This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on November 22, 2023.
Life Speaks to Me (lyric video)
- Life Speaks to Me (lyric video) → Basshunter videography#Lyric videos (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Redundant redirect from an implausible search term. With extremely rare exceptions on the order of "Thriller", a music video would virtually never qualify for its own standalone article as a separate topic from the song that it's the music video for, and lyric videos (which absolutely anybody can make and post to YouTube at any time whether it's "official" or not) have an even weaker prospect of independent notability than narrative videos do -- but since Life Speaks to Me is already a redirect to the same place as it is, there's no compelling reason at all why the lyric video would need its own separate redirect distinct from the song's redirect. Bearcat (talk) 16:17, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. There is information about a lyric video for "Life Speaks to Me" at the target, even if not much, so someone using this plausible search term is going to find the information we have. I wouldn't recommend routinely creating redirects such as this, but I see no justification for deletion if someone does create them. Thryduulf (talk) 10:41, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

Turkish Nazi
- Turkish Nazi → Three Pashas (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete as the Three Pashas have no link to Nazism. Omnibenevolence (talk) 23:26, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Turkish nationalism#Neo-Nazism and neo-fascism is a possible retarget. Not a particularly good one. —Cryptic 23:35, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- As you say, it's not even an appropriate redirect to that section of the article. Further, it is a singular redirect (Nazi, not Nazis). This shouldn't even be a redirect, I would say creating "Category:Turkish nazis" would be more precise, but "Category:Turkish collaborators with Nazi Germany" already exists. Omnibenevolence (talk) 23:42, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
Bharat(India)
- Bharat(India) → Names for India (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete per WP:RDAB due to the extra space between the title and the disambiguator. The title with the correct spacing, Bharat (India), is a redirect that targets the same target as the nominated redirect. Steel1943 (talk) 19:16, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete per Steel1943. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 20:21, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep per pageviews; missing a space in English is a very common mistake in India so this redirect has seen fairly significant viewership. Helpful. RDAB is but a presumption that these redirects are unhelpful, proven untrue in this instance. J947 † edits 23:04, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete per nom --Lenticel (talk) 05:30, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete as typical WP:RDAB. The only reason it's popular is because Search lists it before the correct version with a space. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:15, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

Bayport(The Hardy boys)
- Bayport(The Hardy boys) → The Hardy Boys#Premise (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete per WP:RDAB due to lack of space between the title and the disambiguator. However, the title that matches this title with the proper spacing, Bayport (The Hardy boys), does not exist, but the title with the proper capitalization and spacing, Bayport (The Hardy Boys), does exist and targets the same target as the nominated redirect. Delete per WP:RDAB due to both lack of a space between the title and the disambiguator, and the misspelled disambiguator "myhtology" (should be "mythology".) Steel1943 (talk) 18:01, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

Reliant K
I'm curious if it's more likely that people searching for the band Relient K would use this alternative spelling. The target page notes that the car has been referred to as "Reliant K" and currently has a hatnote to the band. The redirect originally went to the band in 2009, then was switched to the car the following day. It has not been updated since. I think it would be better to switch the targets. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:16, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep - I think it is about equally likely to apply to either; fourteen years in the same place suggests some consensus for keeping it there; stability is typically a positive. The hatnote at Plymouth Reliant suffices in my eyes. Mr.choppers | ✎ 18:31, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep - appropriate hatnotes will make readers know which pages they should read should they initially go to the wrong page. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 20:56, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

Pepe's
- Pepe's → Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
This redirect feels too broad. A Google search shows multiple Mexican restaurants with this name, as well as this pizzeria. The other restaurants don't have Wikipedia pages (at least not yet), but I'm curious if people searching for 'Pepe's' will typically be searching for this pizzeria in New Haven, Connecticut. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:56, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Comment if this is kept, then the target needs a hatnote to Pepe (disambiguation). Thryduulf (talk) 17:06, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep I don't think any of the items in the disambiguation page other than the notable pizza restaurant (now chain in multiple US) are referred to as "Pepe's" ever. Since we don't have any articles about (or probably even discuss) other restaurants named Pepe('s) a search result won't help readers about that. And "Pepe's" is a pretty common way to refer to the restaurant in the markets it exists and pizza world. So keep redirect and adding a redirects here hatnote probably makes sense. Skynxnex (talk) 14:42, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- The redirect from Pepe's to Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is specific and precise, not broad. "Pepe's" is not the official name of the business (please see historical and current photos that have printed signage displaying FRANK PEPE PIZZERIA NAPOLETANA). Pepe's is a common way to refer to the restaurant in the Connecticut market - however, with the expansion across the Eastern US, those may not understand that Pepe's is the same business as Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana. 2600:6C60:140:2E:3C5D:B008:9264:C91D (talk) 15:39, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
DDDD
Literally no reason for this to redirect here. Delete TypoEater (talk) 15:56, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete: The page does reference "the 4 D's", but I feel like this is a limited use case with a lot of opportunities for WP:SURPRISE. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:07, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Disambig. The target article does state in the lead "Some try to remember the categories as "the 4 D's"", so there is a connection to the target. However there is also Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction (yes that's 5 Ds but apparently not in the original Japanese), a Bra size, one designation for the D (musical note) in the Subsubcontra octave and an art collective Sharon Gilchrist was part of. It's also a notation in various articles about date formatting (Date format by country#Listing is the most general place it seems to be defined but there might be a better target). - Gel Guard → List of Doctor Who universe creatures and aliens#Gel Guard (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete. Non-notable alien; the original citation is archived here. Karl 334 (talk · contribs) redirected the page to a list in 2013, but the entry for the creature on the target page at that date was just "Main: The Three Doctors",[1] and he did not merge any info. If not deleted, the merge target should be The Three Doctors (Doctor Who), but that article now says merely "UNIT headquarters faces an attack by shapeless blob-like creatures", not naming them "Gel Guards" as in the BBC citation. – Fayenatic London 10:48, 15 November 2023 (UTC)

Emergency Meeting
The term "Emergency Meeting" is not limited to Among Us, and this would be a confusing target for anyone who searches the term and knows nothing about the game. It's also not a particularly useful redirect – I highly doubt people are searching Emergency Meeting on Wikipedia looking for information on how the mechanic works in-game. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 09:22, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget to Extraordinary general meeting, possibly with hatnote to Among Us. Somewhat tentatively. We could do with or without the hatnote (it would look Weird but would be somewhat helpful IMO). I don't think there's enough fuel for a dab page here. J947 † edits 09:34, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- My first thought was not Extraordinary general meetings, but things like COBRA committee meetings for national emergencies. Quite what the best target for that would be I'm not sure. Thryduulf (talk) 11:44, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. When you search "Emergency Meeting" on Google, stuff about Among Us appears. A hatnote to Extraordinary general meeting would be nice though. SouthParkFan2006 (talk) 11:48, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- That's actually because of this redirect. We control the Internet. Append
-wikipedia
to your search and most of the Among Us stuff disappears. J947 † edits 22:06, 22 November 2023 (UTC)- I tried it and yes, most stuff that appears is still about Among Us. SouthParkFan2006 (talk) 07:17, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- This may depend on your search history, too. My first page in the search has two pages about Among Us, but two of the first three are definitions, one from Reporter's Committee for the Freedom of the Press and one from Collins Dictionary. My first search page also has several news stories about emergency meetings called for various reasons. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:06, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- Interesting. I use Ecosia and get nothing at all about Among Us until page two. Most results are news stories and articles. Even Andrew Tate's podcast shows up before Among Us stuff. I'm not sure if Ecosia uses user data to alter its results, but I know I have certainly consumed more Among Us content than Andrew Tate content. –CopperyMarrow15 (talk | edits) Feel free to ping me! 18:41, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

We do indeed control the front page of most search engines. –CopperyMarrow15 (talk | edits) Feel free to ping me! 23:14, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget to Extraordinary general meeting with a hatnote per J947 and CopperyMarrow15. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:03, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- Delete at this capitalisation, which infers a proper name. Emergency meeting is a redlink (quite properly: it's vague and ambiguous). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:35, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

Bagua/Hsing-i
- Bagua/Hsing-i → Baguazhang (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete: this redirect is not unambiguous. "Bagua" refers to baguazhang, and "Hsing-i" is a shortened form of the Wade-Giles transcription of xingyiquan. So redirecting anywhere doesn't make a lot of sense. SilverStar54 (talk) 05:11, 8 November 2023 (UTC)

- Delete. Bagua and Hsing-I are very different martial arts, associated only because they are internal styles (neijia), and are described in separate Wikipedia articles: baguazhang and xingyiquan. Also I don't agree with this idea of pointing this to wudangquan as suggested in a comment above, as the history is debatable. Neijia would be better, but it's best to simply delete this. All work and no play
- All work and no play → All Work & No Play (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
I think that this should redirect to the proverb All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy because it is often shortened this way. —Panamitsu (talk) 04:30, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget per nom, with hatnote. J947 † edits 09:36, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. Baring the ampersand this is an exact match for the title of the target and there is a hatnote to the proverb. If this is retargetted though there needs to be a hatnote to the album. Thryduulf (talk) 11:48, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Retarget without hatnote. The article for the proverb has a section for popular media references, and I've added the album there. I believe it's much more likely that people are thinking of the well-known proverb rather than the demo album for a Christian alternative band when they search "All work and no play". Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:20, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

- Hi, SouthParkFan2006 -- Can you explain why you believe people using the search term "All work and no play" are looking for a 1998 demo album rather than a well-known proverb? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:26, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- It's because "And" is the same as "&". SouthParkFan2006 (talk) 16:42, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Significa liberdade the argument for retargetting would be very significantly stronger if the album was not regarded as the primary topic for its title. Thryduulf (talk) 12:13, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Thryduulf and @SouthParkFan2006 -- Since July 2015, the lowest monthly visits to All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy is 10,668 (Pageviews). Conversely, All Work & No Play's highest monthly page view count since July 2015 is 367 (Pageviews). Based on this, as well as the lack of capitalization, I believe it's much more likely that people are looking for the proverb than the album Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:11, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

Keep per WP:SMALLDETAILS. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:41, 24 November 2023 (UTC)- Shhhnotsoloud -- In this case, I would argue that SMALLDETAILS argues for redirecting to the proverb. Given that the page for the proverb includes reference to the album, according to SMALLDETAILS, "small details are usually sufficient to distinguish topics", including capitalization and punctuation. In this case, the redirect is in lower case and doesn't use the ampersand, whereas the album is in title case and uses the ampersand. If people were looking for the album, which is less likely based on page counts stated above, they could easily find it on the proverb's page. - Retarget to John John: I think with this example WP:DIFFPUNCT is not a strong enough argument to target to JFK Jr, especially with John-John Dohmen also being listed at the DAB. So long as there is no PTOPIC for John John, this seems to be not problematic. If there is a PTOPIC for John John though, that should probably be discussed in an RM to move John John to John John (disambiguation), but as that is not currently the case and citing the possible ambiguity from punctuation, I think the retarget to the DAB should work for now.
