The 2009 FIFA Club World Cup is a football tournament planned for December 2009. It will be the 6th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup and will be hosted by Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.[1] Other countries that placed bids were Australia and Japan. Portugal had initially placed a bid, but later withdrew from the process.[2]
