, and the Jacqueline Vietti page. The commentary following the dates that the Interim Jackie Vietti served is not necessary, and is highly disputed. There is a federal lawsuit in Topeka, Kansas regarding this matter. Jackie did not solve anything, and the so-called investigation was a sham, just like the NFL cover-up of head injuries that resulted in the movie CONCUSSION, which is now playing. If you are part of dispute resolution, I welcome your input and involvement. Otherwise, I would appreciate being directed to someone who can help resolve this matter. A book is currently being written on this hate crime investigation at ESU, and if Wikipedia allows this false information to remain, you can be sure that the book will cast sugnificant doubt of the veracity and reliability of Wikipedia, which is not something I would like to see. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.234.44.148 (talk) 19:49, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, 77.234.44.148. Thank you for leaving me a message with your questions. I am not part of any dispute with the articles that you've edited. The reason that I reverted your edit was because you removed content from an article that seemed legitimate but did not explain why you removed it in the edit summary. In the future, you will want to do this as it helps other contributors and editors understand your reasoning and act accordingly (if applicable). If you are involved in a dispute with another editor, you need to remember some very important things: First, do not engage in edit warring. We generally use the "three-revert rule", but not as a policy, but as a guideline. You can be blocked if you are determined to be edit warring, even if you do not violate the revert rule guideline. Second, if you find that you are starting to revert back-and-fourth, stop editing the article and discuss the dispute on the article's talk page. Do not continue to revert back-and-fourth until you have agreed upon a resolution. Third, be civil. Always be respectful of other editors, assume good faith, and don't make personal attacks; Wikipedia is not a battleground. If you always abide by these rules; you'll have nothing to worry about. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Happy editing, and have a happy New Year. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 20:04, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

- I did the delete on this page. It is best not to write about yourself! Although there is a claim of importance, I find it hard to believe this developer is the youngest, and it was promotional in nature. Sorry, Tabish, if you want to do this again, please use WP:AFC. Hello Oshwah
I am the user that you reverted the edits to the Sulfur dioxide article to. I was changing the chemical formula because it had a single space in it that wasn't supposed to be there caused by a users script. Can you please explain to me why this was not constructive?
Thanks, LargeVirus (talk) 21:41, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
- LargeVirus - I hope you're not referring to this edit, because that's the only edit I reverted on Sulfur dioxide. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:44, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oh god, how embarrasing. I had cloud to butt extension on. So sorry, I'll fix it. Thank you LargeVirus (talk) 21:47, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
- HAHA! I've heard of that extension before but haven't used it. No worries; just add Wikipedia to its whitelist (if it has one) ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:50, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Tommy Kavounidis
Hi and happy new year!
I have declined your A7 speedy delete nomination on Tommy Kavounidis because it was nominated only 4 minutes after the page was first written. For this sort of page (and for A1, A3) we should give the writer a chance, for all we know they may have got an edit conflict and given up. Please wait an hour or so before nominating non obvious stuff for A7 delete. (Now we will have to check again later to see if it has improved or not - a prod may be the way to go). - Yamaguchi先生! It's always good to run into you. Thank you for the New Years wishes, and I hope that you have a fun and safe New Years as well. I'm working at 6 AM local time tomorrow, so I won't be out having too much fun. Drink a cold one for me ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:38, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
Thomas W.
Sorry, but if you know anything about Thomas W. you'd know that he's not a contributor to the Laura Branigan page, but a troll who thinks he owns it and only intervenes to delete contributions by others without any kind of justifiable rationale except a personal vendetta. Are you in it with him? When he's reported should you be included? He kept the page down for years and only recently admitted that he was sabotaging correct information after others complained. If he would be blocked from editing that page it'd be a benefit to all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.171.140.151 (talk) 22:13, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
