Sales Update
Why hasn't the 360 sales data been updated?(It's still at April)
- Videogamer is reporting that XBOX360 has hit 6 million in sales in Europe.[1] Simcoe (talk) 19:23, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Media Remote in Oceania
I live in Australia, and My mates who bought the 360 Pro all received remotes instead of a headset, like in the article, however I bought a Pro yesterday (25.4.08) and received a headset like in other regions. It was a new shipment and is the PAL version, AND it says it on the box. I think this means that the package has changed, so I will remove the detail in the chart until proven otherwise.--Peeto87 (talk) 05:09, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Adding Rumored Hardware Stuff
Despite it being pretty well reported we can't put un-official rumor information in the article until it becomes official.
That means the Jasper, Opus and Vahalla Motherboard designs, the Newton Motion sensative controller, the 60 Gig hard drive, and the external Blu-Ray drive (if they get a blu-ray drive it is NOT going to be internal) --8bitJake (talk) 19:52, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Halo 3
Shouldn't there be a little more info on Halo 3 here than there is? That's like the title game for Xbox360. Razor Rozar7 (talk) 19:07, 7 May 2008 (UTC) no because halo 3 is a seperate product. imo there shouldnt be anything on halo 3 at all other than "it is the best selling game for this console" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.210.131.30 (talk) 14:50, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
First to reach 10 million in sales
The claim made by Microsoft that the 360 is the first to reach sales of 10 Million in the US is not true. In Nintendo's consolidated financial statements for the fiscal years ending March '07 and March '08, the total number of Wiis sold in "The Americas" is 10,610,000 Carpeamentum (talk) 13:48, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- The US is not the same as "The Americas". Check a map, I'm not even kidding, there is much more than the US in North and South America. Enjoy your new-found knowledge. 24.72.113.212 (talk) 20:01, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
xbox 360 errors
i would like to see much more information on the failure rate of the "360" systems, and other malfunctions that had been reported.

Discussion on Xbox 360 modding
This page makes no mention of the xbox 360 modding scene as far as I can tell. It should explain what is required (flashing the DVD drive's firmware), how this differs from the original Xbox and what Microsoft has done to try to prevent this. --Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 03:15, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
System memory: Why is it left out?
I noticed that the specifications in the infobox don't specify anything about system memory.
The Xbox 360 has 512MB of GDDR3 RAM clocked at 700MHz and has a Unified Memory Architecture; it should be part of that infobox. Memory is a crucial component to any system, be it a server, home PC or game console. To leave this information out just seems silly.
I tried to edit it in myself, but it does not appear in the infobox when I preview. Someone please do this. User918 (talk) 18:09, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Memory Card size for Arcade Bundle
Hey, I can't edit this page but recently the 360 Arcade bundle started coming with 512MB memory cards as opposed to the old 256MB memory cards. The article should be updated to reflect this change. 71.7.244.180 (talk) 23:11, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
360 revisions
The article is missing a section, where it specifies the differences between the motherboards(xenon, zephyr, & falcon), and info about all the dvd drives (samsung, hitachi, & benq). So we know which 360 we have or which one is the current. . --MarioV (talk) 22:11, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
reception section?
why is there no section talking about the console's reception, as is present in the other 7th generation console's articles here on wikipedia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.81.124.118 (talk) 06:28, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. As with the Playstation 3 section, and the Wii section, this page or the sales page should include the production costs of the XBOX360 compared to the sales costs. While it mentions that Microsoft is taking a loss, it does not include a specific cost of each unit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jcook5 (talk • contribs) 16:20, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Wired controllers
I noticed that the controller input is labeled as "4 maximum (wired or wireless or combination of either)" but this is incorrect as you can only have three wired controllers plugged in at any one time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.155.203.16 (talk) 22:15, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- If you get a USB splitter, then you can hook up four. Someone correct me if im wrong. Dvferret (talk) 19:30, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Redundancy in the Technical Failure section
'"General Hardware Failure" is recognized by three adjacent quadrants of the ring flashing red.' Three quadrants of a circle have to be adjacent, i would recommend removing the word adjacent from the sentence above. Davebo (talk) 22:29, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- True, and so I removed the word ajacent in the article, thanks. Only if three other segments can be lit to indicate another error, then maybe we need to reword this sentence. But I don't think there is another error code with three lit segments. Mahjongg (talk) 00:13, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

new advert coming?
i was recently asked to participate in a paid survey in which i was shown clips of various existing adverts such as a red bull one and for some reason a virtual tour of a supermarket, and then an advert that was obviously still in planning stages as it was just a few still images with a voiceover. but in the advert, it had a little 2.4 family sitting round on the sofa while a man voiceover said something about how the entertainment they are recieving is like a "spark igniting a petrol soaked firework factory" but not showing what they're watching, then it shows a womans shocked face and then her playing guitar hero, then a kid watching bee movie, then the kid and dad playing monopoly on a tv and then it shows that little xbox 360 logo and sound everyone knows. the advert implied that xbox is shifting their focus onto family entertainment in a similar vain to the wii and focusing more on everything else it can do as well as playing games. a new marketing scheme. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.210.131.30 (talk) 22:48, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- interesting, but we can't include this in the article per WP:NOR. –xenocidic (talk) 23:15, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
oh i know.just thought it'd be interesting for people to know. i forgot to mention i was also asked to keep the whole thing quiet like one of those NDA's but i guess i broke that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.210.131.30 (talk) 15:38, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

HDMI 1.3?
Under connectivity on the page should it now include HDMI 1.3? which now comes as standard? —Preceding unsigned comment added by James3797 (talk • contribs) 23:09, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- I would probably say yes but put an (as of xx/xx/2008) or some such. –xenocidic (talk) 23:15, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Changed data about 20 gig
I made a couple of edits on the comparison page. I changed the price to $299 now that it's official and changed the HDD size back to 20. Somebody else has to make a new 60 gig section when it comes out.Maxtro (talk) 18:45, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- I have included both the 60 and 20 HDD in the premium since it is now official from Microsoft as well as some other edits regarding the comparison page. I didnt think a new column was needed. Dvferret (talk) 19:02, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Future section
I think we need a section about all the planned updates that were announced at E3 today. Some of the things that should be included are the new dashboard, the "avatars", netflix integration etc... There is an announcement here [4] UKWikiGuy (talk) 20:46, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

"The Xbox 360's graphical user interface GUI is the Xbox 360 Dashboard;" that's so dumb! Graphic User Interface is GUI!, GUI is the abbreviated name for Graphics User Interface. Its like saying: I signed up for Information Technology IT course"
And for the new dashboard look, the GUI itself, resembles XBMC, not I-Tunes:/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.155.31.47 (talk) 18:21, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Autumn 2008
Perhaps a bit pedantic but, "The new look Xbox 360 comes into effect after an Autumn 2008 update." - Shouldn't it be a bit more general? I mean, it's not actually Autumn in Australia, it'll be Spring. Perhaps it should say something like, after the September update, although I guess that assumes that it will be in September... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.45.176.247 (talk) 10:54, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Laughable Sales Data
Cumulative sales from the system's launch until June 30, 2007 were predicted to reach 12 million units, down from 13 to 15 million units estimated earlier. Being released one year ahead of its competitors, the Xbox 360 was the market leader throughout the first half of 2007. However on September 12, 2007, it was reported by the Financial Times that the Xbox 360 had been surpassed by the Wii in terms of worldwide console sales.[104] On October 4, 2007, soon after the launch of Halo 3, Microsoft stated that Xbox 360 sales had more than doubled compared to the previous average.[105]
Based on figures from October 19, 2007, the Xbox 360 outsold the Wii for the month of September in North America, helped in part by the spike in sales seen after the launch of Halo 3, which sold 3.3 million copies in the United States in a 12-day period.[106] The Xbox had sales of 528,000 units for September, while the Wii had sales of 501,000 units.[107]
Is it really that much of interest that the xbox had one month where it sales was higher than wii? At all other month the wii sales are mostly three times the xbox360 sales. At the moment, the week after the xbox360 price cute, the xbox sales doubled (101.000 Xbox to 159.000 Wii sold last week http://vgchartz.com/aweekly.php) like they did in europe after the price cut, but only for a week. I think the same will happen in the US. Even the in the US unloved PS3 has month with sales higher than the xbox360.
Hey, igit, it's Xbox 360, not xbox360. Try not to sound like a Sony and Nintendo-fanboy on an 'independant' site. Schmuck. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.134.108.9 (talk) 23:15, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
It's obvious that MS-Marketing people are created parts of this article.
- Yes, obviously, people would never want to know about interesting spikes in sales of the console at the same time of the release of a long-anticipated 360 game. I would understand that people researching this topic would find this fully-sourced information to be unhelpful and counterproductive. — OranL (talk) 17:02, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Virtua Fighter 5 was not released simultaneously with the PS3 version, it was released months later. Please remove this from the list.75.21.149.114 (talk) 00:48, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
BDROM DENIED and Smaller Case Version???
If internal/external bluray has been OFFICALLY DENIED by MICROSOFT, MULTIPLE times then why is it mentioned in the article as if it is going to happen? And then the smaller case version? Another rumor. So why are we mentioning it??? :) Dvferret (talk) 02:02, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

I got the older premium set around 2006 I think, and it only had 12 gigabytes. Shouldn't this be mentioned somewhere?Moocowsrule (talk) 03:28, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Moocowsule

Revision of the Entire Article
After a quick overview of the entire article, I noticed many sections that need revision because of being updated after the Xbox 360 premium (60 GB) was released and the price was cut. Alec92 (talk) 17:15, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

SImpsons special edition was not a 10 console batch.
Please someone fix the article. It says that 10 Simpsons Movie themed Xbox consoles were produced, citing a Fox source. This information is false, because here in Chile there was a television contest which gave out a brand new Simpsons Movie Xbox. I suppose that the situation is similar for other countries with official Xbox presence.

European price drops
{{editsemiprotected}}
This article still says that the Elite costs 369.99 euros, the Pro 269.99 and the Arcade 199.99 euros. This is not true - at least not in Belgium and the Netherlands, I don't know about other European countries. Currently, the standard price of the Elite is €299.99, the Pro €239.99 and the Arcade €179.99.
