Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to New York Islanders. Your edits have been automatically marked as unconstructive/possible vandalism and have been automatically reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you believe there has been a mistake and would like to report a false positive, please report it here and then remove this warning from your talk page. If your edit was not vandalism, please feel free to make your edit again after reporting it. The following is the log entry regarding this warning: New York Islanders was changed by 192.77.143.150 (u) (t) making a minor change with obscenities on 2009-01-26T17:29:19+00:00 . Thank you. Request reason:

As evidence shows, there has been little vandalism coming from this IP. This block is completely unfair. It appears that only one or two users in the whole college are vandalizing the site, it is not fair to block the entire college.

Decline reason:

This IP address has been blocked because someone was using an account to vandalize from this IP address. If we were to unblock this address, we would be allowing that vandal to continue his disruption. I'm sorry, but sometimes that's the way things go. If you are a legitimate user, you should request an account. That way, you can build up a reputation for good edits, and we can allow you to continue to edit even if someone else is being stupid. — J.delanoygabsadds 23:00, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I think the IP has been blocked long enough. Besides, it is not fair to the other students and faculty here that one user has gotten the whole school blocked. On top of that, I need to edit Wikipedia for a project that I am doing. Please unblock the IP. Thank you.

Decline reason:

This one is marked as a 'checkuserblock', so regular admins are unlikely to lift it. If you have created an account, and you have some trouble using it from your current location, you can add {{unblock|your reason here}} on the talk page of that registered account, and someone will show up to assist you. Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Anderson Cooper. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Cirt (talk) 00:10, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did to Anderson Cooper, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Additional of poorly sourced info, fails WP:RS, on WP:BLP page. -- Cirt (talk) 00:14, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for 1 year for Biographical article policy violations

This IP address has been blocked from editing for the next year due to ongoing violations of our biographical article policy, inserting unsupported potentially negative statements into an article over and over again despite multiple warnings. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 00:28, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 year for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

192.77.143.150 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have done absolutely nothing wrong. Firstly, All of my edits, with the exception of the first one, were cited using verifiable sources. Secondly, I only received two warnings rather than the four that Wikipedia policy calls for. Thirdly, other kids need to use this IP to edit for homework assignments. Also, I don't know who's book two times constitutes "over and over again." It is completely out of your league and a violation of Wikipedia policy to block the IP for an entire year when just about all of my edits are cited, this is a shared IP, and I only received two warnings instead of four before being blocked. Please lift the block at once. Thank you.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I have done absolutely nothing wrong. Firstly, All of my edits, with the exception of the first one, were cited using verifiable sources. Secondly, I only received two warnings rather than the four that Wikipedia policy calls for. Thirdly, other kids need to use this IP to edit for homework assignments. Please lift the block at once. Thank you. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=I have done absolutely nothing wrong. Firstly, All of my edits, with the exception of the first one, were cited using verifiable sources. Secondly, I only received two warnings rather than the four that Wikipedia policy calls for. Thirdly, other kids need to use this IP to edit for homework assignments. Please lift the block at once. Thank you. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=I have done absolutely nothing wrong. Firstly, All of my edits, with the exception of the first one, were cited using verifiable sources.
