A tag has been placed on Sahir Lodhi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Nomoskedasticity (talk) 19:03, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sahir Lodhi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable, unsourced new BLP, and a search suggests it won't be possible to do a good job with sourcing on this one

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomoskedasticity (talk) 11:21, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adherents of other faiths

Hello,

The articles on Mirpur and Azad Kashmir don't have any information about the other religions in the area, which is unusual for an article on South Asia. Could you provide some info on the other sects and religions? (such as Hindus, Shias and Ahmadis) Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.19.6.50 (talk) 15:24, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kashmiri

Hello, I see you speak Kashmiri natively. Currently, the MediaWiki software has poor support for Kashmiri and the Kashmiri Wikipedia has no community (probably due to the script issues). I'd like to ask if you are interested in translating a bit of the MediaWiki interface into Kashmiri. If so, please say in which scripts you are able to translate (and which script should be the default). I also contacted other Wikipedia editors who indicated they speak Kashmiri. Thank you, SPQRobin (talk) 22:43, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just connecting

I read in your page that you have good experience in editing Kashmir related articles. I have worked on quite a few myself. Thought it'd be a good idea to connect and get your views on them. You can get to see the list of articles created and edited/improved by me on my user page. I also got interested in your user page because of the word 'Perso-Arab', & was wondering what it means. My understanding of history is that the two (Persian & Arab) are distinctly different and historically, the arabs never made it as far as the NW of the Indian sub-continent. It was mostly the persians and turks (original turks from central asia) that later began the south asian invasions. Would be interested to get some reviews and historical updates. Central asian history has always interested me.-Ambar (talk) 08:49, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
