Stone Cold/JR

"Steve Austin was told he was going to do the job for Jonathan Coachman on Saturday and refused. Apparently he also found out that Jim Ross also wasn't returning as Raw announcer despite how the angle was playing on television."

Torrie Wilson & Joey Styles

Are you sure that Torrie Wilson is released? Seems as if WWE shot down those internet rumors, recently WWE has been upfront about firings (i.e. Christian), so why would they say Torrie is NOT released? Maybe she IS just taking some time off, if WWE says so, I would believe them.

Joey Styles not, in his new interview at WWE.Com, he notes that he is under WWE contract as a commentator, just letting you know for confirmation, you can read yourself.

Why?

May I ask why you are leaving Wikipedia? Esperanza has no hope of resolving it if we don't know why. You're a valued contributor and person; there's not need to leave... --Celestianpower háblame 21:54, 2 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

C'mon Dave

Stick in there. Don't let a couple of editors get you down. Everyone has a bad day once in awhile, and I'm sure you'll be fine in a few days. Take a pause and a deep breath. Relax and find your way back this way again in a little bit and I'm sure you'll feel better about WP. See you around my friend. --LV (Dark Mark) 22:28, 2 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Umm... have you forgotten what this project is? This is one of the greatest undertakings that the Internet, and maybe human knowledge, has ever known. It would be a shame to lose another good editor. Perhaps you might try editing in areas that you have'nt been before and meet some new people. There are lots of us good ones out here. --LV (Dark Mark) 22:32, 2 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded, try to take a break, as we all know how irritating Wikipedia can get from time to time, and come back soon. Please, wikipedia cant survive if all of the good editors such as yourself leave, come back please! Banes 11:38, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Are you going to take a break and come back in a few days time? Banes 21:22, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'm really sorry to hear that. Anyway cheers and good luck with all of your endevours in the real world, hope to see you back here some day. All the best Banes 21:28, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to hear it!

Its great to have you back, what wonders a break can do! And yes, I read your last edit summary, it is fitting of what can happen here sometimes. I myself am overdue for a break soon. I know this sounds plain stupid, but the stress alerts list made me almost feel like leaving wikipedia myself. Anyway, its good to see you! Cheers Banes 16:48, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your sig

You might need to fix your sig. On your post to Purplefeltangel's talk page, your greening of the Esperanza e made my text all green! I have no problems with the sig, just you might want to put a </font> tag (or two) in, just to be sure. Anyways, I thought it was nice to see your comments, and I'll see you around! -Mysekurity e-mail 21:17, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

YAY!!! Thank you! And nice sig ;) -Mysekurity e-mail 22:45, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

As for your comment about me not liking the sig, I wouldn't be suprised if someone voted oppose based on that. Believe me, I've seen people oppose for the slightest reasons, and yes, sig formatting has been one of them. A question I pose to you is, I can understand why you archive past discussions, but why put active discussions in archives, rather than let other people see them? Curiously, Mysekurity e-mail 02:26, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome. I know I'm just a passer-by but I wanted to welcome you back! Oh and I really like the layout of your main user page! --Stux 19:06, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Wikibreak

Actually I am going to be taking a wikibreak, this is my last day before I'm going into rehab. So I just wanted to make a few more edits before I leave. Private Butcher 19:27, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'll probably be gone for unfortunately around a month. I'm not going to be allowed to use computers or really make much contact with anyone outside of rehab. So it'll probably be a month until I'm back. Private Butcher 19:31, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

wwe roster

Dear SWD316

Alphabetizing Issues on WWE Roster Page I suggest we all the workers in order by the first letter of there stage name as on WWE’s Superstar page but not by articals like for example: Undertaker besides The Undetaker, Rock besides the Rock That would get rid of part-time wrestlers and managers/divas but it would also stop reverting wars that has been going on. BionicWilliam 20:00, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

About OVW & DSW Roster’s in general I would suggest we should split their rosters up into development and the exclusive rosters. Seeing as it is hard to believe every one of those stars under those lists are under WWE Superstar or WWE Developmental Superstar Contracts. BionicWilliam 20:00, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

PS. Doug Basham wrestled on the OVW 10/29/2005 show so maybe he's their unitil WWE has something for him? BionicWilliam 22:26, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dear SWD316 I redid my profile so was not so much like yours, the reason I used bits and pieces of yours since it looks to be the most complete.

About Rosters The reason I suggested the changes is so it will have a straightforward ordering. Also about OVW & DSW, the page is about the Current WWE Roster and most of the mangers (Synn & Bolin to be specific) & new wrestlers are under OVW Contracts not WWE Development Contracts but they might be in the future. BionicWilliam 21:57, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dear SWD316 I Posted my comments on Current WWE Roster talk page before I commented here, Just incase you thought I was being a jerk. BionicWilliam 01:28, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Anon problems

Thanks. I have this feeling he's a person who's been banned from WP, and is sockpuppeting. I see a pattern of insulting me when he finds out I'm wrong. --LBMixPro(Speak on it!) 22:29, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Go ahead. I borrowed it from someone else as well.

Update

Well, WP admins are all over this, as his actions got the INC article indefinetly locked. He's still been doing the same thing to other Wikipedians. He seems to debate the ideas for the article, other than working with us to come up with a useful article. Although he hasn't posted for a few days now. At the moment, some other Wikipedians are trying to find sources to rebuild the article, as well as finding out what INC is compared to other religions. But things seem to have this uncertain calm to it. Other than that, I've been keeping myself busy with other WP matters. --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 23:33, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page header

Go ahead. I borrowed it from someone else as well. I also did some fixes to your header, since it was looking really funny in 800x600 resolution, and was centering everything. Hope they work. Oh, yeah. Thanks for you contribs to the Pro Wrestling WikiProject. --LBMixPro(Speak on it!) 22:46, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what's still making this centered though. I'll keep checking up on it. --LBMixPro(Speak on it!) 22:49, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Anon

Just letting you know, the person who attacked me wrote back at you saying:

You two should both stick to something you know, say like Aguilera and World wrestling federation and leave the serious topics to serious people. IheartWWFwwf(wrestling for gays) 21:37, 9 November 2005 (UTC) --LBMixPro(Speak on it!) 01:53, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I know. I realized it when my edit to User Talk:TheoClarke was met with an Edit Conflict. I'm sorry that I had to pull you into this. I just wanted to let WP:EA know how I was feeling. I didn't even know you were part of Esperanza, until you contacted me about him. This whole thing with the INC article; the Iglesia ni Cristo is a controvercial church who's beliefs are often attacked by detrators who think of it as a cult, no matter how far off to the truth it is. I have this feeling he wants only devoted members of the church to edit the article. A few months ago, I was involved with an Arbitration Committee case with a similar wikipedian called User:Emico. The result was him being banned from the article for a year. This guy seems to have the same editing pattern as Emico, especially after his ban, which makes me want to believe he is the same person. It's a long story though. I'll most likely add this whole thing to his RFAr page. If it's the same person, he's violated his Personal Attack Parole. --LBMixPro(Speak on it!) 04:19, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt it. User:IHeartWWF's only posts were to my talk page, and it is the same thing as what these anons were saying. Regardless; it's not cool, to say the least. Just because I show interest in entertainers than religion doesn't make me any less serious than someone who doesn't even take Wikpedia Policies seriously. --LBMixPro(Speak on it!) 04:59, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

HTML Stuff

See WP:AN. The devs turned off something called "HTML tidy," which made mistakes in HTML on wikipages invisible. As you can see from various talk pages, likie this one, many users' sigs included incorrect coding, which, with the errors now apparent, make the pages look preeeetty ugly. I think you just need to go through you user page, and fix some of the HTML stuff. Sorry I can't help you with this: I have a hugely limited knowledge of programming, coding, and stuff like that. Hope you recover from the flu soon. Cheers, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 23:41, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mickie Jay/Mickey James

when i wrote Mickey James i ment to say Mickey Jay (in the edit) it was a mistake, i know that Mickey Jay supposedly changed his name, but I wanted to point out that on recent editions of WWE television, they still refer to him as Mickey Jay and if you look at Eddie Guerreros' testimonials, he's STILL Mickey Jay.

I'm back from WikiBreak now...

... thanks for adding me to the Esperanza list (did you reorganize it, too? it looks great!) but I'm going to take myself off the Wikibreak. I won't be as active as I was in summer and early fall, because of work responsibilities, but I will be around at least a few times a week. Mamawrites 14:20, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Altieri

The move from "==" to "====" without "===" in between is just for title lists, not for subsections of the career sections. It looks better where title lists are concerned because they are in a list format but is not necessary in the career section, which is mostly paragraphs of text. McPhail 20:10, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I think either way is fine re: the championships, but the way you did it has the advantage of not creating a very large table of contents where the wrestler in question has won titles in many promotions, e.g. Chris Scobille. McPhail 20:23, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Anderson

Yeah, no problem. Also noticed that you mix Champions and Title. We should just pick one and use that. I'd say we should use "... Championship". Also I think we should drop "time" from them, so just "First", "Second", etc. And for tag team titles "First, with John Doe".

About the past stuff, it's forgotten. You've made good edits now, keep it up.

Championships

hey, i see you are converting the championships and accomplishment section, which i think is a good idea but can i make one suggestion; do you think the promtions should be bolded, i think it helps them to stand out and section off the titles without causing the lenghy table of contents --- Paulley 12:22, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

yea that looks easier on the eyes... good work on clearing up all the title history templates and making the succession boxes too. --- Paulley 14:59, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there SWD316. Would you like it if I was to nominate in December? Or whenever siuts you best. I hope you dont mind I checked your last RFA and observed the critisims raised there. Have you acted on those? Do you use the preview more and make use of edit summaries and so on? Anyway thanks for dropping a line while I was on break, I appreciate it. Cheers Banes 16:54, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey no need to pay me back, I would be delighted to nominate you! But first, on the subjects of where you failed in the past. It seems the main critism was not enough time. Sorted, you've been here plenty long enough. Preview, well, it seems you have that sorted as well. Edit summaries, hmm, as you say you havnt used them alot lately. You no doubt already know this but I would consider going crazy with those over the following weeks, because that is a major issue in rfas. So there you go. How does December 14 (my birthday) sound to you? I know it is a while to go but it gives you lots of time to work on the areas you believe you can improve in. But we can do it earlier if you want to. See you Banes 20:02, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Heh heh, I like suprises. So I'll be seeing you then. The nomination shall be made between 19:30 and 20:00 UTC as the evening is pretty much the only time you and I are both online, due to time zones and such. Whatever you do, dont go and call somebody a "dunce" or something before then:-)! Cheers Banes 20:21, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Drug-free template

Hi SWD316, nice drug-free template there! However, it only displays a red link in my babel template. Is it possible for the template to be renamed to User Drug-free as per other language templates? Thank you. *drew 00:01, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

SWD316, thank you so much for the drug-free template. I'm proudly displaying it on my userpage now. The more users that display them, the more we can fight the "hip" image of drug use that many young people in post-industrial societies unfortunately have today. I should also note that many problem users on wikipedia are themselves drug addicts, including one obnoxious propagandist who peddled lies in a nationally infamous "stoner culture" magazine, High Times. Stay drug free so that you can realize the full power of human reason and unleash the cognitive powers of your mind! There are evil forces in this world that would like to sway you into becoming an addict so they can control you. Resist them! Cognition 22:09, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Championship succession boxes

I've made some alterations when I encouter them, I would appriciate you would use these changes when you make the boxes:

 • The header should be "XYZ Championship", not "XYZ Champions", since this is about the succession of that person.
 • Use "First" instead of "First Time".
 • For tag team championships use "First, with person x"

See CM Punk for example. Thanks.

Well, thanks for bringing it up to my attention, SWD. However, could you mind cross-posting that to the Administrators' noticeboard? It is in my opinion sufficient information to ask someone to run a CheckUser query, but I don't have that ability (only a few members of the ArbCom have it). If you ask there, someone will get to it. List_of_drug-free_Wikipedians

I'd like to thank you for your attention to Wikipedia:List_of_drug-free_Wikipedians. Your logo creation and removal of fakes from the list have been especially helpful. If you could now perhaps help me keep an eye on SqueakBox, who is a member of the Rasafarian cult which teaches that marijuana is, literally, holy, and in fact, in the past, and, in many places, today, has preached racism, and has been adding pro-pot POV statements as captions to the images, on the page. Your help in fighting dope and its pushers is truly heroic. Cognition 18:19, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a Rastafarian, that is a Cognition slur (classic cult member behaviour, see Lyndon LaRouche) but Cognition was tampering with my comments for which he has been reported and which I will certainly take further action on if he persists in this manner. Tampering with the comments of other users on wikipedia when those comments are not a personal attack is at all times unacceptable on wikipedia. Please take note, SqueakBox 18:54, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

From User:SqueakBox's userpage: "My greatest achievements here so far have been elevating His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia to the status of Almighty God" ... also, see these edits: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AList_of_drug-free_Wikipedians&diff=29914794&oldid=29912572 (describes marijuana as "sacred"), http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ACognition&diff=22427071&oldid=22421620 (mistakenly believes I have converted to the Rastafarian cult, and congratulates me), http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ACognition&diff=20727072&oldid=20725877 (describes himself as a "pro-marijuana believer"), http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AList_of_drug-free_Wikipedians&diff=18447863&oldid=18445922 (discusses the promotion of cannabis as per "Rasta philosophy"). For not being a Rastafarian, SqueakBox, your beliefs seem to clearly mirror those of the pro-pot Rasta cult. Perhaps all of your pro-Rasta and pro-drug edits were made in jest and I'm simply not clever enough to recognize your satire? Cognition 19:31, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have copied this to Wikipedia talk:List of drug-free Wikipedians. Please both respond there where I have also answered Cognition's latest comment, SqueakBox 22:13, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. See Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:List of drug-free Wikipedians. I personally think the category you created was great as it allows people to express their drug-freeness without making POV statements, and that the page should be deleted now we have the category to replace it. Unlike Cognition, who I feel has used the page to promote anti-pot activism, you seem to just want a list of drug free people without turniung things into a political debate so I hope you will vote to delete the page but it would be good to see your vote either way, SqueakBox 16:56, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedians accused of being possessed???

Ah, you see I went to university at a time when the British government paid for students to go - a system that you don't have in the States (and we don't have any more over here either). *Sigh* those were the days, when education was free and all... Well

First off, you have got to be about the biggest crybaby on wikipedia. I mentally threw up when I came across your page. You get your page vandalized twice, which is a fairly low amount, and you just cry about it on your front page. Why don't you be a man and have a little confidence. All you are is a giant crybaby who is insecure and needs a smack.

And you think you deserve to be an admin? Like half of your edits are on your stupid talk page. The way you talk about members that you accuse of being "poor editors" is just faulty and sad. Shame on you, you deserve a lifetime ban from wikipedia with the actions you have caused. Shame, shame on you.

Excuse Me

I don't know who you are, but I have been told that you have slandered my name across various administrative boards. I'm sorry that your page was vandalized, but I did not do such a thing. Please leave me alone, I don't know who you are, I didn't do any vandalizing. Please stop making rash statements about me and making quick assumptions.

I noticed in one of your board posts, that you say I make poor edits. That is an incredibly stupid thing to say. Most of my edits are typos/style, but they are still important, nonetheless. Mcfly85 09:27, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage has been vandalized 3 times today, if you dont mind my asking, wtf is going on? Still, I dont mind doing it tomorrow at all. P.S. I have been informed that there will be a power cut tomorrow from 07:00 to 14:00 UTC. I planned on doing it at 19:00 UTC, but just in case the cut goes over time, I dont want you to be alarmed. Cheers Banes 15:33, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, is it fine if I nominate you at 19:00 UTC tomorrow? Banes 19:25, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, the vandals, it does seem peculiar though. My userpage has only been vandalized once by someone I didnt know in the real world. The other 2 vandalisms were by people I knew personally who did it as a prank. Oh well. Sadly, I am expecting "Battlefield 2" for my birthday and I have to put up with a power cut, how annoying. Still, I look forward to making you my third successful admin nomination. Cheers Banes 19:32, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Any suggestions on what to write in the nominator comments section:-)?

It is done, good luck. Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/SWD316 2 - Banes 18:42, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to bother you, but a word of friendly advice: Rather dont place comments below oppose votes, I know Rock09's number of edits is suspect, but preferably let others work that out themselves. I am not chastising you, it isnt really any of my business, but when a candidate rebutts statements some other editors frown upon it. Rather stay away from it and let me, and others, do that. Thanks for bearing with me, I hope I havnt sounded too rude... Banes 20:45, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to hear it. For the record, I am not "against" Mcfly85 per se. Heck, I dont even know him. But as I said on the RFA, the diffs you fixed do make one wonder. Anyways its been a long day for me, and its getting on for midnight, so, I'm off for now. Good luck Banes 21:13, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Esperanza Election

SWD, as you are probably aware, the Esperanza elections are coming up. After running for the advisory committee last time, with some degree of success, I have decided to run for the same post again. I noticed that you (graciously) voted for me last time. I hope I can count on your vote again! Working together, we can make Wikipedia a better, more inclusive place. Yours in Esperanza, JDH Owens.

Your RfA

Sure thing! I thought you were one already, though. --King of All the Franks 00:43, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your withdrawn RFA

I am sorry that you felt the need to withdraw your RFA and quit Wikipedia over the actions of one vindictive editor and some probable sock puppets. I think once the facts came out, your nomination would have fared much better. I hope you change your mind and don't let this one user drive you away. -- DS1953 05:13, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. You're a good bloke, and it's this is truly sad. Reconsider, won't you? Some advice- Transformers: The Movie is a classic, watching it always cheers me up. Some MST3K DVD's are good for some laughs too. Give it a try.--Sean|Black 05:18, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Grr... don't let a sock-fest drive you away. Everyone loses, except them. Take a break and then think for a bit, all right? But come back! Titoxd(?!? - did you read this?) 05:35, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am truly sorry to discover that your rfa has backfired to make a good editor pack up and leave. Please reconsider. Cheers Banes 06:06, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I too am sorry that you let the needles of Mcfly85 and his sockpuppets get to you, but your hastily withdrawn RfA and "I Quit" message only confirm my opposition. An administrator should be able to handle people like that with aplomb. For the record, I was in no way influenced by what he and his puppets had to say; I have a great deal of experience in AfD where we deal with puppets (of both the sock and meat varieties) constantly, so it was obvious to me what was happening. My opposition was based solely on your contribution record and I tried to give you constructive advice. I'll repeat: show me that you understand and are able to implement Wikipedia policies while keeping your cool when dealing with idiots, and I'll gladly support you. Additionally, please consider the wisdom imparted at WP:GRFA: Administrator status is not a trophy. Editors who regard being an administrator as an affirmation of their contributions as an editor or an award for good editing or other good service will generally be disappointed. Administrator status does not place you in an elevated status within Wikipedia. Every good-faith editor, from the newest editor to the most experienced bureaucrat, has the same status within Wikipedia. You will not gain respect simply by being an administrator. Hope to see another RfA for you when you can demonstrate that you will wield the administratorship honorably and I will most definitely support you at that time. Well, I can speak for everybody here, as I'm sorry to see you go in such a way. As you helped me in my Wikistress situations, I wish I could help you in a similar way. I'm shocked to see you leave off of a foolish sockpuppet. Given the time, things would have been taken care of, and your RfA could have been successful. Throught my year here at Wikipedia I was faced with similar problems, and sometimes I felt like exploding. If nothing else, this was a test to see if one really has what it takes to become a Wikipedia admin. The thing about having more abilities, is having more responsibilities. In my three days of being a rollback enabled RC patroller, I've had my userpage already vandalized, as well as seeing my fellow RC patrollers have their user (talk) pages replaced with penis pictures. It only gets more difficult. But remember, it took me over a year to get my adminship. And even so, I didn't get full support.

I see you have the potential to be a good admin. I hope you could take this more as a wikibreak, than an actual resignation. --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 09:45, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am always disturbed when good editors get chased off the project by the Rfa process (which is itself inherently at fault). I have seen to many good editors go this way. Hope you come back, don't let the bxxxxxds grind you down, SqueakBox 15:16, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

I am not a sockpuppet for mcfly85. How dare you make such a rash accusation. If I were you, I'd take down all that slanderous material that you have posted about that user. Calling him names like an "asshole" is just sad and makes you look worse. And you said you were a Christian. Remove those nasty materials you have said about mcfly85, it would work out to both of your favors. Rock09 09:58, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise for what I'm about to say but SWD316 is a much more valued contributor than that of a possible sockpuppet with only 12 edits. --Celestianpower hablamé 15:47, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
12 edits...some of which are vandalism. I hope to see you back soon SWD316. Just cool off and relax for awhile.... Banes 18:38, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I never once said that I was a more valued contributor, but I do feel that SWD316 is vastly overrated. I feel that his comments on his user page are personal attacks toward me and mcfly85 and other valid users and they should be removed. It makes him look bad to call people "assholes" and it also makes him look like a basket case. Yes, I have not been around long, and I have experiemented a bit, but there is no reason to have those personal attacks on his user page, no reason at all, that's the main point here. Rock09 19:06, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but you made him leave. There's no excuse and stop wasting our time. --Celestianpower hablamé 19:23, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I am not wasting your time, you are wasting it yourself. I want you all to take a look at this link Wikipedia:No_personal_attacks. There are obvious violations of what is official policy on the user page. And I did not make him leave, he obviously must have a low mental capacity and left himself. He just cannot handle that someone just doesn't feel he should be an admin. Rock09 19:29, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
