Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology or SZABIST as it is commonly reffered to is a Chartered Institute, with headquarters at Karachi and campuses at Islamabad, Karachi, Larkana and Dubai. The institute offers programs in Business Administration, Computer Science, Law and Development/Economics.

Established through an Act of Sindh Assembly (Sindh Act No. XI of 1995) and is approved and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as a degree granting institution. SZABIST has Campuses in Karachi, Islamabad, Larkana & Dubai (UAE). It is a registered member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), Asia University Federation (AUF) and the Association of SAARC Universities (ASU).

The institute also has had its MBA program listed in Business Week as amongst the best in Asia. SZABIST invites visiting professors, politicians and other professionals for short lectures and this aspect gives the institute a great degree of competition. It is well known for providing high-quality education.

Programs Offered

The school offers Bachelors and Masters degrees in Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Economic Policy Management, Social Sciences, Economics and Law.

Faculty

SZABIST has eminent fulltime and adjunct faculty having degrees from top-tier international universities including Oxford, Cornell, London School of Economics and Columbia. Past and present faculty includes the likes of Dr. Shahida Wizarat and Dr. Kaiser Bengali. It also has a Rhodes Scholar as a fulltime faculty member.

Alumni

Graduates include a Rhodes Scholar and Fulbright Scholars. The alumni routinely pursue higher studies with placements in the most reputed foreign universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Columbia, Duke, Johns Hopkins and London School of Economics.
