Teams
PDRM FA was relegated at the end of the 2009 season after finishing in last place. Furthermore, UPB-MyTeam FC and Kuala Muda Naza FC announced their withdrawal from the league after the conclusion of the 2009 season.[1]
The three teams were replaced by 2009 Premier League Malaysia runners-up PBDKT T-Team FC from Terengganu, third-placed Johor FA and fourth-placed Kuala Lumpur FA. Premier League Malaysia champions Harimau Muda A were not promoted after a decision of the Malaysian FA.[citation needed]
