The "Fuck Rosie" single isn't on his MySpace anymore so I deleted the reference to it. - Anonymous 01/30/07

whoever said that it wasnt a battle between jin and cassidy is wrong, heres proof:

cassidy says: what happened youre album?... im going platinum like sisqo hair.....

jin says: hes seen better punchlines at the prom waiting for drinks....

thats directed at someone......oviously each other.....

www.radioblogclub.com type in jin and it'll be half way down....that is the cassidy v jin battle oviously....

also when he says CHECK UR TIMBS...AS IN TIMBERLANDS ..the boots

Perhaps I am under the wrong impression, but searching on "Learn Chinese" should not lead me to this page.

John

my guess is that it shouldn't, it should bring up a search page but jin has a song called 'learn chinese'

where is the evidence that he supports the Chinese Nationalist (KMT) party? I highly doubt this, and am removing it from the article.--RA64 20:42, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

quote: You wanna say im' chinese sonny? here's a reminda/ check your TIPS they probably say "made in china" i have heard this over and over and seen the video many times and i am positive he says TIPS! as in tips of your trainers. i have never heard anyone call them your 'timbs' or 'tims.' if anyone wants to argue with me then please do so

"Tims" refers to Timberland boots. Jim Apple 14:09, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah i realised that he coulda been talkin bout that after watchin the vid a couple more times sorry but i still think he said 'tips' Desolationwilliams 23:57(GMT) 6 December 2005

Well, I know you can nominate a article for “featured” status... —Wiki Wikardo 00:20, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to edit that part about Jin battling Cassidy, they never battled, they simply freestyled over the same instrumental at the same radio station which is why when you listen to the audio track that Jin's verse is significantly shorter than Cass' as well as the lack of really personal disses between them since both could've brought up the fact that the other's albums don't sell or other things which usually come up when two emcees are as high-profile and well-known for their actions and pasts. There's a discussion of that fact here... http://www.hollafront.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1439832#post1439832 and you can hear the audio clip in question here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=230934&songID=2170364

Is jin still in ruff ryder

no, he left after disputes with them, you can hear more about it in his newer albums.ne0rc

I'm not so certain, he probably has remaining contractual obligations to Virgin. Whodisbe 23:17, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Simplified/Traditional

Where’s Jin’s family from? Should this article include the simplified characters as in U.S. Chinatowns it’s mostly traditional? —Wiki Wikardo 00:20, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jin's family is from hong kong 155.232.128.10 06:34, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He does not speak Chinese. Watch any of the videos of him with Wang Lee Hom in Taiwan. While the interviewers and Lee Hom go on in Mandarin, he's just smiling politely. Also, I haven't seen a video of him speak Mandarin, nor does he speak it in any of his raps. -Terence P.S. It's Tims, as in Timberlands. Look up Tims on urbandictionary.

What do you mean he doesn't speak Chinese? Cantonese is Chinese. His parents are from HK, they all speak Canto there, Taiwan is all Mando. Of course he would just smile politely when people are talking Mandarin is completely different. Zarcath 23:04, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have heard him speak very little Mandarin in a video when he was in Taiwan. Also he speaks fluent Cantonese Chinese. BillSung

He rap and speak in Cantonese at a music program (shown on 2 July 2008) of TVB, which is a Hong Kong TV channel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.189.4.1 (talk) 15:31, 2 July 2008 (UTC) they use traditional Chinese in Chinatown, but american universities teach Chinese in simplified. simplified is also easier to read, thats why its called simplified. many people's Chinese comprehension is not high enough to read traditional. language is used for communication. whats the point of writing in traditional if most people cant read it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snappysammy (talkcontribs) 17:04, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

jin and cassidy

jin and cassidy never battled. if they did, wouldn't common sense tell you that it would be a huge event? wouldn't there be dozens of videos showing them battling? Messycans 15:27, 8 April 2007 (UTC) j.[reply]

Is this album still availible for purchase in the US? Every single record store in the UK say that the album has been deleted or something. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by BillSung (talkcontribs) 20:01, August 21, 2007 (UTC).

Uh... so what happened here? Why is there a tag on the article that says it has been edited excessively by Jin himself? Lady Galaxy 22:44, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese American

As his parents are described as Overseas Chinese and the article has a Category:Chinese American musicians tag, I've changed "American" to Chinese American in the lead, hope that's OK. 58.8.8.75 (talk) 18:54, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The infobox has too much info. It does not follow guidelines. The section on his works is too crowded. This stuff needs to be cutdown. 174.252.7.205 (talk) 20:51, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
