Early Italian Championships

[edit]

I noticed that the first few italian championships were decided in just one day, with sometimes only 4 teams participating. I have been wondering what these teams did the rest of the year. Did they just unite for these one-day tournaments, or did they play throughout the year in games that were never recorded? For instance, in the 1898 championship there were only 4 teams entered. Were these the only 4 teams the existed in Italy that year? Did they just practice a few weeks before the tournament, play for that one day, and then disband until the next year? I am curious to know how early soccer teams functioned.Juve2000 (talk) 01:50, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1912-13

[edit]

A tag has been placed on S.S. Todi Calcio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Thank you for uploading File:Kit body blueyellowvertical.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. multichill (talk) 13:15, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cut and paste move

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Rino Mercante Stadium a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Stadio Rino Mercante. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Misfits

[edit]

I am confused by some of the changes you made to Misfits album articles. You placed song/single titles in italics, when they are supposed to be placed in quotes (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums#Formatting). You also moved Cuts from the Crypt to an incorrect title by capitalizing the "f": The word "From" in this title is a preposition and thus shouldn't be capitalized (see WP:ALBUMCAPS). Finally, you broke up the chronology chain into a bunch of sub-chains (albums/EPs/compilations); this is unnecessarily confusing. There is consensus that all albums and EPs should be in a single chronological chain (see WT:ALBUMS#Consensus on chronologies). --IllaZilla (talk) 17:30, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Not encyclopedic"

[edit]

I have removed all of the speedy deletion tags that you placed where you used the criteria "Not encyclopedic". This is not a valid speedy deletion criteria and mass tagging a large number of articles, as you did, could be considered malicious. Please take the time to choose a more appropriate criteria. Double Identity

[edit]

Dear CapPixel, have done in creating the user Dormannu a big vandalism. Do not get smart, do not deny the evidence useless. Connect in 2 different times, as you did yesterday after we pointed out, confirms it even more. You were naive in create a new user 5 minutes after your last edit. The administrators will see that you both use the same IP.

So stop to vandalism and take a break, otherwise you will be blocked. --93.56.243.36 (talk) 06:16, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're so stupid. "Do not get smart"? Again, you surely don't know what "smart" means. Anyway since you're not able to register (you have to click on the upper right corner, you can nickname yourself "persone del fare" hahaha), you're probably not going to see this answer. By the way, what do your multiple personalitis say? I want to know Asdrubale, Orosimbo and Genoveffo's opinions. You're so funny! CapPixel (talk) 13:02, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're still betrayed: the last sentence of Dormannu in his user talk was put only 7 minutes after your last change. Have you a telepathic connection? You can not find it odd that a user Norwegian suddenly interests and only of teams of Ancona re-enter your exact version. At least you could be more original!

Who you kidding? Denying the evidence is useless, but instead worse your position. Now that you have been discovered not to create a third user.

Please note that having already made three vandalism (which is useless to ask as you know it) and with many repetitions, you risk a long block. You should then stop and give yourself a break. If you do not, you will be responsible for the consequences: after not say that you have not been warned. --93.56.242.46 (talk) 05:41, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah... I don't see any vandalism, other than yours. I don't know who Dormannu is and still I have to see any example of my vandalism. By the way, betrayed by whom? Go and play in the sandbox instead of ruining wikipedia. CapPixel (talk) 10:17, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited 2012 PDL season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Raleigh County (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Undefined sources

[edit]

Hi CapPixel. Even if able to speak your native language, I'm trying to write in english: mine isn't as good as yours (I must admit) :(.

I noticed it's been you to write between 2008 and 2009 all italian Prima Divisione and Serie C seasons. Italian pages had been edited from different users Lochness, Murray, Pozzi and various IP without indicating sources. I'm very much upset discovering some italian users didn't look for the tables published by the "Almanacco Illustrato del Calcio" which got published first in 1939 (first edition had been edited as "Enciclopedia illustrata del calcio italiano") containing at page 245 Serie B from 1929-30 to 1937-38 and at page 267 all Serie C from season 1935-36 to 1937-38, pages I got them photo copied at public milanese library "Sormani" in Milan a few cents per page without any copyright limitation just because original books are safe somewhere and you should have been given just a copied booklet.

I think you didn't know which kind of books had been used but I guess you know that online uploaded from CONI's library is still available the daily sports paper Il Littoriale (by Ricerca avanzata).

Main problem I want you to know is:
those tables uploaded using those edited by "Geo edizioni" are not written the way "Il Littoriale" and "Almanacco illustrato del calcio" did in those years and sure you can scroll down first one (the newspaper) and get the desired pages containing official reports too received from "D.D.S. (Direttorio Divisioni Superiori) showing you that excluded teams (for various reasons not telling about you know) regularly are not listed because accomplishing those rules still stating today the must be not classificated even if relegated in a lower league/championship.

I can send you a fax/scan copy all overmentioned books to you to be compared because you must understand Geo edizioni's editor added in a bad way something he didn't have to show because right tables must accomplish those rules and who's stating me in it.wikipedia "must be listed excluded teams just because relegated" is wrong because rules are still reporting (see 18 del C.G.S. F.I.G.C. and 53 N.O.I.F. della F.I.G.C.)

Rule 18 point i: "esclusione dal campionato di competenza o da qualsiasi altra competizione agonistica obbligatoria, con assegnazione da parte del Consiglio federale ad uno dei campionati di categoria inferiore" (it's up to the Federation to decide which championshis the team must be relegated).

IPs stating relegation is authomatic: those lines are not telling this. They got excluded ? They're added to the championship they'll be deserving or trashed and if you want to play you'll be starting from Terza Categoria.

In some of the elder championship of mid thirties there was just 1 lower level (depending on which region they were from) and teams rejected to be relegated because not honourably for them getting back in amateur-like championships (if you read it:Carta di Viareggio if you can't understand the meaning of "non dilettanti" I'll be explaining you) so that they preferred to apply for re-election.

And nowhere is told relegated team must be classified cause you don't know that no position can be assigned when occurring those rules (and automated FIGC tables regularly putting name of excluded ones out of the square containing datas - punition you can see mostly on regional amateur tables).

I had been in a war edit with same users you reverted in Ancona's and other pages. They are distroing in taht way our tables on it.wikipedia and my claim is still there waiting for someone finding a clue because they don't understand what I wrote. There's one table where had been listed: 14th 1 team retired before start; 15th retired during first leg; 16th retired during second leg. FIGC could never and ever do this because rule had been made to grant other teams none would be given a better position if punished. Someone stating relegated teams must be classified are infringing equity and just a few exceptions due to "causa di forza maggiore" (sorry can't translate this) can grant a position just if occurring a particular situation in which the team couldn't do anything to avoid a forced anticipated withdraw from championship.

Many of your pages (not all) must be corrected and I can look for the pages to show you I'm right and those books are wrong. Just give me a feedback if you want to do it because someone won't be of the same idea and pages need to be protected. Regards.--93.150.218.9 (talk) 00:06, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't care. Do whatever you want with those articles. Bye! CapPixel (talk) 11:43, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do I have to add some linkings to the online sports newspaper and published books ?.--2.33.168.187 (talk) 12:28, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please take a look at season Prima Divisione 1929-30 group A how I wrote footnotes: should I write (n.l.) not listed or (n.c.) not classified ?. Thanks in advance.--2.33.168.187 (talk) 22:07, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Table of group A was wrong because:
  • none of the tables published by all sports pages (Il Littoriale, Gazzetta dello Sport and Paese Sportivo di Torino) mentioned points, played games W-D-L-and Home/Away goals for both retired teams.
  • there's no need to put in evidence deducted points (collected before the retirement) which have to be considered cancelled with all cancelled results (as stated by the reports). If we really want to take note of not played games punished by a 0-2 and 1 point deducted we should have done this in the results' table pointing out those matches.
  • Editor compiled that table in this way just because his program can put excluded teams in a lower line with partial totalizations before retirement and always giving a position (1 to last one) to any of the team composing this group. He has no need to consider the "pari merito", maybe he doesn't know he should take care about it.
This means his program hasn't got an option to allow him to choose how to sort out team position and this happens too for his books he published for seasons 1938-39 to 1941-42 in which he had never added a column for the goal average. That's why I'm always correcting tables copied from those books Admin Vituzzu of it:wikipedia told me not to consider my claim as a copyright violation.--2.33.168.187 (talk) 23:38, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
