'Valleys' stations
I'm not sure if Caldicot, Chepstow and the like can be described as "valleys stations". I suggest a reorganisation to reflect Network Rail's definition of the different routes - South Wales Valleys (Route 13), South & Central Wales and Borders (14) and Great Western (15).[1][2] Pondle (talk) 21:50, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
New colours
The latest version of the official map has assigned a dark blue to Ebbw Vale. The other colours have been tweaked, some are duplicated because they appear that way on the map itself. 81.110.104.91 (talk) 17:27, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Sources for Valley Lines
Lines have since been added. Here are three sources Arriva Trains Wales, Project Mapping and National Rail. Simply south...... wearing fish for just 6 years 18:55, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- I was going by the lower of the two maps at Arriva Trains Wales (PDF download; lo-res JPEG). That shows the Maesteg and Cheltenham routes as a brown line and the Ebbw Vale route as a dark blue line ; both of these are as broad as the routes to e.g. Rhymney or Merthyr . Compare them to the routes to Port Talbot, Neath and Swansea; and to The North, Bristol and London which are shown as a thinner grey line . The PDF download shows "Valleys & Cardiff Local Routes" at the top. Both this title and the line style suggest to me that Arriva Wales consider both the Ebbw Vale and Maesteg-Cheltenham services as part of the group which includes the Valleys routes. The PDF map is current: not only is it on the present website, but it states at the very bottom "Display until 31 December 2013"; and in the legend box is the date code "ATW v13 01.12" - Arriva Trains Wales, version 13, January 2012. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:06, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- I agree. I don't see why the Ebbw Valley line should be exempt. It's not a national service, it's a regional one and should be treated as such. The editor who reverted has a history of making similar edits, attempting to distance the Ebbw Valley Line from Cardiff's rail network. Welshleprechaun 20:03, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
