I'm sorry I missed the deadline on the Hack Wilson GA status because I'm on vacation and had no time to log on.

roger clemens

clemens played 24 seasons in the major leagues. He was found not guilty in a court of law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This must be emphasized over steriod accusations. The governments main witness rebuffed himself in court. He was renowned for being a power pitcher with control. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.230.228.129 (talk) 23:41, 4 September 2012 (UTC) Found reference for velocity, it isn't up to opinions anymore. a revert is in bad faith. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.230.228.129 (talk) 02:24, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Exact type of player I have no idea why you create re-directs for.--Yankees10 19:06, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How did I know exactly who was messaging me and why when I saw that yellow bar? This time you're probably right. He should have his own article. He meets GNG. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:28, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How does Hector Correa not fit the non-notable minor leaguer? Other than being on the 40 man (which he isn't anymore) I don't see anything notable about him.--Yankees10 23:06, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see the difference between Correa and Albert Suarez (a PROD you endorsed). But looking at the edit history I guess its pretty clear why...--Yankees10 23:13, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I resent that accusation. I didn't remember that I created the redirect. Correa at this point is not notable in my eyes, but I'm following consensus, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Albert Suarez reaffirmed that consensus is to merge active players. I'll endorse your Miguel De Los Santos PROD, since he's been released, whether or not I created it. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:16, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure why one AFD equals consensus but alright whatever.--Yankees10 23:19, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's been more than one AFD. It's one recent AFD, but a whole long line of AFD's in the past. I figured we'd give it a shot with Suarez, but consensus appears to still be where it is. If you want to try it again, I can't stop you from unmerging and taking it to AFD. I'll even vote delete. But I imagine it'll close as merge. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:29, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

--NW (Talk) 02:18, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Muboshgu. I saw your most recent edits. Finally, someone opened their eyes and saw the problems with the cites that I repeatedly mentioned in my edit comments and on Cresix's talk page. :) In terms of "wide coverage", that is an objective fact, not subjective or POV. Have you read Clint Eastwood at the 2012 Republican National Convention? Here are a few quotes from that article, which of course are fully supported by the sources and the facts:

  • "The speech, broadcast in a prime time slot, was viewed live by about 30 million Americans. It met with a wide array of responses and stirred discussion."
  • "Eastwood's speech was viewed live by 30.3 million Americans, across at least 11 television networks which were broadcasting coverage of the convention. (Those numbers do not count those watching on C-SPAN, whose audience is not measured.)"

Clearly, that article and the sources absolutely verify that the speech received wide media coverage. It's a fact, not an opinion. Would anyone who's familiar with the speech say that it did not receive wide media coverage? Of course not. The problem with the wording in Clint Eastwood, as it stands now, is that it gives no indication whatsoever how "big"/prominent the speech was in the media (newspapers, television, online, etc). It is the most famous speech Eastwood has ever given, and will certainly be the one he's most remembered for. Yet reading the article gives no indication of that at all. It needs to do that to accurately reflect what happened. In any case, thank you for being the first editor to recognize the problems with the cites that I had alluded to many times. When someone deletes an entire edit, including all the good parts, it indicates that it's personal rather than to help improve the project. Thanks. --76.189.97.91 (talk) 22:09, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've dropped a few comments about minor issues. Overall, you've done a great job in improving the list and getting it to where it is now.

Could you return the favor and review the FLC I nominated. It's just one review away from getting promoted. Cheers! —Bloom6132 (talk) 11:23, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Will do. Maybe not today, but probably by tomorrow. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:37, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User:Activist inappropriate editing at Clint Eastwood talk page

This is to make you aware that User:Activist copy and pasted my and Cresix's comments from Cresix's talk page and his own talk page into the Clint Eastwood talk page, as if Cresix and I posted them there ourselves. Here's the edit. I couldn't believe it when I saw it because I knew I hadn't posted those comments there. Activist did not have my permission to do that, and I assume he did not have Cresix's permission either. I removed Cresix's and my comments from the Eastwood talk page. Activist also copy and pasted his own comment from Cresix's talk page, including the original date/time posted. I'm not sure what can be done about this, but I'll leave it up to you and Cresix to decide. I don't know Activist, but I told him in my edit comment never to do that again. I do agree that the empty chair speech content needs to be expanded a bit in the Eastwood article, but what Activist did is ridiculously inappropriate. I'm writing you about this since you are the one who started the Eastwood talk page thread. I also wrote Cresix about this. --76.189.97.91 (talk) 20:49, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. I've expanded Allie Clark over the weekend, and realized that it's eligible for DYK. I have absolutely no idea how to navigate anything there anymore, so would you be able to nom it and find a decent fact in the article? Wizardman Operation Big Bear 05:16, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can do. It's not that hard a process, though. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:31, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Baseball Mountain

Hey, I just wanted to give you a heads up that in the coming days and weeks I will attempt to work on Pat Gillick and Jim Thome. I'll be away this weekend, so if they're not done by Friday, I'll resume by Monday. Thanks for your work on this project. Go Phightins! (talk) 00:56, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, take your time. Thanks for picking up a couple of these articles. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:23, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, as you can probably guess by my username, I like the Phillies and these are two of my favorites. I'll try to keep a neutral POV, though. Thanks for the invite to the task force. I will join. Go Phightins! (talk) 02:01, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do what you know and what interests you. That's why I do lots of Yankees articles. (BTW remember the 2009 World Series? That was awesome :P ). – Muboshgu (talk) 21:15, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Is there any way the DGA icon template can be implemented to the Mountain page? Also, I don't see a way to add a DGA to the Hall Project page (probably requires higher level of user rights). I'm speaking of the Roberto Clemente article, for example. It might be a good idea to implement such on the Mountain page, especially since former GAs typically require less work than C- or B-rated articles. Zepppep (talk) 18:11, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We can play around with Baseball Mountain to find the best way to integrate it. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure. As for DGA's, they're listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball/Hall of Fame task force/Recognized content (Clemente's will update the next time the bot runs). – Muboshgu (talk) 19:00, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was about to promote this to a prep area but I noticed your approval note said "I would suggest using ALT1 after a slight rewrite for clarity", which to me means that you have a problem with ALT1 as it is, but still think it superior to the others.

Approved hooks are currently at a premium: there are 15 to fill 9 slots, and a lot of them deserve consideration as lead slots which means they're less likely to be chosen: Happy Wheels is a prime target. Please consider making that rewrite yourself; I've just failed at my own attempt, so I'll hold off promoting it for now, but I think you're more likely to end up with one of the other hooks (or, worse, an unedited ALT1). BlueMoonset (talk) 21:22, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Right. It just occurred to me when I read ALT1 that something was slightly off in the wording, but I didn't have any specific thoughts. Given the lack of approved hooks, I'll give it a try. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:24, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like it got grabbed shortly after you did so. Thank! BlueMoonset (talk) 23:45, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly there is a lack of approved hooks right now. I owe a couple more QPQ's on nominations I've made, so I'll perform them by tomorrow to help out. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:50, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Extra QPQ?

Muboshgu, I was going through the list of DYK nominees, looking for missing QPQs, and I think you oversupplied for Joe Molloy. It's a double-hook nom, but you supplied both a single review (Happy Wheels) and a triple-hook review. The triple was more than sufficient. Feel free to remove Happy Wheels from that one and use it elsewhere. (Not that we couldn't use more reviews, mind you, but I didn't want you to waste one unless you really wanted to.) BlueMoonset (talk) 07:09, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. I just saw where you used up the other two from the triple, so Joe would have been the one left from the triple plus the Happy. Looks like it's all even. Sorry to bother you! BlueMoonset (talk) 07:11, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:29, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. If you have time, would you be able to do a prose review at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Stan Coveleski/archive1? My usual group of reviewers on my articles is either on wikibreak (Sarastro) or on quasi-break (Giants), so look slike I'll have to scope out reviewers myself this time. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 18:59, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I'm usually hesitant to get involved in FAC reviewing (I'm 1-for-5 in my nominations so far), but I certainly think I owe you some QPQ for all the articles of mine you've reviewed. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:00, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Paul DePodesta photo

Hi Muboshgu, I figured I should let you know that the photo you uploaded does not include Paul DePodesta – this is what he actually looks like. I re-captioned the photo on Billy Beane's page, and removed it from DePodesta's, because it isn't really relevant anymore. I totally understand the mistake - I've done the same exact thing when a Flickr uploader mislabled their photo. I just wanted to make sure you didn't think I removed it for no reason. Thanks. Delaywaves • talk 18:50, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, my bad. Thanks for letting me know. I hate when people mislabel photos, but I didn't take the due diligence to double check that it was DePodesta. I have no idea who that is now. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:52, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
