The 58th Annual Miss USA pageant will be held April 19, 2009, at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The winner will be crowned by outgoing titleholder Miss USA 2008, Crystle Stewart of Texas.
All 50 states plus the District of Columbia are expected to compete. The winner will be the representative for Miss USA at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in Croatia.
Beginning in June 2008 and ending in January 2009, state delegations will hold their pageants to select their representatives.
