Thanks for uploading File:USGS modified from pierce, WG., and Rich, E.I. 1962.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. Speedy deletion contested: Salina Group
Hello Zigismon. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Salina Group, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not valid speedy criteria listed. Use other deletion methods instead. Thank you. BangJan1999 18:58, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

Bkissin (talk) 15:45, 23 February 2023 (UTC)Moving to draft
Please read WP:ATD-I before moving articles to draft. The last line there says "Older articles should not be draftified without an AfD consensus, with 90 days a rule of thumb." Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 08:56, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Syracuse Formation, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Syracuse. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:59, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion contested: Lockport Group
Hello Zigismon. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Lockport Group, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Contains sufficient content to be a stub. Thank you. BangJan1999 00:35, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- I politely disagree. This is a cookie cutter template that basically says the same thing 3 times for the same geologic unit. Only altering the location and the name slightly "Lockport Formation" "Lockport Group" and "Lockport Dolomite" I could copy and paste the body of this and change the name to cover almost any clastic unit in the world. Allegany Group
You moved Allegheny Formation to Allegheny Group, which is fine, but you did not rewrite the article to present it as a group. If you do not intend to do that, it should probably be reverted to Formation. There are plenty of sources that list it as such. Jstuby (talk) 22:37, 10 September 2023 (UTC)

Harrell Shale
You have changed the article on the Harrell Shale from a Formation to a Group. All the references in the article state it is a Formation. Please add a reference that states that it is now a Group, or it may get reverted. Jstuby (talk) 18:54, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
Cut-and-paste moves
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. * Pppery * it has begun... 20:44, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
Monongahela Group
I reverted your edit to Monongahela Group because the subject is not notable. We need significant coverage in multiple, independent reliable sources. You could read WP:SPINOUT regarding developing this content in the larger article before attempting a standalone article. Chris Troutman (talk) 18:44, 23 October 2023 (UTC)

Buffalo Wallow Group
Hi there - could I ask you to provide the complete citation for "Malott (1925)" in that article? Currently this reference is all but useless because the reader has next to no chance of finding the text based on the information given. Cheers! --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 14:39, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
Muscatatuck Group
Hello, I thought as much to inquire why the redirect of North Vernon Limestone and Sellersburg Limestone to Muscatatuck Group. There was no page move/ redirect discussion and hence, I have reverted your edits till further notice as the article you merged them to doesn't provide credible sources for verification. Please note that you should not merge such articles except with seeking request for move or redirect. Such can be edit war and may cause block. Happy editing! Otuọcha (talk) 07:14, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- I am attempting to clean up and consolidate articles that contain little or no information. There are many articles that should have never made it out of draft since the information is incomplete and frankly inaccurate. I am working on filling out the information for the groups. Often there are formations that are not really noteworthy outside of their geologic group. Zigismon (talk) 23:43, 15 February 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Boyle Group
Hello Zigismon,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Boyle Group for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
