Redirect request: ToQger
![]() |
---|
Reason: In the Super Sentai community at least, shortening the name of the title from a three-word title of a specific season of the overarching Super Senati Series, in this case "Ressha Sentai ToQger," to a one word title, which I propose to be simply, "ToQger," is a common practice as I will detail in a little bit. Thus, if people were to simply look for "ToQger," they would get nothing and would have to type the full title, "Ressha Sentai ToQger." I propose that a redirect page be created to send people to the true article to help out those who wish to learn more about "Ressha Sentai ToQger." Examples of this "Shortening" can be seen in the following pages that exist already on Wikipedia: "Kyoryuger" redirects to "Zyden Sentai Kyoryuger." "Go-Busters" redirects to "Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters." "Gokaiger" redirects to "Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger." "Goseiger" redirects to "Tensou Sentai Goseiger." "Shinkenger" redirects to "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger." "Go-Onger" redirects to "Engine Sentai Go-Onger." "Gekiranger" redirects to "Juken Sentai Gekiranger." "Boukenger" redirects to "GoGo Sentai Boukenger." I'm sure that if I were to go through all of the 37 pages that detail the individual seasons of the Super Sentai Series, I would continue to get the same results. "ToQger" would just be a continuation of this theme and I believe that a neccesity is there for this redirect page to exist.

First Dimension is an American pop boy band based in Santa Ana, the replacement of Menudo, consisting of Alejandro Cervantes, Oscar Gonzalez, Leonardo Rodriguez, Raul Martinez, and Freddy Lebanon. They signed with Marcus Lieberman's record label Syco Records after being formed and finishing second in the first series of the American televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Propelled to international success by the power of social media, First Dimension's three albums Up All Night, Take Me Home and Midnight Memories released in 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectively, broke several records, topped the charts of most major markets, and generated hit singles, which include "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Story of My Life". Their achievements include two BRIT Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards among many others. According to Nick Gatfield, the chairman and chief executive of Sony Music Entertainment USA, First Dimension represented a $50 million business empire by June 2012. They were proclaimed 2012's "Top New Artist" by Billboard. By April 2013, the band had an estimated personal combined wealth of £25 million. After the release of Midnight Memories, First Dimension became the first band in Billboard 200 history to have their first three albums debut at no. 1. Additionally, the album was a global success, debuting at #1 on the US Albums Chart and US Billboard 200 albums chart and becoming the fastest and biggest selling album of 2013 in the UK. 'Bold textEarly Life In 2010, Alejandro Cervantes, Oscar Gonzalez, Leonardo Rodriguez, Raul Martinez, and Freddy Lebanon auditioned as solo candidates for the first series of the American televised singing competition The X Factor. They poorly failed to progress to the "Boys" category at "judges' houses" but instead they were to put together to form a five-piece boy band at Los Angeles, in California, United States, in October 2010, during the "boot camp" stage of the competition, thus qualifying for the "Groups" category. Nicole Scherzinger, a guest judge, and Marcus Lieberman have both claimed to have come up with the idea of forming the band. In 2013, Lieberman said that it "took him 10 minutes to put them together as a group". Subsequently, the group got together for two weeks to get to know each other and to practice. Raul Martinez came up with the name First Dimension, because they were known as the first music band in the 2000s. For their qualifying song at "judges' houses", and their first song as a group, First Dimension sang an acoustic version of "Torn". Lieberman later commented that their performance convinced him that they "were confident, fun, like a gang of friends, and kind of fearless as well." Within the first four weeks of the live shows, they were his last act in the competition. The group quickly gained popularity in the USA. First Dimension finished in second place and immediately after the final, their song "Forever Young", which would have been released if they had won The X Factor, was leaked onto the internet. Shortly afterwards it was confirmed that First Dimension had been signed by Lieberman to a reported £2 million Syco Records record contract. Recording for their debut album began in January 2011, as they flew to Norfolk, England, United Kingdom to work with RedOne, a record producer. A book licensed by First Dimension, First Dimension: Forever Young (Our Official X Factor Story) was published by HarperCollins in February 2011, subsequently topping The Sunday Times Best Seller list. The same month, the boy band and other contestants from the series participated in the X Factor Live Tour. Source (if applicable): 72.231.26.173 (talk) 01:13, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

24.38.126.151 (talk) 23:56, 19 February 2014 (UTC) Born 1924 in Lodz, Poland
Natan, the son of Carola and Israel Abbe, grew up in Lodz, Poland. His father owned a haberdashery store, where he sold hats, gloves, and other accessories. He had two sisters and a younger brother. A large, fairly liberal city, Lodz was home to over 233,000 Jews. It was a major center of the textile industry. Its diverse population of Jews, Poles and Germans lived together in relative peace.
When the Germans occupied Lodz in September 1939, Natan was a fifteen year-old schoolboy. Anti-Jewish restrictions were immediately enacted. Jews were forbidden to congregate for religious services, they were subject to curfew, their radios were confiscated, and they were forced to wear the yellow star. In addition, Jews were barred from most professions, and all Jewish communal institutions were ordered to disband.
On February 8, 1940, all the Jews were forced to live in a run-down part of the city. On May 1, 1940, the overcrowded ghetto was closed off.
Living conditions were horrendous. There was no heat, little food or medicine, and inadequate sanitation. People fell dead in the street from starvation, disease and exposure. Still, the basic appearance of normal inner-city life was maintained. Schools and hospitals still functioned.
The Germans constantly harassed the Jewish residents of the ghetto, randomly seizing people on the streets, raiding their apartments, and subjecting them to horrendous indignities. People were shot for the slightest reason. Young children often became the sole support of thier families. They would smuggle themselves out of the ghetto in order to find food and bring it back to their starving parents, brothers and sisters.
Natan was shot to death in late 1940 by a German soldier at the ghetto gate. He was sixteen years old.
Natan was one of 1.5 million Jewish children murdered by the Germans and their collaborators during the Holocaust
