Jian Ghomeshi - needs semi-protect?

Hi Bearcat

I reworked the Ghomeshi article but you didn't like the edits. Can you explain?

I didn't delete anything of consequence. There was a lot of overlap with the "Trial of Jian Ghomeshi" page so I transferred paragraphs from one article to another. I also removed some items about the bail and scheduling of the preliminary court proceedings because they are out-of-date. The trial is now completed.

The inclusion of the findings of the Rubin Report fairly represents her findings as well as the limitations of the report. The report acknowledged the limitations.

The "Trial by Media" section merely notes the discrepancy between the negative media coverage and the fact that he was successful at trial and the Carleton University investigation found no wrongdoing.

I referenced everything so I'm unclear what you find objectionable. Please note this was a highly publicized item with all major media outlets in Canada providing coverage. In addition, the court decision is available.

Thanks! User: WSDavitt

MfD Opinion #2

Hi there! I was just wondering if I could get your opinion on Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Soorebia? If not that's fine.

Thanks for your time!

Second opinion request on Draft:Byzantine Silver

Hi there! Could you possibly take a look at Draft:Byzantine Silver for me and let me know what you think? I am thinking that it might be acceptable in its current form (some minor formatting fixes though) and was wondering what your thoughts on it are.

Thanks for your time!

Sorry to knock on your door, but if you have a moment, it would be very helpful for an uninvolved admin to have a look at the recent history of the page above. I have an IP editor that keeps reverting without explanation. Mlaffs (talk) 23:35, 11 April 2017 (UTC) [reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alejandra Ribera, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Latin music (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Democratoz Article

Hi Barecat! I don't really get how to reply on the messages I recieve. I recieved a message about deletion of my recent article Democratoz. Can I know why please? Thank you very much for your cooperation and advice

"Omar Tarawneh 22:53, 16 April 2017 (UTC)"

re

I see your point. Would it be possible to re-publish the page after modifying its content to be conform with Wikipedia standards? I mean it is not banned from being posted again, right?

As for the references, I have all the links to written and online press, especially for the US tour included in the article. The fact that I put Youtube videos is just because I thought that a tvinterview is a document that is taken into consideration when used as a reference.

Thank you for your help "Omar Tarawneh 23:03, 16 April 2017 (UTC)" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Omartara (talkcontribs)

Comments on a talk page

Hello Bearcat. While merging in some information about a non-notable band, I came across this talk page: Talk:George Burdi. I know it's not a part of the encyclopedia, but some of the postings there seem more like gossip and general opinion rather than discussion of Mr. Burdi. Do you think that any of it should be removed?—Anne Delong (talk) 11:03, 22 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article DROG Records has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable label. Appears to be for local bands.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Article on Gary Denniss

You say it needs "secondary sources" - According to the Wikipedia defn of secondary sources, every one of my references are secondary: "Wikipedia articles should be based mainly on reliable secondary sources, i.e., a document or recording that relates or discusses information originally presented elsewhere." I have removed most of the items from "Reviews" section, all of which are "secondary" sources, and added them to the reference section, to increase the number of secondary sources from about 25 to now 40. I hope this helps. Katsheron (talk) 18:44, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
