List of Arrowverse cast members

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by NTC TNT (talk | contribs) at 20:38, 28 November 2017 (→‎Legends of Tomorrow). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Arthur Darvill (top; L-R) headline Arrow, The Flash, Vixen, and the first season of Legends of Tomorrow, respectively. Caity Lotz (bottom; L) headlines seasons 2-3 of Legends of Tomorrow, Russell Tovey (bottom; C) headlines Freedom Fighters: The Ray and Matt Ryan (bottom; R) will headline the animated Constantine.

The Arrowverse is a shared fictional universe that is the setting of superhero television series airing on The CW, produced by DC Entertainment and based on characters that appear in DC Comics publications. The shared universe includes three live-action television series, Arrow, The Flash, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and one animated web series, Vixen. The universe is set to expand with further animated web series set in the Arrowverse, Freedom Fighters: The Ray and Constantine, in 2017.

Each series has its own lead actors: Stephen Amell stars as Oliver Queen / Green Arrow on Arrow; Grant Gustin stars as Barry Allen / Flash on The Flash; Megalyn Echikunwoke stars as Mari Jiwe McCabe / Vixen in Vixen; Arthur Darvill stars as Rip Hunter in Legends of Tomorrow, alongside an ensemble cast including Victor Garber as Martin Stein, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer / The Atom, Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl, Franz Drameh as Jefferson "Jax" Jackson, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory / Heat Wave, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart / Captain Cold, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance / White Canary, Falk Hentschel as Carter Hall / Hawkman, Amy Pemberton as the voice of Gideon, Nick Zano as Nate Heywood, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Amaya Jiwe / Vixen, and Matt Letscher as Eobard Thawne / Reverse-Flash; Russell Tovey stars as Ray Terrill / The Ray in Freedom Fighters: The Ray; and Matt Ryan reprises his role of John Constantine in Constantine from the live-action NBC series of the same name.

In 2016, Miller, John Barrowman, and Katie Cassidy signed contracts to serve as regular cast members across all of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, allowing them to appear in any episode of those series. Other actors who have major recurring roles in the universe include Paul Blackthorne, Casper Crump, Neal McDonough, Danielle Panabaker, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, and Carlos Valdes. Additionally, several characters have crossed over from the non-Arrowverse series Supergirl, including Melissa Benoist as the title character from that show.

Gustin, Valdes, Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary), Candice Patton (Iris West), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak/Overwatch), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold) and Russel Tovey (Ray Terrill/The Ray) will all appear in the third season of Supergirl, for the first installment of the 2017 four-way crossover event, which continues into an episode of Arrow, followed by The Flash and concludes on Legends of Tomorrow, all due to be broadcast on The CW across November 27 and 28.[57]

Notes

  1. ^ Eobard Thawne is portrayed by recurring guest star Matt Letscher, but he was introduced in the first season of The Flash while having assumed the identity and appearance of Harrison Wells, during which time he was portrayed by main cast member Tom Cavanaugh.[100]
  2. ^ Pemberton also physically appeared as the character in the second season episode, "Land of the Lost".[154]
