Nasuno

[edit]

"Published Sources": The existing summary says that Aoba was "consolidated with Nasuno, 1997" but the description for "Nasuno" has it ending at Koriyama.

If Nasuno ends at Koriyama, what serves Fukushima? Because according to your description of the existing three services, there is none. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.90.45.10 (talk) 11:56, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Nasuno does not operate to Sendai. Fukushima is served by Yamabiko services. Perhaps the wording is slightly ambiguous, but the information as it stands is basically correct. Please do not change the information arbitrarily simply because you don't understand it. --DAJF (talk) 12:02, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, new wording removes confusion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.90.45.10 (talk) 12:16, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

8-year business plan and 360 km/h operation

[edit]

I have removed the misleading statement that JR East is planning to raise the maximum speed to 360 km/h by 2020. The JR East long-term business plan published on 30 October 2012, which outlines its aims for the next 8 years mentions simply "新幹線の時速360 ㎞での営業運転の実現に向けて重点的に取り組む" ("focusing on achieving shinkansen operations at 360 km/h") and "新幹線の時速360 ㎞での営業運転の実現に向けた研究開発" ("research and development toward realizing shinkansen operations at 360 km/h"). Even the media that reported this announcement ([1]) use "目指す" ("aiming for"), which should make it clear that there is no definite plan or schedule at this point. --DAJF (talk) 01:41, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
