Trevor John Siemian (born December 26, 1991) is an American football quarterback for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). Siemian played college football at Northwestern [1][2][3] and attended Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Broncos, the seventh and final quarterback to be taken.
Professional career
Siemian was drafted with the 250th pick (overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.[4] He made his NFL debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 20, 2015, taking a kneel down to close out the first half.[5] He received a Super Bowl ring when the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24–10 in Super Bowl 50.
The retirement of Peyton Manning in 2016 opened a competition for the starting quarterback of the Broncos between Siemian, veteran Mark Sanchez and rookie Paxton Lynch.[6] On August 22nd, the Broncos announced that Siemian would be their starting quarterback in week 3 of the Preseason against the Los Angeles Rams.[7]
