Rollback

(add requestview requests)

Sorry, please be aware that unregistered users cannot be granted permissions due to technical restrictions. Please create an account in order to request user account permissions.

Administrator notation templates

This template is used to answer requests for permissions, especially the rollback user right.

::{{subst:RFPR|option}} ~~~~

The second (unnamed) parameter is optional. It can be omitted or used to specify the admin when marking a request as already done or the number of edits when declining due to inexperience.
Result Code Normalized code
 Done ::{{subst:RFPR|d}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|done}} ~~~~
 Already done by {{admin|X}} ::{{subst:RFPR|ad|X}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|alreadydone|X}} ~~~~
 Revoked ::{{subst:RFPR|r}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|revoked}} ~~~~
 Not done ::{{subst:RFPR|nd}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|notdone}} ~~~~
 Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. With only {{{X}}} edits to the mainspace, I don't think you have sufficient editing experience yet. Take a moment to check out what counter-vandalism is at WP:CVU, and if you decide you'd like to get involved, you can enroll at the Counter Vandalism Academy to learn more. ::{{subst:RFPR|exp|X}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|moreedits|X}} ~~~~
 Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. I see you just also applied for Pending Changes Reviewer. Let's see how you get on with that first and then we'll take another look again when you've made a few more edits. ::{{subst:RFPR|rvw}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|alsorequestedreviewer}} ~~~~
 Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. This is not what Rollback is for. Take a moment to read Wikipedia:Rollback and if that's what you would like to do, you can then check out the Counter Vandalism Unit to learn more. ::{{subst:RFPR|nrb}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|notrollback}} ~~~~
I have been an editor for a number of years and would like rollback rights to allow me to tackle vandalism and unconstructive edits more effectively. Lamberhurst (talk) 19:13, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Have been more active on wikipedia these last few years, edit count now approaching 3000. Frequently have to deal with vandalism or unconstructive edits on articles in my watch list. MaxBrowne (talk) 00:45, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have been an editor for more than 9 years. I request you to consider granting me this right in order to facilitate my rectification of the disruption caused by multiple sock accounts of a blocked user. Thank you. Ali Fazal (talk) 12:02, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
 Not done, your own blocks for SPI and 3RR issues are too recent, if there is an issue that needs cleanup please post at WP:ANI. — xaosflux Talk 13:47, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have been an editor for a number of years, particularly interested in WikiProject Visual arts and WikiProject Physics related material, and would like rollback rights to allow me to deal with vandalism and unconstructive edits more effectively. The fields of fine arts and physics are targeted by vandals quite often. Coldcreation (talk) 17:11, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note: Withdrawn by requester

I request this permission to combat vandalism via Huggle. I am using Twinkle and Lupin Tools now to rollback IP vandalism. My request was declined three times becase of lack of experience, but now I have enough to get this one. In future, I am going to get new pages patroller permission to combat vandalism there too. Also, I am member of CVU, Small Wiki Monitoring group in Meta and experienced rollbacker in Russian WIkipedia. Ochilov (talk) 11:06, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
information Administrator note Prior denials on Dec 4th by @MusikAnimal:, Dec 14th by @Kudpung:, and Dec 24th by @MusikAnimal:. Comments by prior decliners are welcome below, however I think it is best if a different admin closes this time. — xaosflux Talk 14:46, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
information Administrator note I'm still concerned with your CSD tagging. This non notable autobio today, for example, as G3 (Pure vandalism and blatant hoax) and A1, instead of A7 which is what it should have been. This leaves a doubt as to your ability to correctly identify vandalism. A couple of months between new requests for tools here is the norm - it's your experience on en.Wiki that we need to measure. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 17:18, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
information Administrator note Some of your recent reverts look okay, but others I'm not too sure about. This edit seemed perfectly constructive, where an IP justifiably added maintenance templates which you removed. Here you restored unsourced content, in what I would consider content likely to be challenged. In other words, the removal seemed valid to me. That may be subjective, but if anything I don't think you should treat an edit like this as vandalism. This edit was certainly made in good-faith. Finally, it is customary to warn vandals after reverting their edits. I think you're on the right track. My best advice is to enroll in the CV training program. — MusikAnimal talk 20:35, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
 Request withdrawn. I will apply maybe in February and will train in CVSCHOOL.--Ochilov (talk) 02:05, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
 Not done (procedural). de-archiving to keep the request page consistent and to avoid the introduction of any new trends here, and a standard 'not dne' template for the archive bot. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:45, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The archive bot has been down for over a month :) — xaosflux Talk 04:29, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
