Bas-Uele (Lower Uele) is one of the provinces created in the Democratic Republic of Congo by the Constitution of May 2005 which became law on 18 February 2006. It lies in the north-east of the country on the Uele River and was formerly part of the province of Orientale. The capital of Bas-Uele Province is the town of Buta.
