"Vandalism" to User talk:J Di

[edit]

J Di is not vandalising his talk page, he simply has a policy of not removing other people's vandalism from his talk page, and reverting any removals, hence his message at the top "please do not remove or revert messages that appear to be vandalism". He has not vandalised his own page. Please consider taking back your warnings, thanks. anemoneprojectors 14:54, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: References

[edit]

Where does the Chinese version of those articles get the ratings from? Cause those Chinese articles didn't cite sources and other Wikipedias can't be used as sources as per Wikipedia:Verifiability: "Articles and posts on Wikipedia may not be used as sources." --Silver Edge (talk) 05:47, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I won't pursue this any further. --Silver Edge (talk) 08:04, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heart of Greed

[edit]

I get what you mean now, go on, you might even want to push for GA status. Dengero (talk) 05:24, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

April 2008

I do not think Linda's name should be put in the main credits because she belonged to the peripheral part of the story. If people like Raymond, Tavia, Michelle Yim etc. do not get their names on the main actors' list, I do not see why this should be the case for Linda Chung.

Neither did I delete information pertaining to the story. Like I mentioned earlier, I deleted biased evaluation of the character.

Also, you will restrict your comments to what I have done is related to Heart Of Greed, not what to do. I'm sorry, are you qualified to tell me how to do things? Because I don't think so, this is not your personal webpage/crusade, and it comes off as extremely obnoxious. This is your first warning.

Fair use rationale for Image:Supertriosupreme.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Supertriosupreme.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. WikiProject

[edit]

Hi, I noticed your contributions to various TVB articles, so I'm wondering if you'd be interested in contributing to WikiProject Modern Chinese music. There's been discussions about revamping the Wikiproject to include Chinese TV and film, but it kind of died off... so I'm trying to gather interest again to get the thing started. Would you be interested? Skyezx 06:08, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for taking so long to reply, but yep, the WikiProject will cover Chinese TV... film is, for the time being, still under WikiProject Films. However, the WP has been renamed Wikipedia:WikiProject Chinese-language entertainment, and should include everything else, from music, TV, to actors, singers, etc. If you're still interested, you can head over there and sign up... and watch the talk page for discussions. The WP is still a bit shaky, but there are some active members that are willing to particpate in discussions. Hopefully, we can get a project going soon and maybe work together to get some articles (like TVB or maybe even Heart of Greed) to GA status. I know, I dream big. =p Skyezx (talk) 04:01, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brisbane Lions

[edit]

Thanks for your comments. Basically, Wikipedia is not a repository of everything. WP:NOT. especially what can be easily found elsewhere. at the moment, you've included up to 2005, but where do we stop? 2002? and also we need to be consistent with other AFL club articles. also you will note the policy In addition, articles should contain sufficient explanatory text to put statistics within the article in their proper context for a general reader this does not appear. As a guide, I'd suggest you look at some football club (I know they're not AFL) featured articles such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leek_Town_F.C.#Statistics_and_records or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crusaders_%28rugby%29 thanks Michellecrisp (talk) 06:48, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

is neccessary for this info to be displayed if there is need of it, at the moment, there is. That is your opinion. I don't think you've demonstrated the need. as I said you previously provided no context for this in the article. Someone scanning it through it like me, wonders why season stats from the last 3 seasons are in the middle of the article. Michellecrisp (talk) 07:03, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes that's better, thanks for your cooperation. Have a good weekend. Michellecrisp (talk) 07:06, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject TVB

[edit]

Shaggy9872004,

I see that you are working very diligently on the TVB related articles. Therefore, I have an idea. Should we start a Wikiproject namely "WikiProject TVB"? You can invite other Wikipedia members to join. Please reply. Thanks!

Hi. :) The article Moonlight Resonance was listed at the copyright problems board with respect to the plot summary copied from this source. Given your note in edit summary here, I wanted to just drop you a personal note to explain my removal of this material. In our non-free content guidelines, the section titled "acceptable use" explains a bit when quotations may become infringement. You're quite correct that sources must be cited and authorship attributed. But even if we cite, attribute and properly mark the text, we can't use too much of material in order to comply with fair use. (For a good external site overview of copyright, you may want to visit Stanford University's site.) We can only use brief quotations from a source (determined by ratio to overall size) as necessary to supplement our own text. Of course, you're welcome to base a new plot summary written in your own words on that site and may include brief quotations from it if necessary. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to let me know at my talk page. Thanks. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:34, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of ongoing discussion

[edit]

There is a discussion relating to the actions of User:Brisbanelionsfan1, at the Wikipedia:Administrators noticeboard. As you have been involved in an editing dispute on the Brisbane Lions article I thought you might want to comment. Cheers. Jevansen (talk) 12:44, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Westfield.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. AfD nomination of Matt Tilley

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Matt Tilley. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Matt Tilley (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:16, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:31, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
