Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests
Here the community can nominate articles to be selected as "Today's featured article" (TFA) on the main page. The TFA section aims to highlight the range of articles that have "featured article" status, from Art and architecture through to Warfare, and wherever possible it tries to avoid similar topics appearing too close together without good reason. Requests are not the only factor in scheduling the TFA (see Choosing Today's Featured Article); the final decision rests with the TFA coordinators: Wehwalt, Dank and Gog the Mild, who also select TFAs for dates where no suggestions are put forward. Please confine requests to this page, and remember that community endorsement on this page does not necessarily mean the article will appear on the requested date.
If you have an exceptional request that deviates from these instructions (for example, an article making a second appearance as TFA, or a "double-header"), please discuss the matter with the TFA coordinators beforehand. It can be helpful to add the article to the pending requests template, if the desired date for the article is beyond the 30-day period. This does not guarantee selection, but does help others see what nominations may be forthcoming. Requesters should still nominate the article here during the 30-day time-frame.

How to post a new nomination:
Scheduling: In the absence of exceptional circumstances, TFAs are scheduled in date order, not according to how long nominations have been open or how many supportive comments they have. So, for example, January 31 will not be scheduled until January 30 has been scheduled (by TFAR nomination or otherwise). |

Jennifer Lawrence (born 1990) is an American actress. After starring on The Bill Engvall Show (2007–2009) and making her film debut in 2008's Garden Party, she had her breakthrough with Winter's Bone in 2010. Lawrence's fame continued to grow when she played Mystique in X-Men: First Class (2011) and Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games films (2012–2015). She would go on to become the second-youngest recipient of the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in 2012's Silver Linings Playbook, win a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her role in American Hustle (2013), and receive Golden Globe Awards for both films as well as 2015's Joy. The earnings of her films have grossed up to $5.5 billion globally, and Lawrence is also the world's highest-paid actress since 2015. (Full article...)

The T3 was a sea-going torpedo boat that was operated by the Royal Yugoslav Navy between 1921 and 1941. Originally 78 T, a 250t-class torpedo boat of the Austro-Hungarian Navy, she saw active service during World War I, performing convoy, escort and minesweeping tasks, anti-submarine operations and shore bombardment missions. Following Austria-Hungary's defeat in 1918, she was allocated to Yugoslavia and renamed T3. She was captured by the Italians during the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia in April 1941. After her main armament was modernised, she served with the Italian Navy as ‘’T3’’, although she was only used for coastal and second-line tasks. Following the Italian capitulation in September 1943, she was captured by Germany, and, after being fitted with additional anti-aircraft guns, she served with the German Navy or the Navy of the Independent State of Croatia as TA48. In German/Croatian service her crew of 52 consisted entirely of Croatian officers and enlisted men. She was sunk by Allied aircraft in February 1945 while in the port of Trieste, where she had been built. (Full article...)

- I would not be opposed to as this one would be schedule for late August so that gives almost a month of a separation. I would only take issue if two similar topics were running within a few days or weeks of each other. Aoba47 (talk) 21:13, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- OK, I'll plan on running it. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 01:21, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- Also, Sava is actually running in its Austro-Hungarian guise (re: WWI service), rather than its Yugoslav one. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 03:52, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

Eve (2003 TV series)

Eve is an American television sitcom that originally aired for three seasons on United Paramount Network (UPN) from September 15, 2003, to May 11, 2006. Featuring an ensemble cast consisting of Eve, Jason George, Ali Landry, Natalie Desselle-Reid, Brian Hooks, and Sean Maguire, the show revolves around two sets of male and female friends attempting to navigate relationships with the opposite sex. It was created as part of the network's attempt to appeal to a younger audience. It suffered from low viewership despite its high ratings among young Hispanic women; it was canceled following UPN's merger with The WB to launch The CW in 2006. The cancellations of this and other black sitcoms were criticized for reducing representation of African-American characters and reducing the number of roles for African-American actors on television. Critical response to Eve was mixed; some praised its inclusion as a part of UPN's line-up of black sitcoms, others felt Eve lacked charisma, and that the series was inferior to other black sitcoms. - @TFA coordinators I just realized that requests are currently only being taken for the month of August. I apologize for my mistake, as I should have read through everything before putting in a request. I am okay with this being removed given the above, as I can put up the request again in the future when requests are being taken for the month of September. Sorry again for the inconvenience. Aoba47 (talk) 17:01, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
