A fact from Kaijin Akashi appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 3 September 2019 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
|
"Akashi"
[edit]It seems rather obvious that Noda called himself "Akashi" from the first hospital, and that the latter was in Akashi, Hyōgo. However, I can't yet join the dots. -- Hoary (talk) 10:08, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
- Actually the hospital was in what's now Nishi-ku, Kobe. It may well have been in Akashi District, Hyōgo until 1951 or some time earlier, but I don't propose to investigate. -- Hoary (talk) 04:37, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
Contradictions
[edit]When did he start writing poetry? Ikeda says before he was hospitalized. -- Hoary (talk) 10:08, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
- Retracting the question, at least for now. -- Hoary (talk) 10:05, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
Publisher of Hakubyō
[edit]The CiNii record says that Hakubyō was published by Kaizōsha (改造社); the OCLC record says that it was published by Ishikawa Shobō (石川書房). Perhaps one of these records is mistaken; perhaps each of the two companies played a part in the publication and both are shown in the book's colophon. (As farfetched as this may sound, it's common in Japanese book publishing.) -- Hoary (talk) 10:05, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
