Survivor: Samoa
On December 20, 2009, during the live reunion show for Survivor: Samoa, it was announced that Hantz garnered two of nine votes. He lost to winner Natalie White[3], with Mick Trimming receiving no votes.
He did not receive the votes of contestants Dave Ball, Erik Cardona, Brett Clouser, Laura Morett, Monica Padilla, Jaison Robinson, and Kelly Sharbaugh, only winning the votes of John Fincher and Shannon "Shambo" Waters. At the live reunion show, Hantz offered Natalie $10,000 for the title of Sole Survivor, an offer which she declined later in the show. However, Hantz won the $100,000 "Sprint Fan Favorite".
