List of Heroes characters
This is a list of fictional characters in the television series Heroes. The article deals with the series' main, recurring, and minor characters.
Main characters
The show features an ensemble cast of twelve main characters. The NBC Heroes Cast page lists ten characters among the cast, excluding the delayed arrival of one character and a change in status for another as of the eleventh episode.[1]

Lyle Bennet
Lyle Bennet, played by Randall Bentley, is Claire Bennet's younger brother. Lyle finds out about his sister's healing powers by watching a videotape showing her quickly recovering from such otherwise deadly experiences as being hit by a car and falling nearly thirty feet. After confirming his realization by stapling Claire's hand and watching it heal, Lyle locks himself into an SUV with the tape. Only after Claire says that she would have to be taken away if her parents found out, does Lyle finally exit the vehicle and grudgingly hand her the tape.[19] After Claire tells her father that Lyle knew about her powers, Mr. Bennet has the Haitian remove Lyle's memories about her healing abilities.[15]
Sandra Bennet
Sandra Bennet is Claire Bennet's adoptive mother, played by Ashley Crow. She has great affection for her pet pomeranian, Mr. Muggles. She does not seem to be aware of her husband's activities or her daughter's powers, and the Haitian has wiped her memories several times on her husband's orders.[15] However, after Claire met Hank and Lisa, Sandra told Claire that she and Mr. Bennet had tried unsuccessfully to find her biological parents when she was a baby because they thought she might have a rare chromosomal disorder.[20]
In "Distractions", Sandra is confronted by Sylar, who poses as a Primatech employee. He is about to murder her when she is saved by Mr. Bennet and The Haitian, who chase him out of the house. They also, once again, erase her memory of the event, which becomes evident to Claire when Sandra does not recall allowing her to skip school. After this erasure, her memory continues to degrade, as demonstrated by an event where she does not recognize Mr. Muggles or Claire, then a few minutes later has no recollection of the episode. She complains of headaches and sees a neurologist. In "Unexpected", she collapses and is taken to the hospital, where she is diagnosed with a subdural hematoma. Upon her return to the house, she is held hostage with the rest of her family by Matt Parkman and Ted Sprague, and witnesses her daughter's regenerative powers.
After the hostage stand-off, she and her family stay at a hotel. She reveals to Bennet that he had told her everything the previous day, including what happened to Claire. Under her husband's orders, she only pretends that she has lost her memory. As of the episode ".07%" her status and whereabouts are unknown; the shape-shifting Candice Wilmer impersonated her in the episode "Parasite" in order to trick Mr. Bennet into revealing that he'd sent Claire away and it is not yet clear at which point the impersonation actually began.
In the future portrayed in the episode "Five Years Gone", it is revealed that she leaves Mr. Bennet. Claire also used the name "Sandra" as an alias in this episode.
Charles Deveaux
Charles Deveaux, played by Richard Roundtree, is the wealthy father of Simone Deveaux and a former patient of Peter Petrelli. After finding success via the stock market, he founded the Deveaux Society to "fund causes that bettered the world."[21] The Deveaux own the building where some of the story arcs are set. Isaac's studio, the pigeon holes on the roof top are located at the Deveaux Building. Simone believes that Peter is "like a son" to him and that Charles has improved under Peter's care. Charles converses with Peter in the young nurse's dream about having the power of flight. After Peter wakes up, Simone tells Peter that Charles has passed away. Simone also tells Peter that, before dying, Charles said that he had flown with Peter, who said, "everything was going to be all right", and that there were heroes who were going to save the world. Charles is expected to return in some capacity during the heroes finale.[21]
Meredith Gordon
Meredith Gordon, played by Jessalyn Gilsig, is the biological mother of Claire Bennet. She first appeared in "The Fix", in which she exhibits pyrokinetic abilities. According to a newspaper article found by Zach and Claire, Meredith and her 18-month-old baby were reported to have died in a fire 14 years ago. The backstory is revealed in the 22nd graphic novel "Hell's Angel": in 1992, Mr. Bennet and Claude came to retrieve her, and it was Meredith who started the fire. Bennet leaves holding the baby Claire and later adopts her. After the fire, Meredith lived in Mexico for a while before moving to Kermit, Texas. In "Distractions", Claire skips school to meet with Meredith for the first time on the show. Afterwards, Meredith contacts Claire's biological father, Nathan Petrelli, to notify him of their daughter's survival. In the episode "Run!", Claire meets with Meredith again, wanting to see her father. Meredith tells her not to rely on her father for anything other than money, "because it's easy". Meredith says that Nathan is giving them $50,000, with Claire entitled to half. (Meredith actually made a deal with Nathan for $100,000). Then she tells Nathan that Claire had come hoping that Nathan would take her away, and Nathan agrees with her sending Claire away before the meeting which Claire finally overheard.
Virginia Gray
Virginia Gray, played by Ellen Greene, is Sylar's mother. She appears in the episode "The Hard Part", during which Sylar visits her. She is a devout Christian, and has an affinity for snowglobes. During their meeting, she constantly pushes Sylar to "be special," even saying that he could become President if he wanted to. Sylar reveals his powers, accidentally injuring his mother, and confesses his guilt since he thinks he will be the exploding man and kill a lot of people. Both instances only alienate the two, and Virginia demands that Sylar leave her house and give back her son Gabriel. She brandishes a pair of scissors at Sylar, but is accidentally stabbed in the heart when they struggle for the scissors.
Kaito Nakamura
Kaito Nakamura, played by George Takei, is a stern and powerful businessman in Japan and the father of Hiro Nakamura. He first appears in "The Fix" when his subordinate abducts Hiro and Ando. Described as a man with "real power" by his underlings, Mr. Nakamura does not want Hiro going around the United States trying to fulfill his "destiny". Nakamura and his daughter Kimiko, Hiro's sister, also appeared in "Distractions". In "Company Man", it is discovered that Kaito worked with Thompson. He ordered Mr. Bennet to adopt Claire on the proviso that if she exhibits any abilities she is to be turned over to The Company. In reference to Takei's role as Hikaru Sulu in the original Star Trek television series, the license plate on Mr. Nakamura's limousine has the registration number NCC*1701, the same as that of the Starship Enterprise. He is also set to return in "Landslide", with a preview for the episode showing him with Hiro and holding a katana. It is also revealed that he has known of Hiro's powers for a long time and saying that he had allies who also had powers. Mr. Linderman is speculated to be one of the allies.
Kimiko Nakamura
Kimiko Nakamura, played by Saemi Nakamura, is the daughter of Kaito and older sister of Hiro. She is very intelligent and motivated, and wishes to advance in her father's company, Yamagato Industries. In "Distractions", she accompanies her father to New York to retrieve Hiro. She gets along with her brother, in comparison to his and their father's strained relationship, as evidenced by the way Kimiko's pleas and reasoning get much further than Kaito's authoritative tactics (up to and including kidnapping).
The Nakamuras need Hiro in Japan because he is the only son in the family, Kaito's heir and someday successor as CEO. Kaito offers to make Hiro Executive Vice President. Hiro accepts, then immediately announces a string of horrendous business decisions, quite deliberately goading Kimiko to make objections that demonstrate her competence. Hiro convinces their father that Yamagato has a successor in her. They part ways in peace, with a wide smile on Kimiko's face.
As a good-looking woman, she is an instant target of Ando's affections, but shows no sign of acknowledging them.
Janice Parkman
Janice Parkman, portrayed by Lisa Lackey, is the wife of telepathic police officer Matt Parkman. Their marriage has been troubled for some time, with both becoming increasingly distant. Janice blames their problems over his jealousy of her prospering career while his has been stalling. However, when Matt disappears for a day, she is truly worried about him. Matt then tries to fulfill her every need by reading her thoughts to improve their marriage. At first she thinks that he must have been cheating on her for him to be so attentive, but she is ultimately delighted by his efforts. However, Matt discovers that she had an affair with his ex-partner, leaving them both wondering whether their marriage is now over. Two weeks later, Matt tells Janice of his ability to read minds. After this revelation, the pair's marriage and relationship begins to mend. When Matt gets a six month suspension for his rogue actions at work, she provides him with emotional support and reveals that she is pregnant.
In the future of "Five Years Gone", it is revealed Janice and Matt bore a son whom they named Matthew and who presumably also has special powers. In the alternate future, Mr. Bennet had been running a relocation program for people with special powers, and had been in contact with Janice and Matthew Jr., as part of some arrangement with Matt Sr.
"Dallas" Petrelli
"Dallas" Petrelli is the deceased father of Nathan Petrelli and Peter Petrelli, and through Nathan, the biological grandfather of Claire Bennet. He fought in the Vietnam War alongside "Austin" Linderman and was the first of his unit to know about Linderman's healing powers. After the war, Petrelli and Linderman decided to form a group that would help the world. In "Landslide", Linderman reveals to Nathan that his father had special abilities as well. However, after doing all he could, he became dissillusioned and promptly gave up trying to save the world.
Heidi Petrelli
Heidi Petrelli, played by Rena Sofer, is Nathan Petrelli's wife and is involved with his strategies for his bid for congressional office. She first appears in "Nothing to Hide". She uses a wheelchair for mobility after being paralyzed in a car crash six months ago caused by Linderman's accomplices while Nathan was driving. Nathan, while trying to control the car, suddenly found himself flying for the first time. Tragically, he couldn't figure out how to get back down to his car and the car crashed into a highway barrier. During a brunch set up by her mother-in-law, an invited journalist implies that Nathan may have cheated on her with a blonde during his trip to Las Vegas to see Mr. Linderman. She doubts Peter's story with an innocent explanation of the woman, but when Nathan confirms it in private, she believes him. Heidi says that she is determined to recover but only if Nathan is true to her. Heidi remained unseen for most of the season. She did, however, return to the Petrelli mansion in Manhattan with her and Nathan's two sons, Monty and Simon in "The Hard Part". Heidi has yet to meet Claire and is currently unaware that she exists and that she is Nathan's illegitimate daughter. Even though his men reportedly put her in this condition, in "Landslide", Linderman is at Nathan's house. He tells Heidi that everything will be all right. He then grabs her hand, and after holding it for a while, he walks away. Later, Nathan sees Heidi's foot move, and she excitedly stands up and hugs Nathan.
Hal Sanders
Hal Sanders, played by Graham Beckel, is the estranged father of Niki and Jessica Sanders. When the girls were younger, Hal was an abusive alcoholic. While both of them were beaten, Jessica took the brunt of Hal's abuse to protect Niki. When Jessica was ten or eleven years old, Hal strangled her to death. Niki somehow lost recollection of her childhood and only remembered that Hal eventually left her. Years later, Hal attempted to reconnect with his only remaining daughter, who was now a wife and mother. He offered much of the money he had made in the stock market to help Niki and her husband, D.L. Hawkins, raise their son, Micah Sanders. However, Hal later showed himself to be the same short-tempered man he has always been and was not accepted into the family's life. Later Niki's alternate personality, calling itself "Jessica", beat Hal up, gave him back the money he offered and told him never to come back.
Chandra Suresh
Chandra Suresh is Mohinder's late father, played by Erick Avari (although a photograph of him and Mohinder seen in "Genesis" shows a different actor). Suresh is the author of Activating Evolution, a book which appears to explain the reason so many people with powers are suddenly appearing. He found a means of tracking and locating potential powered people. He was also connected with Sylar, whom he referred to as "Patient Zero". On a taped telephone conversation from shortly before Chandra's death, however, he said he wanted nothing to do with Sylar, and insisted the man stop calling him. Before his death, Chandra kept a male lizard named Mohinder.
According to a dream Mohinder had, Chandra was killed while sitting in the driver's seat of his cab by a man wearing a watch, which was stopped at 11:53, a watch which Sylar is often seen wearing. Eden McCain, Chandra's one-time neighbor, claimed Sylar was his murderer. Sylar later claimed that Chandra became very close to him at one time and shared things he felt Mohinder was too "fragile" to know, including information on his sister.
Shanti Suresh
Shanti Suresh is Chandra Suresh's daughter. She died at age five, before the series began. This severely affected her father, as the two were very close. In "Six Months Ago" Chandra Suresh said she had a genetic anomaly. Her death, along with several other factors, prompted him to begin his investigations into people with special powers. It is yet unknown what Shanti's special abilities were, if any. In "Parasite", Sylar mentions that Chandra had told him about Shanti. In The Hard Part, some of Shanti's history is revealed. It is revealed that she died while Mohinder Suresh was still in the womb. Mohinder's blood actually possessed the antibodies Shanti needed to survive, but she died before he was born.
Tina
"Texas" Tina, played by Deirdre Quinn, is the romance-novel-loving confidante of Niki Sanders who frequently takes care of Niki's son, Micah, and attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings with Niki. When Niki confided in Tina about having blackouts and possibly an alternate personality, Tina told her that her troubles stem from psychological damage as a result of her dealings with the mob. In "Better Halves", Tina finally meets and flees from Niki's alternate personality, Jessica, after Micah is taken away by D.L. Hawkins.
Zach
Zach, played by Thomas Dekker, is a high school classmate of Claire Bennet and one of the first people to know of her powers. Zach's MySpace profile describes him as an 18-year-old sophomore who is a Wiccan and unsure of his sexual orientation, a subject which forms the basis of ridicule by some of Claire's fellow cheerleaders. Though it was originally intended for Zach to be gay, Dekker’s management "didn’t want him to be playing a gay character" for career reasons, and his storyline was later changed.[22][23][24][1]
In "Genesis", he videotapes Claire using her abilities. In "Homecoming", he tells Claire that he helped her win the Homecoming Queen election by campaigning for her amongst the "unpopular" crowd. He also gives her a book written by Chandra Suresh, which he says details information on her power. Claire is overwhelmed and later punches Jackie when she makes homophobic comments towards Zach. After Claire is grounded, Zach enters her bedroom using a ladder and convinces her to come to the Homecoming game.
After Claire tells her father that Zach knows about her powers, Mr. Bennet has the Haitian make him forget about his relationship with Claire and her powers. When Claire approaches him the following day, Zach doesn't remember having even spoken to her since sixth grade. Nevertheless, Claire convinces Zach to videotape her again in "Godsend" and is able to rekindle their friendship. Zach subsequently helps Claire track down her biological parents while also helping to keep her actions secret from her adopted parents.
Primatech employees
Hank and Lisa
Hank, played by Colby French, and Lisa, played by Karri Turner, claim to be a former couple and Claire Bennet's biological parents in "Better Halves". Mr. Bennet tells Claire that he has arranged through an adoption agency for Hank and his former girlfriend, Lisa, to meet Claire and answer her questions. Hank and Lisa tell Claire that they were high school sweethearts who split up before her birth. Hank wanted to keep Claire, while Lisa wanted to give her up for adoption. Hank tells Claire that he has a family history of heart disease and cancer, while Lisa reveals that she has diabetes, but neither tell Claire anything that explains how she got her healing powers. However, after the meeting, Mr. Bennet thanks Hank and Lisa for their assistance in a conspiratorial manner, and he later tells Isaac Mendez a story not involving Hank or Lisa about how Claire became his adopted daughter. In the episode "Godsend", it is revealed that Hank is actually a doctor working with Mr. Bennet to perform tests on Sylar. In "The Fix", Hank is killed by Sylar, who then escapes from containment at Primatech.
Thompson
Thompson, played by Eric Roberts, is an associate of Mr. Bennet at Primatech. This is a cover for his position as Bennet's superior in the as yet unnamed organization which investigates superhumans. The character was first mentioned in Wireless part two and was introduced in the graphic novel "How do you Stop an Exploding Man?" part two. His first appearance in the show was in the episode "Company Man," mostly seen in flashbacks of Mr. Bennett's past dealings with "The Company," but also getting a brief cameo at the end of the episode where he is seen shooting Ted Sprague in the shoulder, causing him to lose control of his explosive power, and expressing interest in Claire Bennet's complete recovery from her exposure to Ted's overload. Thompson is portrayed as a man who plays by the rules and takes his orders very seriously. In the episode ".07%", Thompson informs Mr. Bennet that he is on death row and that he is just waiting for the order to kill him. His later appearances show him recruiting Mohinder Suresh into the company, and informing Mohinder of Molly Walker's condition.
Back at Primatech, Matt Parkman is able to extract the name Linderman from Thompson's head. When Parkman questioned Mr. Bennet as to whether or not Linderman was who they worked for, Bennet seemed totally oblivious to the fact that Linderman had any connections to the company. In "The Hard Part," during a conversation with Nathan Petrelli, Thompson reveals that he knows and approves of the plans to blow up New York. When Nathan implies that Linderman doesn't have the situation under control, Thompson reassures him that Linderman does. Thompson gets his orders from Linderman.
Most of "The Company's" interactions took place at Primatech paper, however, its current operations are taking place at Kirby Plaza in New York, including Micah Sanders project and Molly Walker's project.
He is shot in the head by Mr. Bennet while attempting to kill Matt Parkman.
Members of the Linderman Group
Aron Malsky
Aron Malsky, played by Kevin Chamberlin, is a lawyer formerly under the employ of the mysterious Mr. Linderman. He is first seen in "Godsend" when he visits D.L. Hawkins to retrieve the case of money stolen by Niki/Jessica. He later visits Niki in "Distractions" in the psych ward to notify her of her release, due to someone else supposedly confessing to her crimes. In "Run!," Matt Parkman becomes his personal bodyguard for the day while he's in California. Malsky then uses the two million dollars he retrieved from D.L. to buy diamonds for himself. Matt hears the jeweler's thoughts of a hitman sent by Linderman and tries to rush Malsky out of the building. The two are confronted by Jessica, and a chase ensues which ends with Jessica murdering Malsky by ripping his body in half.
Brian, Kelly, and Walter
Brian, Kelly, and Walter are among those who work for Linderman on the "logic bomb" to elect Nathan Petrelli to Congress. Brian is the main programmer and Kelly is his subordinate. They communicate through video conferences viewable on Hana Gitelman's blog. After Hana began to decode the logic bomb, Kelly discovered something was wrong but was reluctant to admit any breach to Linderman.
Walter is the current mayor of New York that is campaigning for another term. As the mayor he is overseeing the project to ensure there are no problems. He does not work for Mr. Linderman, this is shown by Brian, Kelly, and even Mr. Linderman trying to prove to Walter everything is working with the election system.
Sylar's victims
Charlie Andrews
Charlene "Charlie" Andrews, played by Jayma Mays, is a waitress at the Burnt Toast Diner in Midland, Texas, where Hiro Nakamura and Ando Masahashi stop to eat on their road trip to New York. After she revealed to Hiro that she had recently developed a near perfect ability to quickly memorize any information, Sylar murders her in the diner's storeroom, removing her brain in the same manner as Sylar's other victims.[25] Hiro tries to prevent her murder by going back in time one day to warn her, but he accidentally goes back six months, to April 24 (Charlie's birthday). He convinces Charlie that both he and she have special powers by stopping time to make one thousand origami cranes . After taking a job at the diner and dating Charlie, Hiro buys two tickets to take her to Japan. Charlie ponders her feelings and tells Hiro that while she doesn't usually let people get close to her due to a blood clot in her brain that is killing her, he makes her feel happy and she loves him. However, when Hiro and Charlie are about to kiss, he is inadvertently teleported back to present day Japan and is unable to return.[11]
Mohinder Suresh later mentions the death of Charlene Andrews in Midland, Texas while talking on the phone about the list of names he found on his father's computer.
Brian Davis
Brian Davis, played by David Berman, is first seen in "Six Months Ago". When he revealed his telekinetic ability to Sylar, he was killed by Sylar, making him the first of several victims.

Dale Smither
Dale Smither, played by Rusty Schwimmer, is a superpowered middle-aged woman introduced in the episode "Unexpected". She works in a garage near Bozeman, Montana, where Mohinder and Sylar (impersonating Zane Taylor) meet her to discuss her ability. She describes her super hearing powers, saying that she can hear a rain storm from 40 miles away and the slightest change in someone's heart beat. Dale listens to rap to drown out many unwanted sounds, saying that it helps her to nullify her power. She is murdered by Sylar shortly after their meeting.
Zane Taylor
Zane Taylor, played by Ethan Cohn, seen in "Run!", is the first person to respond to Mohinder's calls when Mohinder resumes his father's research. Zane leaves a phone message on Mohinder's answering machine, inviting him to Virginia Beach to talk; however, Sylar arrives first and impersonates Mohinder. After an anxious Zane displays his ability of molecular manipulation, Sylar kills him. When Mohinder arrives later on, Sylar impersonates Zane and demonstrates Zane's power to liquify the toaster instantly. When Mohinder asks for a DNA sample, Sylar swabs a sample from inside the cheek of Zane's corpse. According to the article reporting his death, Zane is a musician.
James Walker
James Walker, father of Molly Walker, is seen briefly in "Don't Look Back" when his murdered body is discovered by police and FBI Investigators - he is frozen, his head is cut open, and his brain is missing, giving the viewers their first visual of what is to become Sylar's gruesome pattern. The cut-open head and missing brain are eventually discovered to be Sylar's treatment of those with powers rather than those without[11], suggesting that James had a power that Sylar coveted, though it is not known what power he possessed.
Jackie Wilcox
Jacqueline "Jackie" Wilcox, played by Danielle Savre, is a cheerleader and high school classmate of Claire Bennet. Although she claimed to be "BFF" (best friends forever) with Claire and once revealed plans to run for class president with "good deeds" as her platform, Jackie is an obnoxious rival and dramatic foil for Claire. Jackie repeatedly taunted Zach about his sexual orientation. She is also apparently jealous of Claire and Brody Mitchum, who described Jackie as a gossip. Jackie is eager to be the center of attention and took credit for a fire rescue Claire performed in "Genesis". In "Homecoming", Sylar mistook Jackie for Claire after having read of Jackie's faked heroism and killed her by telekinetically slicing open her skull. Jackie's last word, to Claire, was "Run".
Other characters
Steve R. Gustavson
Steve R. Gustavson, played by Bill Fagerbakke, is a member of the Federal Gaming Commission in Las Vegas. He is introduced in "Run!" and further developed in "Unexpected". Hiro Nakamura and Ando Masahashi meet a crying showgirl named Hope, who claims to have had a bag containing her personal belongings stolen by her ex-boyfriend. Ando tells her that they will retrieve her bag for her and is directed to Gustavson's room. After a disagreement, Hiro and Ando split up. Ando retrieves the bag successfully, while Hiro overhears Hope speaking to someone on the phone about how she duped them into stealing the bag for her. She catches Hiro eavesdropping and locks him in a closet, making off with Ando and the bag. Hiro is then apprehended by Gustavson, and the two pursue Hope and Ando. Steve emphasizes to an optimistic Hiro the negative aspects of having a partner, possibly influencing his decision to send Ando back to Japan. When the two groups converge, Gustavson demands "my share" from Hope, referring to the bag full of casino chips. The two engage in a violent shootout while Hiro and Ando find themselves caught in the middle, but they are soon arrested by the Las Vegas Police.
Audrey Hanson
Audrey Hanson is an FBI agent, played by Clea DuVall, pursuing Sylar. Three months after Sylar begins his murder spree, Audrey catches sight of him in Chicago, but he eludes her by escaping on a subway after giving his cap and trenchcoat to an elderly man, whom Audrey shoots, mistaking him for Sylar.[26]
While investigating the murder of a family in Los Angeles three months later, Audrey initially becomes suspicious of Officer Matt Parkman when he finds the only survivor, Molly Walker, in a hidden room and then reveals that he knows the name of her suspect, Sylar. However, when Parkman convinces Hanson that he learned of these things through his telepathy, she asks him to help the FBI find Sylar. Later, Sylar unsuccessfully attempts to seize the girl from FBI custody. During his escape, Audrey is almost forced to shoot herself because of the man's telekinetic abilities but is saved when Parkman intervenes.[27]
Audrey again requests the aid of Officer Parkman when she suspects that Sylar has killed again. She takes Parkman to the morgue, where they examine the body of a dead oncologist who was burned alive. Audrey is exposed to a dangerously high amount of radiation while investigating the house of Theodore Sprague, whom she believes to be Sylar. She and Parkman find Sprague in the hospital with his dying wife, but Parkman persuades him to surrender.[19] However, Sprague escapes after being taken into custody by Homeland Security, and she again enlists Parkman's aid in hunting him down.[25] Audrey began to bond with Matt, to the extent of giving him advice on his relationship with his wife, though the episode "Fallout" also suggests that she was also becoming attracted to him.[15] Two weeks later in "Godsend", Audrey and Matt have the FBI raid Primatech Paper Company. However, they find nothing. Audrey's superior then threatens her position with the bureau. Disheartened, Audrey harshly tells Matt their partnership is over. Audrey re-appears in the penultimate episode for the season and arrests Sprague on a tip by Sylar using the name Isaac Mendez.

Hope, played by Missi Pyle, is a tall, blonde showgirl who works in Mr. Linderman's hotel. She is first seen in "Run!", where she meets Hiro Nakamura and Ando Masahashi and uses Ando's attraction to her to convince them to retrieve a bag from her alleged ex-boyfriend in one of the hotel rooms. However, the man in possession of the bag, Steve R. Gustavson, claims to be an agent of the State Gaming Commission. When Hiro overhears that she is just playing them to get the bag back she knocks him out and locks him in a closet. Hope's true intentions are revealed later due to Ando accidentally dumping out the contents of her bag, revealing numerous casino chips. She and Gustavson (revealed to be her partner in crime) have a heated confrontation over the casino chips with Hiro and Ando caught in the crossfire of the bullets. She is about to shoot Ando when Hiro reverses time, causing the bullet to change direction. She is bewildered at what happened but is instantly tackled by Gustavson. They are interrupted in their fight, as the police arrive and arrest her and her partner.
Sanjog Iyer
Sanjog Iyer, played by Javin Reid, is an Indian boy whom Chandra Suresh had been observing prior to leaving for New York. Chandra's notes described Iyer as having a genetic marker allowing the boy to enter people's dreams, where he acts as a "spirit guide" of sorts. He appeared in the visions that Mohinder Suresh experienced after returning to India with his father's ashes. After Mohinder found Sanjog, he explained to Mohinder that he does not enter the dreams of others but that they instead come to him.
- Note: In "Seven Minutes to Midnight", the name on the file's label included a comma as a typo. On the NBC website, Suresh's Map spells the name Sanjop Iyer. The episode "Homecoming" confirms the boy's name is Sanjog Iyer.
Brody Mitchum
Brody Mitchum, played by Matt Lanter, is a classmate of Claire Bennet and quarterback on the football team at the fictional Union Wells High School. He first appears in "Don't Look Back". During a celebratory bonfire in "One Giant Leap", Brody and Claire wander off to the bleachers, where Brody attempts to rape Claire. He accidentally kills her during the struggle, and in "Collision" he is shaken to see her alive again. After Claire discovers that Brody has raped at least one other girl, she convinces him to let her drive them both home in his car but then rams the car headfirst into a brick wall. The on-line comic story for the episode reveals that Claire only wanted to frighten Brody into thinking twice before hurting anyone else, and she drags his unconscious body from the car when it catches fire and ultimately explodes.[28] When he wakes up and sees Claire unharmed, he realizes that she isn't a normal human being. After learning of the attempted rape of his daughter, an enraged Mr. Bennet has his associate, the Haitian, wipe out all of Brody’s memory. Brody, severely injured, is later seen in a wheelchair attending Homecoming.
Molly Walker
Molly Walker, played by Adair Tishler, is a little girl whose parents have been murdered by a serial killer believed to be Sylar. She first appears in "Don't Look Back". After her parents' murder, she is found by police officer Matt Parkman, who overhears her thinking. He follows her thoughts to a hidden panel under a staircase barricaded by furniture. Molly's dead mother is suspended five feet off the floor, pinned flat to a staircase banister by numerous knives. Molly's dead father, James,[29] is seated at a table, frozen solid, with his skull sliced open and his brain removed. In "One Giant Leap" Molly has been taken to FBI headquarters in Los Angeles, where Sylar breaks in and tries to drag her away; however, she is again saved by Matt with the help of FBI Agent Audrey Hanson. In "Five Years Gone", she is mentioned to be one of the Heroes under Mr. Bennet's care.
In "The Hard Part" it is revealed that she has the ability to mentally track anyone in the world, just by thinking about them, and is used as the Company's "Walker Tracking System" that Mr. Bennet, Matt Parkman, and Ted Sprague are attempting to "shut down". However, she couldn't use her ability due to a neuro-degrading virus, similar to the virus that killed Shanti Suresh, but has now regained her powers, since Mohinder Suresh had found a cure by using antibodies found in his own blood and has treated Molly virus. Molly is referenced in the Heroes 360 experience in an email by Hiro Nakamura that appears to be from the future. He says he had "found Molly Walker", and was searching for "others like her".
Dr. Witherson
Dr. Witherson, played by Paula Newsome, is a prison psychiatrist assigned to Niki Sanders. Her stated goal is to reintegrate the two halves of Niki's personality. Through mild hypnosis, she manages to reach Niki's more aggressive side, Jessica. Rather than cooperate with treatment, Jessica broke free of her restraints and brutally beat Dr. Witherson, breaking her wrist and repeatedly attacking her with a taser.It is unknown if she is dead or alive.
