Pétur Eyþórsson was born in Húsavík 1978. Pétur is a renowned glima champion, he has won the glima grettisbelt multiple times and was voted the best wrestler during the first IGA world championship. He is the son of Eyþór Pétursson a famus glima wrestler in the 1980´s.
