Just to let you know

A user reverted your closure of Personal (album). Since they didn't let you know, I'm just leaving you a note here notifying you. And you aren't the first closure of the AfD that this user has reverted. Cheers. Statυs (talk) 14:48, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Status, thanks for letting me know. Looks like Hahc has found an admin to take care of closing it....so we can breathe a bit. Keep up your fantastic contributions! :) —Theopolisme 21:23, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! Thank you, you too. Statυs (talk) 01:10, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Theopolisme, we met in the chat. Would be great if you could look into that article and inform me about what you think. Thanks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Ulrich_W._Schiefer Maria Konstantinidou (talk) 12:37, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Maria. I've reviewed the submission and everything looked fine, so I've moved it to the mainspace: see Ulrich W. Schiefer. Happy editing! :) —Theopolisme 22:30, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Isla Aves

the change in maritime boundary laws has had an important effect in how the value of Aves is peceived. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.30.202.36 (talk) 01:22, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 66 — I'm sorry but I have no idea what you might be talking about. Links? Thanks again, —Theopolisme 01:26, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In the article on Isla Aves I said that the Dominicans consider Aves a rock. If you know International Maritime Law the distance from a geological feature differs depending on whether it is considered land or rock. The boundary extends out further from land than a rock. There are possibilities of fishing in any body of sea. There have historically been several nations claiming Aves. Currently it is regarded property of Venezuela but two Caribbean nations have had irredentist claims. Venezuela provides aid to Caribbean nations but there is also a fishing industry and nationalist pride. The concession made by the government of Dominica acknowledges the Venezuelans ownership. However by recognizing it as a rock instead of land they can defend continued right to fish and national pride. I was trying to be brief when I wrote the sentence you removed. There are so many ramifications to this that I could write an explanation longer than the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.30.202.36 (talk) 01:39, 17 November 2012 (UTC) RichardBond (talk) 01:42, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 66 — are you sure that it is neccessary? The lead already states,
"According to the UN Law of the Seas it is classified as a rock, which would only give Venezuela a twelve mile economic zone. However, Venezuela claims it is an island, which grants it a 200 mile Exclusive Economic Zone."
Do you not find that sufficient? However, if you do believe that the Dominican information is of that importance, though, including a reliable source is a must if you'd like to reinsert it. —Theopolisme 04:47, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your feedback, Theopolisme! I notice you're a fan of Poul Anderson: I am too! A great strain of poetry runs through his science fiction. I'm a science-fiction poet myself, and in real life my name is Andrew Joron. Thanks again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Surrealscientist (talkcontribs) 06:16, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Andrew, great to hear! Happy to learn someone other than me is into ... the less trodden-on lanes of sci-fi, shall we say. :) —Theopolisme 06:26, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, you can't A7 a plugin. It's a download, not web content. The site from which it can be obtained could be speedied, but not the plugin. It goes in a browser, so it's not used through the web like a blog or website or multi-user game. I've prodded it, after deciding that it wasn't a hoax as I thought at first sight. Even so, it's one of the most pointless plugins I've heard of. Peridon (talk) 18:30, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Heh. I figured we could have a bit of wp:IARish leniency....but no matter. On a related note, do you know of any discussion of A7 being extended to computer programs? I've seen an increase in clearly A7-like (10 downloads, etc) pages about computer programs...but have had to PROD them. Just a thought. Thanks, —Theopolisme 18:51, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There's a lot of crap posted in the way of open source twiddles that might interest three people (apart from their creator) but it has to be prodded - unless they make the mistake of making the article about the company... I've not heard of anything, but I probably don't know where things like that hang out. I keep out of the boards unless I'm involved in something, or want to rant at the technical people about some new mod they've made which annoys me. Probably should go in more, but they depress me. I prefer the front line life. Just keep prodding and AfDing. CSD is purely a short cut that bypasses those in certain defined criteria. IAR at CSD can be dodgy. Slight stretchings of interpretations can be excused, but not redefinitions and reversals. Peridon (talk) 19:20, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So close!

Well this isn't really a AFD that qualifies for a "non-admin" keep closure (maybe no consensus if anything), I was about to rebuke Nintendude64 comment which was faulty policy-wise but I saw you close this, not to mention the other keep comment was weak as well (though I should have went to specifics as well in my delete comment). Can you reverse your closure of this and let an administrator decide if they want to close this or relist it again. It was an ill closure. Thanks Secret account 07:34, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I'm happy to let it run its course. —Theopolisme 11:57, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Iganmode Grammar School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Otta (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

M. Macha Nightmare Deletion Nomination

Just FYI: The link you provided to the talk page for the 2nd deletion nomination, the one that just closed (2012), appears to lead to the first nomination instead (2010).Rosencomet (talk) 23:48, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Other Deletion Nominations to Close

I was a contributor to these, so I don't think I should close them, but they appear to be no-brainers and a week old. Could you give them a look? Kenny Klein, LaSara FireFox, Luisah Teish and Trance Mission. Thanks!Rosencomet (talk) 00:11, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I don't understand what I'm supposed to have done wrong, but I also don't understand when a Nomination gets the attention of someone who can close it when the time comes. Is there someone who takes it on when the nomination is made? Really, I don't know much about that side of Wikipedia. I'm not trying to violate any of the MANY rules and guidelines and just plain essays that seem to exist here, and it doesn't help that Qworty sort of dogs my heels and jumps in with an accusation of wrong-doing whenever I try to have a conversation with or make a suggestion to anyone. If I'm crossing some line of protocol, just tell me; believe me, I'm not looking to cause any problems. Rosencomet (talk) 02:41, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see you relisted this for debate. You realise, don't you, that the merge has been done, and so "keep" and "merge" are equivalent in this instance - hence, everyone has basically agreed. Relisting would seem to be a waste of people's time. StAnselm (talk) 00:48, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've just notice that you're not even an admin. I hope you know what you're doing. I would like to draw your attention to WP:RELISTINGISEVIL. StAnselm (talk) 01:19, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Revision of Mona Charen Article

I do not remember what I wrote in Mona Charen's article that you felt compelled to remove; however, it is entirely possible that it was indeed, as you put it, "not constructive". However, given that nothing Mona Charen espouses even remotely approaches the level of "constructive", I felt I was well within my rights to talk about her in precisely the same manner that she talks about others. In fact, given the drivel that she routinely spouts, what I wrote was probably a good deal more constructive than her standard faire. With this in mind, you might want to reconsider your decision. 70.140.185.205 (talk) 01:53, 20 November 2012 (UTC) How do I sign this? I don't have a handle. But if I did have one, it would be vt500ascott.[reply]

Hi there, 70.140. This is a link to what I undid — as you can see, it was an unsourced allegation about her...which violates WP:BLP, a Wikipedia policy. —Theopolisme 02:05, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
