Singing in English

"Subsequently, Geva Alon's success has brought about a near revolution in Israel's market for native musicians who are often choosing to sing in English" - Refers to Geva's breakthrough on the Israeli national music charts, and his ability to attract an ever growing crowd, while writing, singing and performing strictly in English. His success opened the door to many artists into the main distribution lines, the radio charts and notability.

First of all, thanks a lot for writing the article! It's mostly well-written and comes in a very good timing before the next week's show. If you see me, say hello :)
The currently cited sources from from JP and mouse.co.il don't say anything about a "revolution". I agree that today Alon is one of the most important Israeli English-singing artists, but The Churchills, Noa, Rockfour, Izabo - just to name a few - sang in English before him and were quite popular. And don't forget Asaf Avidan, who started a little later than Alon, but is very popular now.
If you claim that Alon brought about a revolution and changed something special in the Israeli music scene, you must back it up by sources that say it clearly.
The JP and mouse.co.il article are good for themselves, though, because they are good for establishing notability, so i am moving them to a different place in the article. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 08:28, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
