The words

nor have any been excavated

suggest that these are subterranean aqueducts, unlike the above-ground aqueducts of the Roman Empire. If so, the article should say so. Michael Hardy (talk) 19:03, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain how these things worked...[edit]

I landed here by searching for "how does a puquios work". Puquios can supposedly supply water for centuries (reference), but after looking at them and reading this wiki article I still have no idea how they work, how they provide water for centuries, or why they are not working now.
