[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tim Campbell (Commercial Vehicle Industry Pundit), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Tim Campbell (Commercial Vehicle Industry Pundit). Goochelaar (talk) 17:25, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Sevenv requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pinkadelica 08:45, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
The article Google Love has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Also, see WP:NEO. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:57, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Bigtank Productions
[edit]I have nominated Bigtank Productions, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bigtank Productions. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Speedy deletion nomination of Skiddle
[edit]A tag has been placed on Skiddle, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. File permission problem with File:Skiddle's Weekends Matter Logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Skiddle's Weekends Matter Logo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:40, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Norman tenray, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Preston and The Telegraph (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of London Underline
[edit]The article London Underline has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- An unsolicited suggestion, which has zero possibility of ever being built (there is literally not a word in the alleged source—in fact, the blog of a plumbing supplies firm—to suggest that it's "backed by the Mayor of London Boris Johnson"). It is possible for an unbuilt infrastructure proposal to be notable in its own right owing to the debate it generates, but this is not exactly London Britannia Airport or High Speed 2.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to OBAS Group. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. DGG ( talk ) 00:29, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi DGG thank you for your comments. I added the companies external links because I genuinely believed they would be useful to a reader. This was in no way an attempt to pass on link juice from Wikipedia (I realise that all links on Wikipedia are nofollowed. Cosmicsqueaker 09:42, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- The point is, that we allow an EL to the official website wherever it may be, but do not allow additional links to their facebook, instagram , twitter, etc. social media pages unless they happen to be the principal website, as is the case for a few performers, etc. Anyone wanting the social media links can find them easily enough. DGG ( talk ) 16:34, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ah - I didn't know, I'll make that change Cosmicsqueaker 16:43, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
[edit]WP certainly needs more articles on notable commercial enterprises, but I and others have expressed concerns at several of the articles you have created. Considering them, it seems possible that you have some degree of WP:Conflict of Interest with some of the firms involved. Just in case it should apply, I must remind you about our our Terms of Use, particularly with respect to paid contributions without disclosure. The way it is currently interpreted, if there should be a financial connection with an industry group, even if not an individual company, it would be necessary to declare it. DGG ( talk ) 00:42, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi DGG thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will in future create Conflict of Interest Declaration where appropriate. I am trying to create useful noteworthy articles. And I'm taking on board the things that editors are saying and trying to develop my articles accordingly. Cosmicsqueaker 09:47, 16 November 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.104.101.20 (talk)
Further to the above, I just wanted to point out that I've never been asked to create an entry on Wikipedia, I've always done this off my own back because I believed it would be useful. Cosmicsqueaker 09:55, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Just because the article(s) were created on your initiative does not mean you do not have a conflict of interest. Your editing history is indicative of this. Have you read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest yet? If there is any conflict of interest, you should make a declaration about any editing you have already done, not merely anything you might do in the future. Edwardx (talk) 19:39, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Edwardx I realise that now (I didn't before). I'll attempt to go through and make some additional changes to the Wikipedia pages I've worked on or created and I will add the conflict of interest on there - to be fair, probably everything that I edit will have some kind of conflict of interest because I'd generally only edit things that I'm knowledgeable in. I do appreciate being given the chance to improve the things I've been involved with. I'm confident that although I don't make a lot of edits/additions, I can be a valuable part of the Wikipedia community. Speedy deletion nomination of BrightHR
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on BrightHR, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
