Three Dollar Bill, Yall$ is the debut album by American nu metal band Limp Bizkit, released July 1, 1997 through Flip/Interscope. It was produced by Ross Robinson and was certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA in July 2001 in the US.[1] It features the singles "Counterfeit", "Sour" and "Faith".
Production
Three Dollar Bill, Yall$ was recorded in only six days (nine of the songs were done in three days). The album strongly reflects the influence of Hed PE; Fred Durst listened to the band's debut, Church of Realities, throughout the recording of Three Dollar Bill, Yall$.[2][3] The work of Deftones and Esham also influenced the album's sound.[4]
The album was mixed at Soundtrack Studio in New York City and mastered at Masterdisk in New York City. In the band's biography by Colin Devenish, it is said the album's title is consisted of "queer as a three dollar bill" and the down-home Florida slang "y'all".
Some copies of the disc have Intro mislabeled as Infest. Also, Intro had originally been the intro to the song Pollution as can be heard on the Pollution demo. The hidden track "Blind" is actually a remake of a song on Mental Aquaducts. The final track, "Everything" is simply a jam session that was recorded.

Through extensive touring and the band's later breakthrough into the mainstream, the album went double platinum in 2001.[5] Part of the reason the band stood out was their kinetic, frenzied energy on stage.[5]
