The President of the Maldives is the Head of State and Head of Government and first citizen of the Republic of Maldives and the Commander-in-Chief of the Maldives National Defence Force.
The current President is Mohammed Waheed Hassan Manik ,he is also being called as Baghee Waheed by the Supporters of Former President His Excellency President Nasheed, who came into power after the resignation of [Mohamed Nasheed] on 7 February 2012.[1][2][3]
